Food is so so, kitchen is very slow, waitresses are decent, place is not clean. Would only recommend to go.

I’ve been coming this place for 4yrs, don’t expect good customer service, since waitresses don’t speak much English but I don’t care. Food serves very quick and food is good! Great idea to come here for quick meal, and soy milk(this is my fav) Def come back as usual

I honestly go here only for their fresh soy milk and Chinese deep fried bread sticks(youtiao). I’ve had their other food like beef noodles and a stir fry noodle of some sort but it leans a little to the too salty side for me. Maybe stay with breakfast foods? The warm soy milk and youtiao never fail me.

Other than serving Taiwanese style breakfast(note: mostly of Shanghai influence), they also serve other lunch worthy dishes such as stinky tofu, oyster pancakes, noodles, noodles soup, XLB, shengjianbao(panfried pork buns), cold dishes, and more. Came to pick up my dad’s favorite, their radish pastry, and thought we’d also have lunch here. Radish pastry: minced pork, radishes, very delicious and filling. I expected it to be a bite full for $ 1.30, but it was at least 3 – 4 bites and the size of the palm of my hand. A really good deal. Radish cakes: this isn’t the same as the Cantonese dimsum style. They don’t serve it with hoisin sauce. The radish is more cooked throughout, unlike the Cantonese counterpart which contains more textured chunks. This was a huge order that came with 5 large pieces and it was panfried well. Salted soy milk: delicious, and so filling with pork sung, crueller, scallions, pickled veggies mixed in. Mixed rice and soy milk hot/cold versions: a sweet drink, you can really taste the toasted flavors of the rice milk and can overcome the soy flavors a bit. What an interesting dish and really new to my palate. Rice roll: this was well done, though I wish the crueller was a bit more crunchy. Along with 14 radish pastries we took to go, our bill was about $ 40. The portions are filling and flavors are home-like. It is more hole in the wall, but the experience was great!

This is a family-owned joint with friendly service. I’ve been here for Chinese breakfast during the week and on the weekend. The service is always consistent and so is the food quality. Aside from the traditional items like rice ball, egg pancakes, I’m also a fan of the green onion steam bun and pot stickers.

I love coming here for my Taiwanese breakfast fix. I usually pick up my order to enjoy at home in my pajamas, and they always get the order done super fast. I love the sticky rice rolls(fan tuan) and twisted crullers(you tiao). Plenty of parking available but is cash only.

Yummy Taiwanese breakfast! Unlike other small asian restaurants, they take credit cards. And they also have ample seating. There’s food arranging from asian breakfast to other asian entrees. Amazing place here. Stopped here on the way to LAX one morning on a weekday and it was packed around 8am already! The portions are big for their price! Would definitely come back!

Great place for chinese style breakfast in arcadia. I haven’t been able to find a decent place that serves this since my favourite restaurant on Valley closed. I ordered a sugar-less soy and salty soy drink, chinese donut, two chinese donuts with covered with rice. All for 12.59. Not bad. The place is small and def expect to have asian service. They also have vegetable baos and some red bean cakes on the side. Overall, its a great place for asian breakfast.

I give 1 start because Unilocal requires minimum 1 star. I’ve never been to this place, and since it is a block from my house, I decided to fulfill my sudden crave of egg pancake. Yet, I stood in the store for 10 mins, came out empty handed. No one was taking orders and I literally had to ask the server if I can place my order. This lady was giving me an attitude and said wait(in mandarin). She then passed by me at least 4 times and never take orders from me. I waited and waited and yup, I left the place like that.

Obviously, because of their name, you should get the soy milk. I got the plain cold one which hit the spot. The oyster pancake was large and good. Stinky tofu was a little different than I’m used to. Drier, maybe. Other than that, good place to get some Sunday lunch.

