I love honey boba ‘s drinks, I love the chocolate almond milk tea. I am tired of people giving this place bad reviews because they stopped giving free drinks, it’s something that they offered and it’s their right to take it away for whatever reason. They are not obligated to give you free drinks so quit all your whining and threats of losing customers, good less lines for me. :)

I used to really like this place, but after last nights experience I don’t think I’ll be coming here again. I came with my cousin and brother for a drink and we have been earning stamps on our cards, something this location was offering. My cousin had gotten enough stamps to earn a free drink and I was only one away, and the girl at the register said they discontinued those. It was annoying because we purposely came often to to this location to earn a free drink and out of nowhere they discontinue them? On top of that the cashier was rude and had attitude and didn’t even care for our business. If she was nice we would have been like okay fine lets get a drink since we came here, but her attitude and their random sudden discontinuation of the card stamp, which other boba places still offer btw, caused us to leave. They lost 3 paying customers just like that last night and we know lots of people who come here that will no longer be coming here once I tell them about the stamp card and their lack of customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on to other boba places that don’t have bratty cashiers and shit customer service.

I normally really like this place. Only things to note are the weird placement of where you order the drinks and where you pick up the drinks. Picking up requires you to walk further into the store, away from the entrance. It’s such a narrow space that when it gets busy, you’re stuck in a traffic jam trying to get back out. It was fairly empty when I came in for a drink and I left immediately after. It’s when I got home and half way through my drink that I ended up sucking through the straw, a piece of plastic. Really? That’s never happened before but it just makes me not want to come back anymore. I’m sure it’s a one off but still.

Tina Vu makes the best drinks I’ve ever tasted in my entire 12 years on this earth. Shawty cute too, deserves a raise. Anyway, my drink was so good it was as if it was blessed by God himself and I felt myself almost making an ascent to heaven. I LOVEHONEYBOBA10⁄10!!!

I’m new to the area and have wanted to try Honey Boba out for some time now. When a friend was visiting, recently we stopped by. My friend got a frosted honey Boba milk tea. He enjoyed it and really liked that the tapioca was slightly sweet. I got the Mountain Oolong milk tea. It was good. It does have a strong smoky taste, so beware. There is a huge list of drink offerings, so no matter who you are, something will fit your taste preferences!

I went to Honey Boba many times back in 2013 because it was close to when I worked. I always enjoyed their Honey Boba milk tea and their Taro milk tea. Around 2 and a half years later, I decided to stop by(January 2016) with my completed stamp card. Not only did they pump out a satisfactory drink, but they also honored the stamp card. I wasn’t sure if they were still going to accept it, but they did. I’m not sure if they are still going to continue with the stamp cards, but they still have my business; that’s for sure!

I never liked Honey Boba, but I gave them another shot. This time I have new reasons to dislike them. They NOLONGEROFFERSTAMPCARDS. The reason is listed on their cash register. It says«Due to california minimum wage increase» — so because you are being asked to pay someone a somewhat more sustainable and livable wage you are removing a reward program which sole purpose was to drive revenue?! The owners are clearly cheap and that to me is disgusting. You should want to pay your employees a living wage. I got some mango green tea. The tea was good, not bad at all, but the boba was unevenly cooked, some very hard pieces and some soft. Id have drank the tea again, if the owners weren’t cheap people who treat their employees so poorly that none of them made the equivalent of minimum wage in the first place. It only increased 1 $ per hour, thats 8 dollars for a full working day for each employee. Thats two freaking drinks. Get real. I can’t believe none of them were already making $ 9 per hour. what kind of company pays $ 8 per hour?!

I truly love honeyboba but the staff here is something else. I know it gets busy so I ALWAYS call ahead. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. When the girl finally realized that she put me on hold for really long she still had the audacity to say«helllooooo???» The whole time I can hear them talk to each other’s. Singing«shots shots shots» and talking about how they got dropped off from somewhere. I HEARDITALL! –___– I told them yeah I’ve been on hold for 10 minutes and they hung up on me. I arrive and LITERALLY no customers in line. As I enter I can see all the employees faces that I was the person who called. I asked who had picked up the phone and because I was put on hold and there’s no customers here. The girl had to give me a sad face and say«sorry, we are really busy» I told her there’s no one here. She said«we WERE really busy» I come here way too much for her to tell me that. I KNOW when it’s busy.

