Clementi’s

I very rarely downgrade stars on my reviews unless I feel a real need to do so. I feel this place deserved it. Came here almost a year ago with my team for the fish fry, I wasn’t impressed (see my last review). For some reason my team really likes this place. Outvoted, here I am here again. Decided I’d give them another shot with something different.
I didn’t have a huge hunger to fill today so I just decided to get the stuffed eggplant parmesan. I asked the waitress the size of the dish and she replied that it was a nice size. Wow was that a lie! I have never seen an eggplant parmesan so small! The whole dish was about half the size of my hand with a plate full of sauce. I tried to stretch it but no go so I ended up sharing my wife’s prosciutto Salad.
The fact that this place is in the middle of a business district and is typically EMPTY at lunch time is a sign. The only reason I give 2 stars is because the waiters/​waitresses try. The waitress tried to get me to order something additional but I didn’t feel like spending more $$. Definitely don’t have to come back to this place.

Wandered in here because of a search I did on Beer Menus. This is a hidden gem for high end craft beer! Struck up a convo with the managing partner, Mike. He’s a beer geek and super nice.
I had Revolutuon Deth’s Tar on tap and a bottle of Coffee Dino S’Mores. That tells you all you need to know about the beer in this place.
I had a great artisan pizza with my beer. The wait staff was attentive and super nice.
I live about 15 miles from here, and would definitely trek back again

I like the menu. The ambience seemed nice. If only I could have ordered food.
Clement’s seems to be a popular local establishment. I wandered in at 8:30pm on a Wednesday. Trivia night was ongoing. I wanted to taste a craft beer on tap but was told it would cost $ 1.50 to taste. Fair enough. Businesses have to set boundaries. However I discount a bar that advertises a plethora of craft brews and won’t indulge 1 – 2 splashes of taste.
So I ordered a random choice and enjoyed it. I also asked for a menu and wanted to order food. But alas, the bartender cleaned glasses, refilled other bar patrons drinks, chatted with the owner, and basically did everything but give me a chance to order food. She did stop to ask if I wanted to order after 20 minutes; and when the beer was nearly empty.
My rating is based upon what I felt was poor service and that I did not feel that my business was not welcome. Finished my beer while being unable to order. Paid cash to escape and left.