Great authentic Taiwanese Breakfast. Although restaurant looks like it has been stuck in the past with seats that are broken and taped up. You don’t come here for ambiance. The best egg pancakes. The dough is thinly mixed with eggs, it’s almost like a egg crêpe. Way better than Yi Mei on Duarte Blvd in Arcadia or JJ bakery Taiwanese Breakfast. Onion pancakes are flaky and they put a good proportion of scallion. I like it that they have hot/cold soy milk and sweet/unsweetened soy milk. Service not so good they get pretty busy. Overall great breakfast comfort food.

This is a small Taiwanese restaurant. It’s a bit further away from most of the Asian restaurants, but if you are in the area, I guess you can give this place a shot. They serve Dou Jiang(Soy Milk), Porridge, and other Taiwanese small dishes like pancakes or omelettes. I tried their preserved egg porridge, their you tiao, and their ham omelette. The omelette was actually pretty good because not many places get the sauce right. I’ve had authentic Taiwanese food in Taiwan and this was one of the closer ones to the taste that I’ve had. However, I would not say it made a huge impression on me. Just a place to drop by if you’re in the area.

Soy milk, youtiao, pan-fried daikon paste, sticky rice rolls with dried pork in the middle… these are some of my favorite Chinese breakfast foods, and I can order all that here at Doe Jon Station. Prices are very reasonable and service is decent. Be sure to bring cash, it’s CASHONLY!

Eat at your own risk: upon entrance, you will see a huge graded«C» sign. Everything cheap though. We came for brunch and ordered the following for 2 people: Salted Rice Roll Spicy Cucumber Salt Bean Milk Soy Bean Milk All these for $ 8.50 + tax. The Salted Rice Roll was good, but that’s it. Don’t bother to order the Salt Bean Milk. You will have better ones somewhere else. As for the Spicy Cucumber, it looked and tasted like it has been sitting in the fridge for a long period of time.

I’m not much of a breakfast person but since I woke up early to drop my car off to get fixed, my dad and I decided to have breakfast here since it was so packed on Saturday that he didn’t have a chance to sit down. We had the salty soy milk with fixings and all with a you tiao(fried crullers/dough stick) and we both agreed that it was REALLY good here. The salty soy milk was very flavorful with everything they put in and the you tiao was pretty good(I have eaten this all my life). It wasn’t too doughy or greasy and had the perfect density of dough beyond the outer crispiness. The chives/leek pocket was REALLY good as well. I am picky when it comes to these because a lot of times, the chives aren’t that fragrant. No problem here. Perfect outer layer and delicious fragrant chives. The chicken roll was pretty good– not too dense with a crispy beancurd layer. It was very nice, but the pickled cabbage was a bit too sweet and smelly for my liking. The beef shao bing was REALLY good. My dad and I have never had this before and we enjoyed it a lot! The beef was so tender and complemented the crispy shao bing really well. Overall, I liked this place and would come back, but maybe for take out if it gets too crowded. The tables are also a bit sticky but it’s ok– there are so many items of the menu that I want to try!

I’ve watched this place change from various different restaurants before finally settling to this Taiwanese breakfast joint. I’ve tried it a few times and it hasn’t blown me away but it hasn’t disappointed me either. The owners are really nice and friendly. Although the restaurant is a little small and not very bright(seems very dim inside), people usually go in, eat for about 15 – 20 minutes before leaving. Their radish cake is really good. I’ve tried their fan tuan with and without the pickled vegetables and I have to admit that I have had better and I have had worse. What I like about Doe Jon Station’s fan tuans is that the you tiao is incredibly crispy. However, there isn’t much rice or pork sung so the fan tuan itself is pretty small. I believe it’s around $ 2.50 for a normal fan tuan, but it is $ 3.26 for a fan tuan with pickled vegetables. For almost a dollar more, I expect a lot of pickled vegetables(xuan cai) in my fan tuan! I expect it to be packed! … There was really little. So little that I couldn’t really enjoy the pickled vegetables. I think I’ve had their pork chop rice a while back before and it was pretty good! Their cold sweet soy milk is also pretty delicious — although it’s around $ 2.50 for a cup. No cards accepted! Only cash. I also like that they open until 7PM. Most Taiwanese breakfast joints in the SGV close fairly early.
