Taza definitely has a hipstery, but cute vibe to it. with all the dark wood décor, faded paint on classic typewriters, multi-kilo sized coffee bean burlap sacks… It’s sandwiched between a donut shop and an oil change spot on a relatively unassuming block, and the patrons here seem to like sticking around for a while to chill or study. Seating is limited both inside and out on the little mini patio(cool mural though!). Service here is sweet and fast. If I get a chance to come back here I’d definitely have to go for one of their toast/liege waffle/ice cream creations. As it was, my friend and I only had time for a quick cup of caffeine. I got a chai latte and she opted for an espresso. Chai was very mild on the spices and the unadulterated foam on top was lovely– the only fragrance was that of pure fresh milk. I was surprised to see her espresso shot come with a small cup of sparkling water. I’m told that it was supposedly for cleansing the palate before the shot(assuming that one would like to take care to properly enjoy the nuances of the espresso as much as possible)…or alternatively,(should the expresso not be up to your personal snuff) to wash down/away the aftertaste of the shot. I’m not sure how accurate this is, but still interesting, no? lol

This review is from 3 weeks ago and is for the donuts and cold brew, both excellent. Just come back from Portland and had amazing donuts and looking for similar specialty vibe, found it… only bummer, she was almost out and said she does usually sell out and only on weekends, would love to know if she’s really moving across the street at dealership or will have both places.

Taza is a cool little coffee house nestled on a busy street between a Jiffy Lube and a donut shop. You would think that both of these neighbors would drum-up business for them: one as a complementary«something to do while I wait for my oil change,» and one as a competitor, when you don’t want coffee that’s been slow-cooking since dawn and a bag of something with pink sprinkles. Taza makes a good cup of joe, and the usual fare of lattes, soy-based stuff bovine-haters, and a pretty solid mocha. The place has the usual stressed-wood furniture, and poor lighting that make a coffee house… a coffee house. I’m sure there’s a table with a chess board on it, and a pile of LA Weekly somewhere around here. Honestly, I’m not currently working on a screenplay, or experiencing some kind of Millenial self-loathing angst, so I don’t really hang out at places like this. I do, however, appreciate a good cup of coffee – sometimes with an added shot – so while I don’t actively seek this place out, I will always stop in and service my caffeine system when convenient. One gripe: this place is open 8 to 5(although for whatever reason, they always seem to be closed for some reason or another when I stop by). 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. … what, is this a tax accountant’s office, or a coffee shop? Some people like to be social after the sun goes down, but then, maybe the owners and high-school aged baristas turn into pumpkins after dark or something.

Taza is nice little cozy place in Arcadia. I’ve been there a couple times for coffee. The coffee is good! Very flavorful as it’s perfectly brewed. I’ve also tried their donuts and breakfast burrito. Their donuts are hipster fancy! I had the Hibiscus one… with an actual tiny hibiscus on top. Very enjoyable! However I was disappointed about their breakfast burrito proportion. It was good though, but I thought it was a whole burrito. But instead, it’s only a half a burrito for around $ 5, and they’ll charge you extra for salsa and/or guacamole. So when you do the math, it’s one hella expensive breakfast burrito. My friend bought one too before I showed up. He originally thought that they cut it in half for a reason… which is so he can enjoy it more and eat the other half later. He got Punk’d! LOL. In conclusion, my opinion is that this place is good… but a bit too expensive and not really worthwhile to come, unless you want to experience a nice hipster coffee joint. They do serve quality stuff, and it’s more of a boutique. I’m a casual guy and much rather have Starbucks, Coffee Bean, or my neighborhood 7 – 11. Also, they should not sell or serve half burritos in addition to charging extra for the sauces. As a business guy like myself, and rather not go that route, or do it right by selling it as a whole at a set price regardless with all the condiments included. No offense on my two stars please. Just being real. You guys are great with a lot of potential. I will check in again soon.

