Nurses are very nice. I was treated with care in a professional setting. Staff was warm although the nurse I had was a little impatient with how long I was taking to fill out my paperwork. I went in for a cleaning and a little sensitivity to sweets. Then came Dr. Niles. He was late to see me because a friend of his cane in to talk about a restaurant trip. The minute he walked in I could feel his ego full the whole room. He glanced at my teeth, jotted some notes and sat me up. Then he proceeded to tell me about me grinding my teeth. I’ve heard it all before, and as I told him that he became very defensive– telling me I would need a denture by 25. I’m a poor college student in my 6th year of college– I cannot afford a $ 400 mouth guard. Instead of trying to work with me he began breaking down other options as in: $ 400 now, or yanking all your teeth out at $ 140 a tooth and giving you a denture at 30. I felt very attacked. He was rude and didn’t have to listen to what I had to say. Don’t go to this arrogant man. Take the extra time to drive out to someone who is knowledgable and will work with you.
