My husband’s niece works as a waitress here so since we were in the LA area for a family vacation, we decided to come by. Parking is very small since it shares the spot with convenient stores and a nail salon. So you’re better off with street parking. The neighborhood isn’t all that great either. Once you enter, the place is pretty dark. There’s a bar and a karaōke stage, which is good for my husband’s nieces since they love to sing. The food there is good. We ordered the sinigang, chicken and lechon kawalii. For my son, the cook was able cook fries for him. If you’re looking for authentic Filipino food, go over to Bistro Manila.

Quick Tip: Halibut Sinigang Had a gig here with the band«Cave Under Water.» Then decided to get something to eat… Decided on Halibut Sinigang. One word, WOW… Besides the fish, there was ample amount of veggies, including okra. And it came out in a soup pot and was piping hot!!! A must for this dish… I was quite surprised with this place… The outside didn’t do the inside justice, jus goes to show don’t judge by the outward appearance… The inside had home Pilipino culture, down to Pilipino’s albums were hung up on the walls! Sarap ang Bistro Manila!!! Siempre! P. S. Service was impeccable! Big Ups to Ellie and the Crew! :D

Karaōke, bar, and Filipino food… is this Max’s? Nope. Max’s has more of a twist on Filipino staples… this place is TRULY Filipino. The food is delicious, but I’ve only been here for celebrations. They have Filipino beer(San Miguel) which is always a must before you go up on stage to karaōke! The karaōke regulars are funny as heck. They just remind you of your drunk uncles stealing the mic from your 5 year old niece. Admit it… there’s always one in the family. Come here with friends and enjoy the family atmosphere. It’s like coming home to a family BBQ where the uncles take over the mic, the titas cook bomb dishes, and the cousins bring out all the alcohol.
