Terra-Fried Chicken

Great service, the staff was awesome. Attentive and friendly. Fried chicken was great. Not over battered and had home made taste. Side were tasty too. Biscuit was homemade too. Will come back again!

Definitely enjoyed this place. It has a country, down home feel. They cooked the chicken livers exactly how my dad wanted and we both enjoyed the meal (especially the price). I just wish we had saved room for pie!

Found this local place thanks to Unilocal!Was in a solo girl camping trip and wanted to try something different. Walking into this place, there’s not much to it; couple tables and chairs, nothing fancy. The staff is super friendly, helpful in making my choice in what I should have.
Went with the chicken and biscuit. Open faced biscuit with fried shrike and sausage gravy. It was truly a meal from heaven. I didn’t leave not one bit. Will be traveling back up this coming weekend, so my boys could try it.
A must go-​to if you’re in that area

OMG, The Collard Greens w/​Homemade (real ones) would have been the whole lunch. However the Golden Fried Chicken was the best! Tasty, Crispy and huge pieces. That is one breast on the picture. Can’t be beat! Great Southern Fried Chicken w/​all the fixins. They have a whole chalk board desert, but we had no room for one more bite. Do yourself a favor, if you are in the area, stop and eat.

Not nearly as good as I’d hoped.
I asked the waitress what she thought was the best and she suggested the Swai fish. I’d never heard of it but it was delicious. I was very glad that I ordered it but the sides were mediocre and the biscuit was chewy. If I could have had a double order of the entrée and skipped the sides I would have enjoyed my meal much more.
But the thing that I’ll remember most about this visit was one of the customers. A cute 20 something girl was complaining about her roommates and her boyfriend and her family and she kept talking… and talking… and talking and in my head I’m begging this girl to please shut up and stop befouling my meal. But immaturity and stupidity flowed out of this girl like a fountain and after a minute I stopped begging and I started to smile. Because I realized that the girl that I was going home to, was light years from this gal. Wisdom and kindness and tenderness are what come out of my wife’s mouth and I was reminded how fantastically blessed a man I am. So to that girl, I want to say «Thank you». You reminded me about how grateful I ought to be and you made my homecoming just a little bit sweeter!

Amazing chicken!!! Locals pouring in every few min. Waitress was awesome. This place is great for picky eaters. Great sweet tea and they offered to give me more to go. Not fancy and was cheep.

We decided to eat here based on a Unilocal review. We were driving from Orlando to SW Florida. We first followed the GPS and ended up at a location out of town that was closed up completely. Apparently there had been2 locations at one point. We returned to the location that was just south of Arcadia in a little strip mall on highway 17. The chicken was very good. The sides were quite southern. The price was even better than reasonable. The mashed potatoes and gravy were disAppointing… instant potatoes, canned gravy. How much better to have had real potatoes and cream gravy. None the less it was worth the stop.

Stopped by with fam to get some local chow. WOW! WOW! WOW!
We had it all. Blueberry pancakes, with blueberries picked locally. Probably THEE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I, OR MY WIFE, HAVE EVER, EVER, EVER had. Great buffalo chix salad, great deep-​fried chix livers, and home-​made sweet tea. If you don’t stop at this place traveling from the Orlando area to SW Florida, you have only yourself to blame.
My kids want me to DRIVE BACK to Arcadia, (we are in Orlando now) JUST to get a bucket of chicken, if it wasn’t raining, I might!
Funniest part of the whole dining experience was when my 14 year old son went to use the bathroom, and came back to ask, «Should I use the door marked ‘Hens’ or ‘Rooster’??? Still laughing about that one…

OK, I like wings … no, scratch that… I love wings. I have had wings from every wing place in Arcadia, and up until now my favorite 2 places were Dominos and Beef-​O-​Bradys … Now I have a new favorite place. Terra-​Fried Chicken … They were outstanding … cooked perfectly, lots of meat and delicious.
