This is not a fancy«hip» KBBQ place, but it’s a great place to find good food. Korean BBQ places can be on the pricier side, but Han Yang is decently priced. I’ve tried the large platters, but I don’t like everything on there, so I tend to order my favorites over and over. The kalbi is good and I especially like the bbq chicken; it’s super tender and so yummy! The sides are good as well and that side salad(another fave) is always fresh & crispy with that delicious dressing. On off-peak times, it’s easy to be served quickly so that’s when I prefer to come. They have a tiny staff, so when it’s rush time, you need to have patience. I’ve done take-out, too, so you can call in your order if you just want to go pick it up.

Not recommended. Expensive for what they offer. They charge the child from 3 yrs old even not eating. Very few options for $ 14.99 like 4 kinds if meat and and some soups and eggs. The meat is not so good, like rubbery texture after cooking. Takes a lot of time to get an order even there is no other customer.

I just had a girl waitress and she sucks. Didn’t even bother to check on how I was doing with food. Didn’t give her a good tip due to her service.

Quick lunch after intense Yoga and biking at the Gym. I feel having Korean but pass on the bbq(it takes two to eat all that meat). I opted for the Combination of rice, vegetables and meat(bibimbap?) and the Seafood and tofu soup. Both were very good and it came with the typical Korean appetizers(pickled vegetables, broccoli etc). Satisfying overall but I am missing the overload of meat in their typical bbq. Next time I will bring a partner

Came here once with a friend after work to unwind and stuff my face. Overall, the food tasted good, but I wouldn’t come again due to the price vs. options available and meat quality. I felt like I was eating meat quality of $ 10AYCE in Koreatown, but paying double the price. Banchan was standard but unremarkable. We filled up mostly on brisket, which was decent. Each piece was not decent, not that tender, but also not too fatty.

I love this place, it’s clean, the food is great! I love the Korean BBQ and also tofu soup but my favor soup is chicken ginseng soup :) Specially during cold weather, atmosphere is good plenty of parking, I think it was about time I write a review on this place since is been 7 or 8 years since I been coming to this restaurant. I forgot to mentioned that customer service is good too, people are nice, I JUSTHAVEONEWISHMAYBETHEYCANPUTMORESEAFOODONTHESEAFOODPANCAKE :))

We typically go during the week since the place is not as packed and really affordable. Their soon dubu is so spicy and good! Love it. We typically get unlimited bbq option A($ 14.99 during the week) and it’s just enough options(including the soon dubu)! Everything — flavor wise is spot on!

Opted out of the AYCE and just ordered some soup and marinated short ribs(already cooked). Chicken ginseng soup was good. The broth was really tasty and they had some rice in there so it was hearty. Cold noodles had a great texture and flavor was light and refreshing. This was the highlight. The marinated short ribs were okay. Their marinade lacked and I think the beef from Tofu House is better. Service was mediocre. They did check in on us every so often, but when we asked for things(like more salad), they either refused due to the amount of dishes we ordered or took a while.

Very poor service and price is too high. There are so many better BBQ places in Arcadia nor Pasadena. They serve all meats in one plate even if there are marinated meats. They can’t serve marinated or un-marinated meats in one plate«by the law.» Furthermore, interiors are extremely old and foods are not delicious at all. With that prices, I rather go to other place. VERYAWFUL. POORSERVICE. NO Television. No American Express.

Food: Sooo delicious! I loved that it was clean & didn’t feel too oily, dirty, bloody, or unsanitary. Service: Definitely the best service I’ve ever had at a Korean restaurant. Felt extremely catered to & they’re just nice. Price: Could be a little cheaper. Ideal would be less than $ 20 since guests have to cook it.

Bad service!!! Never gonna come here again !!! I live near this place so i always come here with my family. We ate here today and there is a new waitress(young Chinese lady) works here. She was awful. She spilled a bowl of full of sauce on our carrying out and, she didn’t even bother to clean it up. She just throw the plastic bag on the table and left. She even have a friend who sits inside and they were sitting down and talking the whole time !!! Omg. What kind of restaurant is this!!! People don’t come here!!! BADDDDDD Service !!!