Quiet ambience, bomb coffee, and dessert with fosselman’s ice cream = I’m a fan! +Limited but both indoor and outdoor seatings available.(Indoor: 4 counter seats, 5 tables for 2 people, 1 long bench that’ll sit max 4 people, and 3 small chairs and 2 small bench. Outdoor: 1 long bench that’ll seat about 6 people and the bench has a roof over so you won’t be sizzling under the sun.) +Wifi available and the ambience is super quiet and calm so it’s a perfect hangout spot for students who need a place to study. +Honestly their vanilla waffle was a-okay but it goes so well with Fosselman’s ice cream! I ordered the waffle with fosselman’s nutella ice cream but it wasn’t overly sweet or chocolatey and it was SO good. Wish the waffle was better quality and fresher but if it’s served with fosselman’s ice cream, i’d probably order it again. +Their iced matcha latte was SO good! It wasn’t overly sweet and had right amount of milk to make it perfectly creamy. Some places uses matcha to the point where it’s overkill but Taza used mild amount so it was perfect! Definitely would order it again. +My boyfriend also used Arcadia, which was also good. His coffee also wasn’t overly creamy and not sweet at all. He said he hasn’t tried any other coffee like it and that he enjoyed it thoroughly. +Parking space available but shared with young dong restaurant and monarch donuts. +Apparently they serve donut snob donuts here! I’d like to check that out or their infamous kimchi spam croissant. –Taza has a waffle maker but don’t be fooled, the waffles aren’t homemade or at least it’s not made to order. My boyfriend pointed out that the workers were warming up the pre-made waffles with the waffle machine. This could possibly mean that they make all of their homemade waffles in the morning to load up so all they need to do is just heat it later when it’s ordered but it took a while to serve it anyway so might as well make the waffles made to order if it is homemade. Not to mention their vanilla waffle was just a-okay anyway. –I think Taza is a perfect place for studying but honestly it’s not a good place to hangout with your friends. It’s immensely quiet in Taza so you don’t want to be loud and bother other patrons. Just to clarify, NOONE rushed us by any means but my boyfriend and I hurried out of there since we felt like we were disrupting others. Wouldn’t recommend here if you’re grabbing a cup of joe to catch with your friend. –Small parking space lot available but shared with young dong restaurant and monarch donuts so it’s a bit of a difficult parking if the lot is pretty crowded. Probably wouldn’t dine here again but will be back to check out other items and will probably do to go!

This is probably one of my favorite coffee houses in Arcadia. You can come here and get something quick to go or you can hang out here. There are a few tables and chairs and one big communal bench. It is pretty hipster here and they are such coffee connoisseurs here. When in doubt, you can always ask for suggestions. They also serve fosselmans ice cream and donuts made by a lady in moor park. Apparently the donut maker only sells her donuts through small coffee shops and she doesn’t have a brick and mortar. I got the matcha green tea latte with syrup and it was soooo matcha-y. I loved it! P got the iced coffee latte and he really enjoyed it. It was pretty strong. My friend E got the cold brew. I’m not really a fan of it but E really enjoyed it. It was pretty sour if you don’t add sugar but that’s how he liked it. For donuts, we got the blueberry earl grey donut and passion fruit raspberry donut. They heated it up for us. They were both sooo good.

This is a fine coffee shop. Nothing memorable. I got an americano, wifey got a chai tea latte. Americano was good, espresso was smooth. Chai tea latte was watery and not very pleasant. Their food selection is very limited.

Taza is a neat place for a cup of coffee of tea. It’s definitely hipster inside and there isn’t a ton of seating where you’d be comfortable to stay for a long time. I’ve come a handful of times and the coffee and tea brews, but I didn’t really find anything that I loved. The last time I came I tried their plum oolong tea(hot) and really enjoyed it! The It looks like they started offering breakfast food and some pastries. I would have tried a pastry if I hadn’t purchased some croissants from the donut shop beforehand.

This is a quaint little coffee house that I Unilocaled to pass the time. It’s very well decorated, with beautiful wood tables that hipsters would go crazy for as a backdrop for their IG photos. They played a young selection of eclectic music ranging from Kendrick to Odesza, which I didn’t mind at all. As for the product, I ordered an iced black tea for $ 4. A little much for brewed iced tea, but they have a great selection of teas, and coffee of course, if I drank that stuff. Service was very nice and timely. This is a great place for meeting up with friends or studying. They also have a sufficient menu of food items to snack on. Parking’s in the rear. Quite a pleasant find!

Taza was recommended to me by a friend when I was in the area and needed a place to just sit and chill with my laptop and get some work done for a couple hours. According to her, this place is generally pretty quiet, but I happened to come in on a Friday afternoon when groups of friends were hanging out and chatting, so it was a little louder and didn’t make for a great work environment. However, as it got later, the majority of people there left, and so it quieted down and was a little more comfortable. The coffee here is good! I got a cappuccino, my go-to drink, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. They also had a selection of really cool donuts, but I wasn’t in the mood for anything too sugary so I skipped on that. Otherwise, I’m sure I would have really enjoyed one along with my coffee. Beyond that, they do have several food options, so there’s definitely something for everyone here. The location is kind of random; I don’t know the area too well, but it doesn’t seem like a place where a trendy coffee shop like Taza would be. But regardless, the atmosphere here is really cool! The interior and décor is really fun and unique, and there’s a picnic table right outside too if you want some fresh air. All around, this is a solid spot if you’re looking for some good coffee and a place to chill.

