Shade Sunless Tanning

I have been getting spray tans consistently for 5+ years and Shade Sunless is hands down the absolute best place I have ever been! The space is gorgeous, clean and upscale and Melissa is warm, genuine and SO knowledgeable. She always has the latest formula and I trust her completely to advise on the perfect shade for whatever the occasion. Oh, and every tan comes out looking so natural and gorgeous!

I went here for my wedding tan and was really pleased. I did a trial several weeks before my wedding (my first spray tan!) to make sure everything was perfect and that I was happy with the look (I was!). Then, the day before my wedding, I came back with my bridesmaids for the real thing.
Each time, the space was welcoming and clean. Free coffee and water available is a nice touch. Melissa walked us through everything – including prep and aftercare – and answered of our questions, making sure we were totally comfortable with the process.
We each did the 2 – 4 hour set time tan, and we looked toasty but natural on the wedding day. We felt so good – thinner, not washed out, etc. Absolutely no streaks, and no orange glow.
I would definitely recommend Shade to others.

Not all spray tans are created equal. This place is the best! Melissa really cares about getting the right shade for you. I highly recommend it!

I am always skeptical of trying new places for a spray tan but after researching and reading reviews I decided to try Shade and I’m glad I did! Not only was it a great experience but every girl at the bachelorette party I attended could not believe that my tan was fake! I highly recommend Shade to anyone in need of a spray tan! Just went to Shade Sunless yesterday as a «trial» spray-​tan for my wedding in July. The salon was well-​decorated and nice. Melissa was great and made me feel at ease, answering all my questions. The look is very natural without looking to «orange-​y» which I like. My only complaint would be go a little darker next time, since the look is almost too natural. Other than that it was a great experience overall. Would recommend over a tanning booth since it’s more natural looking and non-​streaky!

I just went to Melissa for the first time last week before a friends wedding and picked the argan spray tan. The results were amazing ! I was tan but not orange at all and a week later I still am bronze. I definitely plan on going back in the future. Melissa is very professional and I left with a great result.

So, I am a 58 year old woman who has really spent most of her life chasing the perfect tan. Needless to say, at this point, I need to cut back and I have. However, I miss the tan. Tried the self-​tanners, never tried a booth but today, I had my very first air brush spray tan. It is done by appointment so you don’t feel rushed, particularly when it’s your first time. Melissa, who owns the business was incredibly patient with all my questions. I didn’t feel strange with just a bandeau bra and bikini panties on.
She always told me what she was going to do and for how long. In the end, I was really surprised at how nice it looked. It was a great color for me, and I am naturally blond and fair. It doesn’t have a disgusting smell like the others. I find I have a little spark in my step these days. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend doing this — here.

Shade sunless is the perfect place to go when you want the perfect glow! The atmosphere is comfortable so you feel completely relaxed while being sprayed! You always leave looking great, the color always perfectly matches to your skin tone so the tan always looks natural!

To start: I’ve been to Shade about 12 times. I’m a philly transplant originally from Southern California. I love my spray tans, but they have to be a great one! I have been to multiple places in the Philadelphia area and no one does as good of a job as Shade Sunless! In December, I can plan on being in a bikini with a perfect glow! Shade does a wonderful job at matching up solutions with your skin tone and the rapid tan is super awesome when you have an emergency event to go to and need a tan QUICK!

Such a cute little place that provides amazing spray tans! Works with you to find just the right tone for your skin type and explains everything to maintain your spray tan and have it look amazing… so happy that I got this done for a wedding I am in– may even make it a regular habit! :)

If you’re looking for a flawless spray tan this is the place to get it! While the prices may be a little higher than other salons in the area, it is more than worth it. Melissa is always warm and welcoming and makes you feel at ease. My past two spray tans have been great, very even color and just the right amount of bronze. Melissa really listens to what you are looking for and delivers! Also, I stopped in for a teeth whitening session and was blown away by the difference it made in just a short 15 minute session. Only downside may be the parking, but there is a lot across the street that has free parking after 6pm.

Came here to try out the spray tan, had never done it before and was a little worried having never had a spray tan before. Everything turned out great, the tan looked awesome and super real! Ended up doing the teeth whitening too since I was there and I can’t even describe to you the difference in color shades on my teeth! Looked in the mirror and was blown away at the difference!
All in all a great one stop shop and the owner Melissa made me feel super comfortable while getting spray tanned she was very friendly and helpful with a newbie like me!

I was surprised by how comfortable I felt and how detail oriented Melissa was while spraying me. She covered areas I didn’t think of and was sure to prevent streaking throughout the process. I’ve been a client of Melissa’s for a while now and I’m so happy that she has opened Shade! Not only is it beautiful and comfortable inside but it’s close to my office :) Melissa’s work is always perfect! It always looks natural and she really listens to what you want. I’ve raved about it so much, my sister drove over an hour in order to have Missy give her a tan for her senior prom. I always get compliments when I get sprayed by Melissa. I decided to make an appointment with Shade for my engagement photo shoot. Being new to airbrush tanning I was a little concerned about my hands being orange or blotchy, and the color in general, however Melissa took extra time to explain the process which put my mind at ease. She even did special prep on my hands which prevented the issues I was concerned about ! The tan looked very natural and I had a bronzed glow which was exactly what I wanted. As a 90 210 fan, I loved that the different airbrush options are named after 90 210 characters. This time I went with the Kelly Taylor, nex time I’m definitely going to try the Valerie Malone. I highly recommend — especially for any brides out there looking for a nice natural glow!

Shade Sunless is a life-​saver for me! As a sun worshiper and lover of being tan, it was tough to hit my 30s and realize it’s best for my health and looks to avoid the sun and tanning booths. I had thought in the past about spray tanning being an option but had seen other people get them and look unnatural. However, I wanted to give it a try so I went to Shade Sunless to get spray tanned by Melissa. I couldn’t have been more thrilled with the results! The tan looked so natural, exactly like I spent a week on the beach in July! It was the perfect color for my complexion, no streaks or blotchiness at all, and it lasted so much longer than I ever expected.
Another thing that really impressed me was that everything Melissa uses is all-​natural, which meant I could even get spray tanned during my pregnancy with no worries. Since pregnancy is a time when you’re not always feeling or looking your best, it was such a boost to be able to get that healthy, tan glow!