Ok… so we came down from the heat of Sacramento to spend 4th of July weekend with good friends and enjoy the more temperate weather of San Diego. We thought about stopping by Han Yang Garden on the way down, but traffic!!!(No need to elaborate). Anyway, on our return trip, it was a MUST to stop by… also praying that we don’t get disappointed as it is a 40 minute detour. Ha!!! I worried for nothing. We were greeted brightly by the same lady who greeted us the first time, a few years ago. We were seated at the same table. We ordered the same dishes. Spicy pork for the hubby, beef bulgogi for my boys, and based on last experience, I decided to share galbi tang with my mom. Awesome!!! The flavor of these dishes have depth. Cannot find this in Sacramento, unfortunately. In summary, we enjoyed the food we ordered… very much. So long, Han Yang Garden. Thanks for being our stop over. We’ll see you again on our trip south next year(hopefully) :-).

TL;DR. Meat quality and service is ok. Meat is a bit too chewy for me. Came here for lunch with a co-worker. It use to be a few bucks cheaper but now it’s $ 18.99 a person for unlimited AYCEKBBQ. The price is a bit much for the quality of meat and side dishes you receive. If I had paid $ 15 I would have thought it was a great deal. I tried their marinated short rib, brisket, and pork belly. To me, all of the meat was very chewy and some of it seemed«darker» than usual — meaning it probably wasn’t the freshest. The marinated short rib was flavorful but on the saltier side for me. The pork belly was also a bit chewy and did not taste as fresh. The brisket was probably my favorite because it went very well with their Korean-style ponzu sauce. The service is OK at this location. We ate for about an hour and the lady helped us cook two times so it wasn’t terrible. But, at the time we were the only guests in the restaurant, you would think she would have come over a bit more often to help out. If it was up to me, I would either goto Gen KBBQ in Alhambra or visit All That BBQ at the Arcadia mall. If you have no choice, I guess this place is OK. TIP** If you are there I would avoid the COMBOS and stick with the unlimited AYCE… It may end up being a few more bucks but at least you can eat to your hearts content ;)

Everything we ordered tasted really good! The only complaint about this place is that the service is sketchy and the waiter is pretty forgetful. Ordered: — Glass noodles with beef Light and refreshing. This is a huge bowl of cold long glass noodles. Don’t choke on them… very flavorful with a good amount of spice. Not a heavy dish, but it will get you pretty full. — Chicken BBQ Super good! They were nicely marinated, tender and juicy pieces of chicken(thigh… it had to be!) I love chicken! — Calbi Beef ribs I don’t usually eat beef but i tried this and it was so good… i thought to myself, should i start eating beef now?! It was tender and perfectly marinated. — Pork bulgogi So much flavor in this one! Bold and full of flavor, this dish had a kick with a nice amount of spiciness! I love it! — Served with rice, salad, and banchan. These were okay. Nothing spectacular to mention imo. I enjoyed the cold noodles and the variety of meats! Yum, I’ll be back!

