Holiday Inn Express & Suites Arcadia

Called this afternoon to get a room the girl said she was in the office and to give her my number, I told her I won’t be able to answer my phone and gave her my IHG Gold number and said I wanted a king non smoking room. I got there and had no room. Nice way to treat a repeat customer who won’t be back.

Sure enuff better now than last year same time. Plenty of elec outlets on nightstand. Close to our rodeo thing. Quiet and clean like any good hotel room. Always a really good place to stay for couple nites.

I was looking for a place to stay with my husband and 2 cats. I called and asked if they excepted pets. I had read that they would take pets under 20 pounds with a $ 10 a day for each pet fee. Not a problem. You travel with pets, you pay. I made my reservation over the phone, told them I had 2 pets, and informed them it would be a late check in. Initially I had booked a room at La Quinta in Port Charlotte but needed a third night and they didn’t have it. When we checked in the girl behind the desk said «Oh you have pets» yes I replied I informed the girl when I made my reservation. «what kind of pets?» Cats. «Oh we don’t take cats» «I’ll let you check in tonight but the last people that had a cat the manager made them leave.» Great its season here in south Florida and I’m here to visit my mom who has Alzihemers and where are we going to stay with pets. So I search and finally find rooms to stay the next few nights. But the next morning at breakfast have to put up with a dog in the breakfast room and there is a man on the elevator with a standard poodle. Definitely over 20 pounds. So cat people you are not welcome here stay away!!!

If you are ever blessed with the opportunity to travel to Arcadia, FL (can you hear the sarcasm?) and need a nice clean room, this place is what you’re looking for. Well above my expectations and a pleasant suprise. Clean rooms with a fridge, very comfortable bed, free wifi, and a kickass breakfast. Friendly staff as well, 4 stars.
