I reviewed in the past and was critical for the lack of consistency. After eating there probably 12 times since, I have to say they have solved this issue and have consistently been very good in all areas. The pizza is very good as is the service and pricing. The most impressive thing is the owner cares about his customers, food quality and the overall experience. If you want pizza, this is your place!

A surprisingly good pizza! I recommend the thin crust. The sausage is particularly good. Delivery has been early or on time. Very good!

Double deal and calzone are great. I would rate higher but feel the quality has gone last 8 years. Hit and miss now, no consistency. Would rather support local shop than chain.

Very nice people but average pizza with a very good service. I have been to New York several times so every pizza is a disappointment after New York.

This isn’t the best pizza I’ve ever had, but it’s better than the big chain stores. And if you live in Argyle it’s closer too. They’re pretty expensive unless you order one of their specials, which aren’t very good. Their pizza specials don’t change, there are only 3 of them, and they’re essentially the same thing. They are only for 2 topping pizzas, so if you want something like a supreme or specialty pizza, you’re paying the full menu price. Which is high. You can either get 2 Large 2 Toppings for 17.99 or 2XL for 19.99. Then there’s a third special which is Mon-Thur from 5−8pm where you can get Large 2 Toppings for 9.99 a piece. Which is good if you want one pizza, but if you were to buy 2 at that price you’d be paying more than the first special. So there’s not a lot of options, but the pizza is really tasty. It’s not thin crust, but the crust is considerably less doughy than most places. And the pizza is super cheesy, which is always a plus. When it comes to pizza, I’d probably rather head into Denton and get some Luigi’s or something, but this is nice for a change of pace or a more convenient option.

Love this place. Was an okay pizza place for the last few years but has really stepped it up in 2015! Sauce is amazing and the crust is truly on point. The addition of quality desserts over the last few months has turned me into a weekly visitor. The new dude running the place deserves a metal for turning this place around. Very happy to have this place so close to home.

They are always so kind and accommodating. Their chicken salad with vinaigrette is incredible as well!

We used to love eating at this place. We would always dine in and the manager was always terrific. Hot, flavorful pizza. I think they are now under new management? I don’t see a lot of same people we used to. Last time we dined in it took 40 minutes to get our order and when it finally arrived at our table it was barely warm. Obviously someone sat it aside and forgot to bring it out. Very light on the toppings and a huge disappointment. We may try the Lewisville one eventually.

Worst service ever. Received a coupon for free pizza in the mail and placed my order over the phone. Went into redeem the pizza only for the guy at the counter to tell me that my coupon had already been used by the same number(it hadn’t) and that I would have to pay full price for the pizza(he couldn’t tell me that over the phone when i placed to order or at least called me back). Then when I tried to pay for the pizza and just get out he refused to let me just pay for the pizza and forced me to listen to him explain. Do not go here. Edit: Contrary to the owners reply, I had never used said coupon before. He told me that my phone number was used but when I asked him to tell me my phone number he refused to. The only reason I paid for the pizza was because it was for someone else.

Hour late and rude service. Emailed owner about problem. Charged tip on pizza never delivered. Fraud. Good pizza, but bad service. Don’t order here.

This is my favorite local pizza shop. I have not been in for a sit down meal, but this is my go-to place for delivery. Each time I call in the person on the other end of the phone is eager to help me out and even recommend something new. One day I was ordering for some buddies as we were watching football and they were out of an appetizer, so he put something together for us that wasn’t technically on the menu but it was great. Delivery can sometimes take a bit, but the pizza is worth it and for a great deal too. Definitely a New York Style pizza place with big slices. Can’t wait for our next pizza night!

Pizza can be good at times and it can be mediocre at times. Delivery drivers always seem to get lost and pizza is warm at best. Ordered with mushrooms and delivered without. Seems like the owner lets the kids run the place and therefore not a lot of oversight. Still, when its good its good but wish it was not a crapshoot for quality.

Had dinner there last night, wings and pizza. Pizza crust was thin, just as I like it, and all the food good. But, staff were the best part. We were welcomed cheerfully and even though I presume it is supposed to be counter service, it felt more like we were being waited on.

When I walked in with my party of 4 it was 9:05PM. As we walked up to the door it said they closed at 9:00PM and my heart sank at the prospect of being stuck with the adjacent Subway. We stuck our heads in and asked«too late?». The employees all said«no, no, come in!». Being from a restaurant family and knowing the hassle of late customers I asked them what was easy to make off the menu and they said«everything.» I ordered a custom pizza and some wings. The wings were flavorful and tender. I prefer a more well-done wing but that’s just personal preference. The pizza was excellent: tender throughout with a thinner crispy crust. Toppings were plentiful and well-cooked. If you’re looking for delicious pizza in Argyle and want some super-helpful employees while you’re there, this is the place

I live really close to this place — delivery takes FOREVER. Crust is premade. no flavor at all. Not many ingredients on top. They have a points program, yet I have ordered here several times yet I still have a zero balance. It is over priced, the crust has no flavor. like eating a stale cracker and really not worth it.

Let me preface this by saying I am from the north east, and I am VERY picky about pizza having worked in a pizza place for over 10 years. My favorite in the area is still Cavalli pizza in Irving if that sets the tone. Problem is it is cold by the time I get home. I must say the kids that were working at Giovannis were great. Went above and beyond for me… they actually offered to bring the pizza out to the car when it was done as I called it in and my daughters were sleeping in the back seat. Sadly, the pizza was just«average». .thats really all I can say. I wouldn’t go back for it unless I was driving by and the kids wanted pizza brought home. The chicken parm sandwich was«ok», but again nothing I would return for. If I am leaving the house from Lantana to pick up pizza it will not be to there as I can get to Grimaldi’s quicker and Mellow Mushroom is on my way home from work. I was really hoping for a better experience as I want a local pizza shop that is worth the business. For now I am stuck making them myself if I don’t feel like ordering from the others I mentioned above.

There is a place in North Carolina called Speedy’s Pizza that makes amazing pizza. Giovanni’s comes in with a «photo finish» for my top pizza joints to eat at. I eat here two or three times a week. The pizza is always excellent. Hot, fast, and delicious. I always order their lunch special: a personal pan pizza(at least that is what they call it, to me it is a medium, as I need to get a to-go box) with two toppings, and your choice of a side salad(best ranch dressing I have ever tasted) or a drink; all only for $ 5.40(tax already added!!!) I have never had any complaints about the staff that work there. In fact, the owner and the folk that work there are very kind, friendly, and helpful. You will not be disappointed.

Since we moved into the local neighborhood more than three years ago, we have enjoyed having such a family-friendly pizza shop less then five minutes away. The range of pizzas, pastas, chicken, and desserts is great and they all taste fantastic. Service is always prompt, courteous, and friendly and we have never had any issues with food or service. We really appreciate the VIP perks and emails, and the discount pizzas for our birthdays and wedding anniversary are greatly appreciated. If and when we leave Country Lakes, it will be hard to find another pizza shop as good as Giovannis.

Service is sporadic at best. Sometimes when you call for pick up, your order is ready and other times you have to wait. The one time that we had it delivered– It took quite a long time. We only live about 4 miles away. Young kids trying hard. Pizza isn’t bad. When finishing my review I noticed, what I would guess to be the manager, eating on the food prep line, as well as he and his associate preparing food with out beard guards… Health code violation?
