I just ate their rib and tip plate at the Furniture Fest at the Bayside Grange. It rocked! The juicy ribs were my favorite. My husband loved the crispy flavorful parts on the tips. so no wrong could be found! The sauce has that sweet and tangy vinegar thing going on with lots of whole dried herbs, like mustard seeds and cumin, that pop in your mouth. I’m drooling right now just remembering. It came it a little side of plain potato salad. Which was nice and creamy and had a good cooling effect at the end of the meal. It also came with baked beans which had a kick to them. I was so in love with the sauce and was tempted to lick my plate. I couldn’t let that sauce go to the trash bin so I spooned the leftover sauce into my beans just so it wouldn’t be wasted. Heaven! I asked where the next place they would be serving was and they will be at Oyster Festival in Arcata next weekend! I’m not big on oysters so I pushed my luck and asked if try would be serving anything else. They all chimed in saying ‘we don’t do oysters’ which was super cute to me. They will be making pulled pork sliders! And I am so there! It is honestly some of the best food I have had since I moved back up to Humboldt or probably ever. I would rather eat that BBQ and be served by smiling people, then go back to my old job at the Ritz Carlton and be served a ‘5 star’ meal. Truly. Job well done! I hope the owners read this because I would give them more stars if it was possible. And I hope my fellow Unilocalers read this and we can start a club that follows these talented BBQers around in true tailgater fashion!
