Visited this farm on a CUESA tour once. They are a really nice family and they grow ORGANIC flowers! I got some dahlia’s, which are some of the most beautiful ones I have seen.

Great Bay Area ORGANIC flowers available at the Farmers Markets: Saturdays in Larkspur(Marin Country Mart) and Thursdays at the Ferry Building downtown. Terrific tulips in season at the time of writing, and they are certified organic.

Never try to pre-order anything from these people unless you plan on spending over $ 300, no matter how simple your order. We visited the farmer’s market in Aptos a few weeks ago, inquired about pre ordering flowers for our wedding, were told that we could pre order and that if our order was less than $ 300 we could come to the farm and pick up the order. Over $ 300 they would deliver. They told us we could pick the colors we liked, let them know a couple of weeks in advance and that would be that. When we called and tried to pre-order our buckets of random dahlias Kari told us that she would not take an order less than $ 300. I explained that we didn’t need that many flowers for our small wedding and offered to place a pre paid order of $ 200 and I also offered to just come and pick up a couple of the buckets they were putting together for the farmer’s market so that they wouldn’t have to do any of the«extra» work she claimed was necessary for wedding orders. She declined. Now we are in a lurch for flowers and our local neighborhood farm, from whom we have been buying flowers for years, has decided to stick by random company policy over common sense and good neighborlyness. So much for«local organic goodness». This is a perfect example of why most people buy their flowers from Costco and Safeway even though they are grown in Africa and shipped halfway around the world, at least I can get what I need when I need it, sans the attitude of our most local option.

I find Thomas Farm usually at the Farmer’s Market and I got a bunch of posey’s for $ 15 that lasted over a week for my friend. I always find great lilly’s and orchids, and more than I could possibly want… well you know I want it all! Check local markets for them otherwise email them at
