Dirty. .I got Nancy and she was rude until it was time to pay and then she was nice as pie, I should have read the comments before I came in..

Horrible!!! I will never come back nor will I ever recommend this dirty place to anyone. I was so disgusted & idk why I even stayed but I was already there. The place is dirty, not sure if the tools are even clean & they don’t wash/​rinse the tubs before sitting another person down. Disgusting please do not waste ur money here, u will thank me!!! My picture tells it all, this is the service they provide. Left my index finger with a bump in the middle?!! How embarrassing… DO NOT COME HERE!!!

This my favorite nail place, they clean my dry skin .any other place they do but not good as them.

Took my sister to get her nails done there since it’s close by our house, and it was the worst idea ever ! I took her on Sunday and not even a week with her nails & TWO of her nails BROKE! Never going there again!

I’ve been looking for someone who can do acrylic nails correctly for years. Lou is a true professional. He knows exactly what to do, he was fast and very affordable. I’ll definitely be back

First time I come here… And I love my nails. The man (idk his name) that did them did an awesome job. He was quick and at the same time very detailed. Will most likely come again. The place is not all that… it’s alright. Could be a little cleaner. Needs new paint or something. Just saying… But the prices are good compared to other nail shops around that area.

Totally unsanitary. No plastic bag in the pedi spa. I mean, get with the times. She was ripping out my nails. I had to stop her. It’s like have you never cut nails before! I felt like I was in a torture chamber. No relaxing at all! Very dirty and unorganized. The electric nail grinder has clearly never been cleaned. She just used it and put it back in the drawer with the rest of the unsanitized tools. Do NOT come here!!!

The worst place to get anything done! I called to make an appointment and when I got there they said No one by my name is on the books. Then had the nerve to say I probably called another place, when I showed them my call log no one even apologized they said sorry cant do your feet today make another appointment! Are you kidding me after working a 12hr shift a wasted mt time and gas. Very rude. And to top ot of they dont sterilize there tools gross!!!

Went here for the first time today while seeing my foot Dr across the street.
Lou did my fill, and he was fast and did a great job! I didn’t get the man’s name who did my pedicure but he did a nice job too. I am going to be in a parade this Saturday, and wanted my nails designed. Myra did a fabulous job, and did my eyebrows as well. It cost me 51.00 for everything, but I also tipped another 14.00. The place is small, but nice and cool inside. Plenty of parking in the CVS shopping center. Prices are decent, but i live in Tarzana, and found place in Reseda with a bit cheaper price. All in all I would come back if in the area. They were friendly, quick and do nice work. Cash only though no credit, debit or checks, so come prepared!

I have been coming here for YEARS & I’ve never written a review. I’ll try to keep it as short as I possibly can & informative… Here we go:
Pedicures: BY FAR my girl here is Mayra. She is the ONLY one who is allowed to do my pedicures (with the except of Jenny who’s done them twice), manicures & designs. ZERO complaints when it comes to Mayra!!! By far the most valuable employee, so much so, that I make appointments a day or two in advance. She’s precise, keen to detail & extremely talented. I love her & if she ever leaves, I’ll follow her… Even back to her country. Jk.
Sidenote: Jenny is also really good & requires appointments made in advance. She’s just as popular as Mayra.
Full-​sets: I’ve bounced around with EVERYONE here. Lou was my favorite & unfortunately, he moved… EXCEPT HE’S BACK!!! (Swear he’s sitting in front of me!) I will still review the others. Before Lou’s return, they hired Joe & he’s great too! He’s a little slow, but his work is good. I will definitely use him as an alternate to Lou if I’m ever in a hurry.
I’ve had my ups & downs with this place & with BOTH owners. Kwan & Lee. I am not on speaking terms with Kwan because we got in an argument once. To me, customer service is important & if you yell at me, THAT IS NOT OKAY. The ONLY reason I’ve stayed thus far is because of Mayra. No lie.
Eyelash extensions: Nancy is very good & patient with eyelash extensions. I’ve only done these a handful of times but she’s great only for extensions (key word «only,» in my opinion).
Eyebrows: I’ve tried eyebrows here w/​both Nancy & Mayra…& I’ll just stick with my regular lady elsewhere.
I could review everyone based on word of mouth & my interaction with them over the years, but this is enough. 4 stars because of Mayra.

Jennifer took her time and did an awesome job on my pedi. She took off all my callus, totally worth paying 5 $ extra. Some people just rush through pedi at this place but NOT her. Thanks!

I’ve been here for other services, that’s why I gave this place 3 stars… Jenny deserves 5 stars though.

Ive been coming here since 2001, services is ok but sometimes i feel like they do a rushed job. But ever since i had my bad experience i will never come here again, i came in for a nail takeoff and a new set. The the lady took off my nails and basically pulled a peace of my natural nail off even when i was telling her to stop! Ugh i was so angry and to top it off she still wanted me to pay!!! I told the owner and he said nothing they just starting speaking in theyre language. never again!

Worst place to get a manicure. Poor application of polish. Super sloppy, didn’t even attempt to clean it up. Yes it’s cheap but not worth it. To top it off the polish didn’t even last until the next day.

nasty dirty i dont know if i can find a another. name for this placeyou have to wait to get anty thing done in here they dont care whos turn it is .if they know the person walk in after you. guess whos turn is next.

Service is bad. Had to wait an hr to be seen and then they rushed us out charged me $ 7 to do design my nail and they did a crappy job and didn’t do what I asked them. It hasn’t even been a day and they are all chipped. Not good.

I came here through a recommendation from my coworker, a few months ago. It’s a chill spot. I say make an appointment to avoid the wait. Every time I went, I didn’t make an appointment and was taken in a snap. Just depends on the flow of people coming in.
I don’t know the man who did my nails for my full set, but he was nice.
The picture is my second fill by a lady and I didn’t get her name, but she was nice as well.

I have to say this place is the best for pedicures! I have been getting my pedicures done here for a few years now and they are the best! Mayra & Jenny are the best, they take their time, detail and do some great designs!
On the other hand I am not much if a fan with the acrylic work but maybe I’m just picky… they get the job done that’s it.
Their prices I think are fair not too expensive so that is a definite plus!
Over all American Nails is a great place!

Ok walked in and thought to myself WTH! LOL. A Little dated but thats okay, they weren’t that busy that was a plus didnt really feel like waiting long. The nice woman who done my feet her name is Jenny, she gave me a great pedicure and she take her time loved it. I will be coming back. Customer service was ok not alot of talking among the nail techs and all them had their feet done with cute design, not that boring flower most nail shops try to offer you. Not the most fanciest shop but Ms Jenny did great work.

Ghetto place, but it’s still the Best in the West.
Trust me when I say, I have been to approx 20 – 30 different nail salons around the valley, and yes, I’ve found some good ones, but none have had the same quality as the ones i get here.
NOTE: i ONLY like the way Mayra does my nails. she takes her time (about an hour and a half), and she makes sure they are perfectly squared and equal (to the other hand) and the best part is that they usually last over 4 weeks.