I always order the Strawberry Black Tea with boba here. I always ask for less ice and it seems that they always give me MORE ice when I ask for LESS ice. Pretty annoying. It is cold outside and so I don’t wanna drink my drink because of all the excess ice. Later, when I remember my drink again — the ice has all melted and diluted the drink. UGH I am also sadden to find out that they are no longer offering their stamp card for drinks. They have a paper that says that they stopped giving out stamps on 1÷1÷2016 and will stop accepting previously stamped cards on 1÷31÷2016. So go and redeem those stamp cards asap!

substitute for half&half when the wait is too long there… most of the time they give you all ice in your drink and no tea. really annoying when you order a large and get extra ice less tea. I guess it’s my fault for not specifying«please give me only like, 5 ice cubes»?! workers are always changing so there is no consistency. the convenient location is what gets me coming back. sigh.

After reading multiple reviews raving about this place, my friend and I decided to come to Honeyboba. Although the service was good, the drinks themselves were mediocre. I usually like my boba squishy, but these honey bobas were way too mushy and the drink was personally too sweet for my taste. I would rather spend my money at Half & Half, but unfortunately they were closed today.

I tried this place again recently and I had a better experience. I got here 20 minutes before it closed and there were still a good amount of people chilling and ordering drinks. The ambiance was a bit different this time. The background music wasn’t too loud. Parking was a bit easier as it seemed like this was only place open at this time. Since it was late and I just had a pretty hearty dinner, I decided to forgo the signature milky drinks and decided to go with an Almond Milk Tea with honey boba. I was surprised that they used the same size cups for the milky as they do for the milk tea, but I’m not complaining. I really enjoyed the drink. The drink was sweet, but not too sweet. The I was able to enjoy the sweetness of the almond, yet also enjoy the extra kick from the honey boba. The service here was a lot better. I was able to get my drink quicker as there was less people than the last time I was here. Overall, I had a better experience and I hope to have more like it when I come back here.

This was the first boba place I discovered when I moved here and was addicted! Kind of love their giant sizes. Just makes it hard to drive since they don’t fit in car cup holders & hard to hold since I like walking my dog here. I like all the options they have. My two favorite are the earl grey real milk tea & jasmine real milk tea. It’s nice they have the option of real milk, makes it creamier & fattier? So more delicious. It can just get pretty crowded & awkward waiting for drinks. They have gotten my drink order wrong here a couple of times, they’ll usually fix it but I’m always too lazy to get back in line & wait again.

I think Honeyboba has become one of my favorite boba place, quickly surpassing Half n Half. Like HnH, the cups are big and chubby.(Warning: this review will be a comparison between HnH and Honeyboba because up until now HnH has been my top boba place of choice, and the two tea places are very similar imo.) The main differences that I’ve noted so far are: 1) Honeyboba only charges 49 cents extra for large, whereas HnH charges 85 cents. 2) The milk teas and smoothies are made with non-dairy creamer. I don’t know what HnH makes their milk teas and smoothies with, but my lactose intolerant stomach does not appreciate it. However, my boyfriend, who is also lactose intolerant, said that the matcha smoothie didn’t agree with his stomach. 3) The boba is sweeter and not as chewy. I’ve only gotten boba once from Honeyboba so this is based only on a one time experience(the other times I’ve gotten rainbow jelly, and that’s basically the same every where). However, my boyfriend said that the boba wasn’t as sweet as HnH. I wish Honeyboba had more locations and were more conveniently placed. The parking lot is small, and turning in and out of it is a bit of a pain. I do like that there are plenty of seats inside of the restaurant so that you can sit down and chat with your friends. HnH usually requires you to pay an extra tax to sit inside, and the HnH express doesn’t even have a sitting area.

Been waiting 20mins for my drinks. And there’s people still waiting ahead of me. Some people are getting a little irritated. I get that things get busy but there could be better process to get drinks out more quickly. The business should give some kind of consolation for drinks that take too long to serve. And wow the whole store has people waiting for their drinks. Besides that we like the boba.