It was apparently a busy night. I was told it was going to be about 15 minutes before I was able to get a seat. 15 minutes go by, was told to expect another 15 minutes of waiting. 15 more minutes go by. maybe another 15… ok… An hour later from putting my name down, we finally get seated. After being seated, a frantic waitress comes and takes our order… or so we thought. half our order comes and we devour it. 10 minutes go by after everything front of us was consumed, still no attention or anything. Finally, we notice the skinny waiter run by with an order to another table with soup that they didn’t order. He runs back to the kitchen a couple times, confused. I stopped him and asked if it was ours, no. This skinny guy is probably the main reason why our visit was so bad. We place an order and nothing comes of it. Literally, I place an order for some more meat and nothing comes by. He came by and asked if we wanted anything else, so just to humor him I give him an order and just place another one with another waiter. And of course the order I placed with the skinny waiter goes no where. One time that he actually did bring us our order was when another waiter handed it to him to bring it to our table. He shoves the platter of raw meat in front of my face to interrupt a conversation I was having with my friends. Never mind the table that we were seated at that was nearly empty of anything edible. He just holds it in front of my face till I leered at his stupid face and asked wtf it was he was handing me. That was the only order he filled all night for our table. Aside from this idiot, and the first lady that disappeared from sight, there was another lady that was serving food from the cart they bust tables with. I honestly couldn’t believe it. I sat by the kitchen, so I noticed all the dishes that were coming out. And here comes the rattling cart and tub of plates and used utensils, and right beside the tub was a dish that was going to the table in the front. None of the guests noticed it because she strategically served the food from behind them. Right after that, she goes about her busting, reaching for the wet rag that the dish was sitting on. That’s enough about the service, what about the food? Well, by 8PM don’t expect anything marinated to be available. Because they won’t have it. Apparently they just run out of food all the time. So what are we stuck with? Brisket, pork belly… and… brisket? Yea, the menu looked pretty good and might have been worth the $ 20/person, but c’mon, seriously? Nothing was left to order by 8:30PM. And even if there was anything left from the menu, we wouldnt have been getting it on a timely frequency. The only saving grace from all this was one waiter that started realizing how bad the service we were getting was. He waited on us hand and foot till his shift ended at 10PM. But by then we were already there for almost 2 and a half hours and only received 6 plates of food, 4 of which his served us before he left. For an all-you-can-eat place, that just sucks. — — — — — — — — — — — If you want to wait as long as you would in k-town(1+ hour) for a seat and be served less than mediocre food(brisket and… brisket?) by a staff that looks like they have never worked a day in their life at a near-premium price, come here.

For under $ 10 you can find great Korean meal options here. I came for the ox bone beef soup and was not disappointed, just be warned service moves slower than molasses in January. I know it’s a family owned business but maybe after you take someones order bring them water and some banchan as they wait so they have something to keep them occupied. With the ox bone soup it was interesting that you get to add glass noodles or rice to the soup, I went with glass noodles to mix up the texture and I already had a bowl of rice as a side. It’s a big bowl of soup and they treat the green onion garnish like a vegetable because the entire surface of my soup was floating green onion… a bit much. Over all satisfied with my visit as my soup satisfied my craving on a cold drizzly day. Parking is easy to find as it is in the same plaza as CVS.

After the rude service at All That BBQ, we found this Korean joint and we were both happy with it, yay!!! Located in the same plaza as CVS, this cute lil mom and pop shop satisfied my carnivorous bbq cravings. For $ 18.99 a person — they bring out the first plate and put it on the grill for yoy and you do the rest afterwards — what service!!! We got the unlimited BBQ, my Mom and I were both extremely happy here. The staff was welcoming and attentive and my mom loved how clean it was — even the bathroom. We were seated promptly, in the first booth upon entrance and not crammed in the back corner. They even changed our grill a couple of times and checking on us to make sure everything was okay. Though my mom cracked up that by Round 3, the waitress kinda ignored us a bit, lol… hey, they only bring out 1 – 2 items at a time and we were hungry, lol… We ended up getting rice, beef brisket, chicken, marinated short ribs, squid and shrimp with Tofu soup and steamed egg soup. For the banchan, we had soybean, pickled cucumbers and kimchee with house salad. Served with a liter of lemon water. My favorite dipping sauce is the oil with garlic powder, salt n pepper. Mom loved the sour dipping sauce — maybe it was Korean fish sauce or vinegar? Our favorites were the beef brisket and squid with Tofu soup. There’s more on the menu, but we knew what we liked, and what cooked fast, heheh. They also had bulgogi, cow tongue, pork belly, nurongji(Korean pot clay fried rice) and veggies. Overall, we found another BBQ joint that was friendly and welcoming. For the $ 18.99 price and service, we’ll be back to try the other BBQ items next time, lol.
