Stopped at the Mirage Sports Bar and Grill for a bite as we passed through town. Although the menu was not vast, mostly burgers and pizzas… lots of apps and drinks, our food was outstanding! We chose the Animal Burger and the small White BBQ Chicken Pizza. The burger was mustard grilled and dressed to perfection, accompanied by fries which were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The burger and fries were a perfect combination and delectable to the last bite. The small pizza was anything but small. The crust was a perfect blend of crisp and soft chew just as a pizza should have. The sauce was white«BBQ» which had a flavor of garlic aioli and horseradish… quite yummy… and paired with chicken, cheese and jalapeños it presented quite a culinary symphony! This pizza gives any pizza I have ever had a run for its money. The beer on tap was a nice selection. My son chose an IPA. The name I do not recall. Overall it was a nice experience, the combination of the pool hall/sports bar ambiance with the«bar food» elevated to new heights was a-okay and if it were near my city I would be a frequent guest!

I will not be returning to The Miragex for several reasons but the primary being their business practices. I decide on a saturday night after a VERY long week that I would take my girlfriend for an evening out and a few drinks. We arrived a little after 6, ordered several drinks(top shelf too btw) and a couple appetizers. The male bartender was very friendly, however the woman behind the counter kept giving us the stink eye and acting like we were intruding. After several hours and racking up quite the tab a band began to warm up, and we were told by the female that we would be required to pay the cover charge(for a sub-par cover band we had no interest or intention of seeing) if we intended to stay and order more drinks. Very bad decision, our tip alone alreadt exceeded what the cover would’ve been for the both of us, and instead of staying and racking up a larger tab(which equals a larger tip) and ordering more food, we decided we had enough of feeling like we were unwanted or that our business was unappreciated. I will say the male bartender was very helpful and friendly, and really the only positive in the whole experience. Not only did he provide some delicious drink suggestions but he was also attentive. However the money we spent on that one visit alone, not to mention our several previous visits, to be told our business was only appreciated if we supported(paid for) a shit band when we had no knowledge of… or intention, to see that band made me realize that even in this small a town there are always better options and uses for my money and time off.

Hadn’t been in a while. Took 40 minutes to get food. Waited 30 to inform us there was no rice. Cheese dip was lukewarm. My husband’s grilled chicken was overcooked and under seasoned. The salad was wilted. They have taken a bunch of items off the menu.

Choices were very limited. My steamed broccoli was over seasoned and so was my smothered chicken, wasn’t tender also. They could do better with their«new» menu. It was also warm in there and wasn’t crowded at all. Sign outside said seafood but nothing in the menu. The band that was setting up pissed me off so much because they had NOIDEA what they were doing!!! They made our experience here Horrible! «Mic check! Mic check!» Was all I heard the whole time!!! That was the icing on the cake to never come back! I wouldn’t recommend this as a go to place for families. If you want to drink and have burgers maybe it would suit you but I wouldn’t want to go through another horrible experience like that! On a good note our waitress was really nice though. She was always smiling and very pleasant. The reason to give this 2 stars!

Just a little background, my fiancé and I have went to this restaurant 3 times. We really want to like this place, but tonight was the last chance. First off, we ordered some fried pickles. I ordered the chicken fingers(not a lot of options unless you want a burger) with Mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes. My fiancé got the«breakfast burger» with fries. The fried pickles, ok. They were thinly sliced, not a lot of batter, very greasy. The fried pickles also came with ranch. The ranch was the thickest ranch I have ever seen, and not even that good. My fiancé loved his burger and the fries are delicious! They told him they were out of ranch, and like 5 minutes later the waiter brings him a big thing of ranch, and it’s delicious and thin. I’m guessing someone made some? Now on to my entrée… The chicken fingers were good. The mac and cheese came out cold. My first bite was so unexpectedly cold, I almost spit it out. But I tired a couple more pieces to make sure, all cold. Even my fiancé tried it, and he said it was cold too. So I had to be «that person» and the, I guess manager, brought me a little bowl that was definitely the temperature the Mac and cheese was suppose to be. But while I was waiting on new Mac and cheese, I tried my mashed potatoes. I ordered loaded, but they couldn’t read the waiters writing, so I had to do it myself, not a big deal. I took and bite and almost couldn’t swallow. It was the thinnest mashed potatoes I have ever had, kind of like grits. *The picture is of the mashed potatoes. So I had to be «that person» again and just got some fries the second time around. So they gave us 10% off. If you are coming in from out of town or new to town, please go somewhere else. This place is to attract guys, or at least that’s what I feels like. The décor is awful, the bathroom was dirty, and the menu was so limited. It looks like one of those places that goes on the restaurant/bar makeover show, the before of course. If you’re a guy that wants to chill, play some pool, have some beer, and eat a good burger, then this is the place. Like I said, we have tried it 3 times and each time was a bust.

I like bar food, and I like eating at the counter. So I plopped down on the bar stool, and after 20 minutes of being ignored by the bartender with the X-con, tough-guy tattoos, I plopped out the door.

I enjoyed the adventure. The food(6oz Sirloin and veggies) was very good and reasonably priced. Went out on the patio to smoke and met some party animals from Shreveport. I had a blast! My server brought out my drinks and called me in when my food was ready. The service was awesome. I will definitely visit again, if I get a chance!

The servers were not very service orientated and the menu was limited to fried or overpriced options for the quality, portions or flavor. It is a place in a small city on the interstate which looks like a good place to eat but clearly isn’t. Drive to a DQ

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The fare is pretty standard American bar food, but it’s priced fairly and they have some of the better versions of this sort or food. It’ll be one of my mainstays in an area that is largely wrapped in soul sucking innocence and devoid of devilment or distraction.

Quick service and good chili. The chicken sandwhich was overflavored but cooked well. It was a bit greasy. The atmosphere was very nice with new tables and booths.