Short review: [Service] The cashier was patient as we scanned the menu. I would also like to add that even though there was a small line that came in after us, they were pretty good on completing the drink orders in a timely manner. I just wish they had a better system at this location besides waiting in the tight hallway to pick up the drinks. [Food Highlight] *DISCLAIMER* — I am by far, not a bubble tea aficionado. So by that, I’ll just only review the following drink: Lychee milk tea — First sip; it has a very strong tea flavor that over powers the lychee flavor. I like more creamier kinds of foods, and was hoping to find something similar to compare to how Honey Bits in Atlanta makes their version. So, different strokes for different folks. I don’t think it’s bad by any means. It’s just not my cup… of tea. For the honey boba itself; good texture consistent chewy. Slight sweetness. I guess you could say properly made. {Summary} Maybe next Cali visit I’ll get to try other flavors, like my usual Royal Milk tea. Until then, they’re A-OK.

My theory about the popularity of this place has to do not with the drinks but the location. Shocking isn’t it? Conspiracies everywhere these days. On a regular weekday afternoon, you will find this place swarming with high school students after a long day of class since it is located right next to campus. It’s clearly an ingenious plot to luring these kids into forking over their money for overpriced drinks. Totally. I used to be one of these kids. Enough said. I don’t believe I have ever been satisfied with their drinks before, ranging from their regular milk teas to Jasmine and almond, and to their fruity drinks and slushies as well. I have jumped around their menu plenty of times. However, the last few times I have been getting the earl grey milk tea. Something about the earl grey just soothes me. Shoot, I’m falling for the trap. Whenever I go, the wait is always far too long to get my drink made. And the tables there are way too sticky. Someone honestly needs to do a better job at cleaning the tables. In all honesty, I just never preferred their drinks over other boba shops. Also I find their drinks highly overpriced. But for high school students who have nowhere else to go, I suppose it fulfills a certain purpose.

This honey boba is smaller than the one I’ve been to in the Gardena/Torrance area. The counter to order is right when you walk through the door so if there’s a lot of people that might be an issue. The pick up location is also tucked in the corner right next to some tables… which I could see might be an issue if or when there are a lot of people. I got the milky with boba and taro pudding. They made the drink really fast(there was only 2 ppl in front of me) and I think it tasted pretty great. My boba was still warm and the ice took a while to melt(or maybe I just drank it too fast). There was a good amount of pudding and boba in there.

Why must you use cups that don’t fit in the car!!! Terrible parking lot when busy. I hate the register set up. Makes no sense to me. I came a long time ago when they first opened and didn’t do sweetness levels and hated it because it tasted like pure sugar. But now they do! Frosted Signature Milk w/Boba & Taro Pudding — $ 3.79 — It’s like half slushy and half milk drink. Perfect for a hot day. Boba was chewy. Taro pudding actually tasted like taro. Got no sweetness and it was still pretty sweet from the boba and taro. Love that this drink has so many topping options but just one price. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/Boba — $ 3.29 + $.49 — I could actually taste the green tea. Very good mix with the milk. Got no sweetness and the boba added the perfect amount of sweetness I needed.

I don’t know why the milk with pudding with boba is so popular in Socal… it’s pretty and colorful but there is no tea, which is the whole point of pearl milk tea. Anyways, I digress; let me stop complaining like a confused Norcal tourist and get to the actual review. [THEHONEYBOBA] A place called Honeyboba would surely give me the inclination to try the honey boba. Though I usually much prefer light and refreshing jelly over carby starchy boba, I really liked the honey boba. It had a nice sweetness, primarily from honey rather than massive amounts of sugar. It went great with the mountain oolong milk tea at 25% sweet. Notably, they added just the right amount of boba: no sadness of running out of boba and still having tea, and no awkwardness of a lonesome pile of boba after the tea is gone. [THEMATCHASLUSHIE] The matcha is not the best I’ve had, but it’s not bad – better than the über sweet green tea frappucinos at Starbucks and most definitely better than those sickly pale green concoctions at Peet’s The green tea taste is good but it’s rather creamy. [THEAMBIANCE] Honeyboba is quite nice – I like the ample natural lighting and lime green/yellow accents which altogether comes off as a cheery atmosphere rather than tacky. It’s quite spacious with large tables and would have been good for studying, except they don’t seem to have restrooms – which does not bode well with chugging a pint of tea. [THEVERDICT] Not bad! Honeyboba satisfies milk tea cravings, with a delicious bonus of honeyboba in a nice setting. Not only is the tea quality decent; the broad menu features numerous fruit tea flavors and several types of tea. In conclusion, it’s great for combating early afternoon sleepiness(especially when hungry after lunch at Dai Ho where the noodles were in very small portions)