A great spot to study for hours on end with a nice cup of tea/coffee! It’s not the largest space, but if you come earlier in the day(right around noon or before), you’re guaranteed a nice study spot, equipped with wifi, large tables, and outlets. They also don’t have the most expansive drink menu, especially if you’re not a caffeine person. But again, this is a coffee house… I don’t know much about coffee but I was more than pleasantly satisfied with my tea. I ordered a tango tea(tangerine and mango) and it was a bit on the pricier end($ 4+ for a 16 oz plastic cup) but it was a perfect accompaniment to my studies. The employees are all super friendly and helpful. You won’t find coffee barista snobs over here. Make sure to ask for a stamp card! You’ll find this your regular study spot.

Location is impeccably convenient and the quality is rigorously consistent. I am constantly drawn back every time I want a quality cup of coffee on par with expectations. My ONLY constructive-critique is for the barista to warm up my mug before pouring my coffee. There should never be a reason why a new fresh cup of black coffee shouldn’t be piping hot.

One word to describe Taza: TINY. I mean, I knew that it was going to be tiny but it was much tinier than I expected it would be. There is a small parking lot in the back, can maybe fit six cars, I think? The drinks are not bad. I got the tea and the price was alright, along the same lines as other coffee places in the place. If you don’t come here early enough, all the seats near the power outlets are pretty much full. I liked the quiet atmosphere of Taza but it closed earlier than other places, I feel. It’s nice for a quiet afternoon but probably not good for a night time thing.

I actually really like it here, the location is right next to jiffy lube, parking entrance and parking lot is a little tight, and also the hours are alot earlier than most coffee spots. Despite that, the coffee here is legitament, and the quality here is high. They have donuts here from the donut snob and not from the shop next door. They used to serve blue bottle beans but they always have a variety for you to choose from and explains the different nodes of taste for you. Very specific coffee and perfect place to buy beans or a bundle. The affogato here is pretty pricey but I’m glad i got to try it here. ITWASDELICIOUS. its a spin from a regular affogato and added their own waffle. It kind of made a difference and it was devoured in no time. I believe it was around 7 dollars though. But it is filling and it will get you wired.

Got the iced peach green tea and it was SOOGOOD!!! So pleasantly surprised :’) Not a bad study spot, BUT be careful of where you pick your seat! I came in the late afternoon and the sun was shining directly on the majority of the space inside. Also, there’s not that much seating! Nevertheless, I wouldn’t mind coming back for the yummy tea if I’m ever in the area.

A bit overpriced, they charged $.50 for any flavored latte bringing my REGULAR latte to $ 5.25. Expensive and not entirely worth it… The caramel latte only had caramel sauce which didn’t blend at all with the milk and subsequently settled on the bottom, not sweetening the latte at all. I should have just gotten regular. Not impressed. Small parking lot in the back.

I can’t believe I didn’t see this gem in Arcadia! Been here for 6 years and I completely overlooked it! Went a little crazy ordering for my first time here. Thank goodness I went jogging that morning! They have a great menu and I wanted to try everything! I had the delicious cinnamon waffle with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream. I also got a smore’s doughnut because I couldn’t resist and I wrapped it up with a Arcadia coffee made with condensed milk. I absolutely loved everything I got next to the vintage/modern/industrial look the shop has!

I had some time to kill before work this morning and decided to try this coffee shop, which is minutes away from work. It’s located close to the freeway on Huntington Drive, nearest cross street is Santa Anita Ave. I heard besides offering delicious coffees, they also served donuts from Donut Snob. Unfortunately, I got here too early and donuts hadn’t arrived yet. I checked out a few other bites they offered on display, but none looked to appealing. The liege waffles on-hand weren’t freshly made and brick toast didn’t put me in the mood either. I didn’t want to leave on sour note and made the best of it by ordering a latte. At least they were quick with my order. Presentation was quite lovely and artistic. Enjoyed sipping my refreshing coffee. Though the place was lacking in treats, the atmosphere was quite nice and cozy. A huge communal table and handful of seats were offered, including free wifi. Took a great pic with my phone, check it out. Got a lot of things done before work and had very pleasant experience. Definitely will try to come little bit later next time and hopefully donuts will be available.

