The lodge is a beautiful getaway spot, we really enjoyed relaxing in the decks overlooking the gardens. It has a cozy mountain feel. Our room was nice and breakfasts were deliciously prepared by our gracious hosts Jodee and Doug. We would definitely return.

My husband and I needed a place to stay just for the night and we happened to drive by this gem of a place. We’re so glad they had availability! It was both of our first experience with a bed and breakfast and I must say it was great. From playing pool in the common room to taking a morning stroll through the gardens, this place was fun, relaxing, and so very beautiful! The owners were an absolute delight to be around and the breakfast they fixed was incredible! We will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful place to stay. The owners put a lot of care into everything. The breakfast was gourmet, but is only served between 8:30 and 9:00. They are happy to give you snacks, fruit, cookies, and things like that at other times. What was most difficult for me was hearing everything that was going on downstairs and in the room next door when I was in my room. I would happily sacrifice the soundproofing again though if I ever visit Asheville.

Great place! I love the trails surrounding the lodge and Asheville is an awesome town to visit. Good breakfast, cookies every afternoon. Only downside is there is not Wifi or TVs in the room. BUT it is a great way to unplug from the world

My fiancé and I had a lovely impromptu stay at this cute bed & breakfast over the 3rd and 4th of July this year. We had planned to camp at nearby Lake Powhatan State Park, but it had been pouring rain for several days(so much that our campsite had 4 inches of standing water when we got there!). We searched for somewhere to stay nearby, so that we could make the most of our trip, and we happened upon Bent Creek Lodge. They happened to have one room available for two nights, which is just what we wanted, and we asked for a 10% discount(which they gave us!) because we arrived pretty late in the day, and they were unlikely to fill the room otherwise. The owners were so nice and friendly; they provided us with all the information about the area we needed, including restaurant recommendations. Despite the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here. The main floor is a huge room with the kitchen and breakfast tables on one end, and a large fireplace, bookshelf and comfy couches and chairs on the other. A large front porch had rocking chairs, and the back deck had several adirondack chairs and patio tables(which we would have used if the weather hadn’t been so bad). They had a great selection of books and board games, which is how we spent our rainy downtime. Our room(the«Bird Room») was well appointed with an updated bathroom and a comfy queen-size bed. The 8 or 10 guest rooms all had back doors out onto a common balcony, which overlooked the back of the property and allowed for some serious bird-watching, as they had feeders scattered around the back garden. Lovely! Breakfast was delicious both mornings — eggs, sausage and biscuits one morning, and whole wheat waffles and granola the next, with fruit on the side. Their coffee was great, and their biscuits and homemade granola were heavenly. We had a great experience overall, and would highly recommend this cute little lodge if you’re looking for a peaceful spot in the Asheville area.

What a hidden gem. The peaceful garden, serene porch atmosphere, upscale rustic rooms, fabulous breakfasts, kind proprietors and short distance from downtown Asheville equals a perfect vacation getaway. go to Grove Park for drinks and lunch but escape the bustling town and stay here for the evening: you will not regret it.

This was a quite cute little BnB we stayed at. The staff was really nice and catered to our needs. The rooms were tidy and full of charm. Vegan/vegetarian breakfast was served each morning. Unfortunately, the serving time is only a 30 min window. As for the price, it is comparable to the amenities. We had one problem though. Our sheets were 100% polyester. This meant that every time you moved in bed, a static electricity cloud was in effect all around you. There is also a cabin that mis managed by the BCL folks. It too was quite impressive and quaint.