I went on a coffee date here last weekend with a girlfriend who was visiting from out of town. We heard that they had amazing waffles and donuts. Funny enough we ended up just sticking to coffee. I ordered a hazelnut latte, which was gorgeous and equally delicious. In fact, I enjoyed my beverage so much that I went back the next day and got another latte! It’s undeniably a small coffee house, but it still has the perfect ambiance to catch up with an old friend. Their prices are reasonable(comparable to Starbucks) and the staff is friendly. I would definitely recommend this little gem! Oh and if you’re wondering about parking, there is a little lot behind Taza. If you drive an SUV, the driveway is a bit of a squeeze, but there are always a few free spots so you can stop and get your fancy latte fix!

Great service, neat interior, and delicious coffee. They offer incredible belgian waffles plan or a la mode with Fosselman’s ice cream. My son’s favorite it the waffle topped with some Nutella ice cream. On Friday and Saturday mornings they have a selection of the most amazing decadent donuts I’ve ever encountered! Get there early as the donuts go fast.

Cozy little place with wi-fi on the corner of Huntington and Santa Anita. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so I can’t really comment on that. I just like my coffee super sweet and milky or I can’t drink it. They have a nice tea selection. I enjoy my herbal and green teas a lot more. What they did have that I really enjoyed was the Belgian Liege waffle. It’s more dense and chewy than a regular waffle using pearl sugar that should caramelize on the outside. I really liked it! A scoop of chocolate covered strawberry ice cream on top with a chilled glass of herbal tea on a hot summer day, and I was in heaven. They also carry gourmet donuts and whole wheat pretzel croissants which I also liked and I don’t even like croissants. But this was when I could have wheat. Just went in the other day and the Fosselman’s ice cream was the only wheat free treat for me to try. But, YOU should come try the leige waffle and give a non-chain coffee place some business.

I was off on a random week day so i decided to come check this place out and take it off my bookmark list. I came here around 10ish but most of their pastries are already out. I did bot have a lot of options. Must have been a very busy morning. I finally settled on a vanilla iced coffee and a cinnamon waffle since the vanilla option is not available. I sat down at one of their cute tables to enjoy my drink and waffle. the latte tasted watered down. The cinnamon waffle was okay. Had high hopes for this place but this visit did not quite meet my expectations. Maybe i came on an off day. I will probably give this place another shot if I am in the area. Coffee shops do deserve second chances. Found parking easily on the street.

Taza is definitely my favorite coffee shop in Arcadia. Their homemade pastries are always delicious(especially when they’re straight out of their oven), the coffee is good and it always has good vibes. They brew different beans from local and respectable LA roasters so I would say it’s good coffee. My favorites are the Arcadia drink and their matcha green tea latte! One of the best things about Taza is that they sell Donut Snob on Mondays and Fridays! Although it’s a little competitive at times to get the flavor you want, I love coming here to get my favorite donut snob. Their small parking lot in the back makes parking really convenient. I also think it’s a great place to study — they play relatively mellow music so it’s always a relaxed atmosphere, they have great wifi, good lighting(perfect for the ‘grams) and I LOVE when they have little vases of fresh flowers. Everyone is really friendly and I just love coming to Taza. It may be a little pricey but I think it’s worthy.

Stopped by this lil coffee joint in need of caffeine after a good work out. Loose Teas didnt open until 11am, and the heat was getting to me. Located on Huntington Drive next to Yong Dong Tofu House, a donut joint, and across from Santa Anita Park. I stopped by for a Hibiscus Cooler($ 4) and Campfire Smores Donut($ 2). Total cost was $ 8. Pricey. The Hibiscus Cooler was a nice drink, slightly sweetened. It did it’s job with cooling me down on a hot day, but tasted kind of weak and watered down. I dig the red color, but the price for this drink wasn’t worth it. The Campfire Smores Donut did the job. It was tasty and sweet and tasted like eating a smores. This donut was worth the $ 2. The décor was cool — very hipster vibe. Had a couple of small tables and a giant communal table. Service was nice and friendly. It was a nice place to try, but I like Loose Tea more.

Yay! I’m a fan. Ambiance: Granted it’s a little small, so if it’s crowded… this might be difficult. But it’s a small, quiet shop with free wifi. Aka it’s the perfect place to get work done. Coffee: They serve blue bottle coffee so automatically the coffee is great. I had the cold brew which is strong but not too harsh. Cinnamon Waffle: DELICIOUS! They have two flavors to choose from but I’ve heard the most about cinnamon. I saw a lot of reviews on this and decided to give it a try and it was SOOOOGOOOD!!! It’s crispy on the outside, yet soft on the inside. It has the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor and topped with some powdered sugar. A definite MUSTTRY!!! I’ll definitely be back to get work done and for the cinnamon waffle!

I finally was able to visit Taza a few weeks back with my sister. After seeing numerous photos of their coffee art, we finally were able to try it out for ourselves. And … while I think it’s good, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get another cup. The storefront is located on Huntington Drive across from the Santa Anita park. There’s a small parking lot behind the store, but it can be easy to miss the driveway if you’re driving by too quickly. The store prominently displays its name, along with some wall art next to the outdoor seating area. I feel like the decorations inside of the store are very cute and artsy, definitely giving off a timeless antique theme. There are random flowers and plants on tables, which also add to the design. While Taza serves select goodies from different stores(donuts from Donut Snob, macarons, etc), they also have liege waffles and affogatos for sale. My sister decided to skip on the waffle and order a drink instead, which turned out to be a mistake. I tried the Arcadia, which I thought tasted decent. I’m not too knowledgeable about coffee, but I do know Taza serves legit coffee. It tasted good(not too strong) and had pretty coffee art, so I was satisfied! But my sister ordered a latte and added caramel syrup to it. I think she asked the worker if it would be okay, and feeling reassured, she ordered it expecting it to taste kind of sweet. It was actually really bitter and did not taste like caramel at all. Overall, a pretty nice study place if you’re looking for someplace quiet. Or a good place to go on a date or catch up with a friend. I feel like ordering drinks off of their menu or knowing what you like would be better than improvising and ordering something off the top of your head, especially if you’re not too crazy about coffee in the first place.

Came here because the Unilocal reviews were good and it’s close to the hotel I was at. Glad I did. The coffee was good and the service was friendly. I was bummed they didn’t have a donut(didn’t consider the shop next door) but I was sold on their homemade cookies. I ordered and worked in a corner on reports for work. In all, I probably spent two hours here. The folks working are friendly and thoughtful. The cookie I had was FANTASTIC. On my next trip, I’m coming back.

A little coffee shop located on the corner of Huntington and Santa Anita(also next to Young Dong Garden). I love the wooden tables(communal and single) the big COFFEE sign that looks an awful lot like the Starbucks font… and the light fixtures and bright flowers everywhere. They also have an American Gothic-inspired mural outside which is a great photo op. It’s a very welcoming, chill, hipster environment– perfect for sipping on a latte and getting some work done or just having conversation. I went with a classic iced latte and my friend got their Arcadia coffee which is basically a latte with condensed milk– both came out to $ 9 even. Solid coffee and looks like they have a lot of unique pastries too like the kimchi spam croissant– if it’s just like Stumptown Coffee’s then I’m all for it. They also have a selection of waffles and donuts, too, which are always a good idea with coffee. Tips/FYI’s: — INSTAWORTHY! — Parking may be an issue, but there’s limited street parking in front and apparently there’s a small lot in the back.

Wait a minute … I love coffee, especially from here and just noticed I didn’t even review Taza yet. What gives? Perhaps I need more caffeine. First, Taza is a small cozy coffee shop on Huntington Drive in Arcadia, directly across the street from the park. The are big red letters that spell out Taza on the oustide so you really can’t miss it, and if you do … you’re driving too fast. Inside, there are a few smaller tables and one large communal table that can seat about 8ish. Antique typewriters and cameras are on display, giving it a nostalgic timeless feel to the ambience. This is how I’m trying to decorate my home office. Taza, a Spanish word meaning cup or bowl, offers a small, uncomplicated menu of caffeinated drinks. There’s «just coffee», which is already brewed and stored in an urn. The pourovers allows you to choose from a few selections, and there are also Americanos„ Lattes, Cappucinos… etc. But you won’t find fake coffee drinks often served at those cute little Asian cafes that’s littered across the SGV(San Gabiel Valley for the out-of-towners) On my most recent visit, we ordered the Just Coffee(Colombian), a Cappucino and an Americano. Colombian just isn’t my thing, never liked it much, so that was for someone else. The Americano(served long = more water, for less potentcy) was extremely smooth w/a slightly sweet ending. The cap was also smooth and creamy. Both were perfectly made by the barista. Sure it’s easy to find coffee shops/cafes nearby to grab a cup of caffeine for less $, but for those who can sit and appreciate a good cup of coffee, Taza is the place to visit. The owner is very knowledgeable, the staff are well trained and their caffeinated drinks never disappoint. Notes: * Parking is available on the street right in front of Taza, or there;s a lot behind it. * On certain days of the week(M, W &F I believe) they offer gourmet donuts from Donut Snob. These are really good but sells out by mid-day * Try their leige waffles! * Try their coffee w/o cream & sugar to really taste the quality.
