Another perfect eggs Benedict for breakfast with hash browns, too. Perfect service in a perfect environment. And a very reasonable price. Severino’s is really quite convenient to get to, too. You just have to know it’s there! Try it for breakfast. Really, try it. You’ll be back. We have been-several times now.

First time here and ordered to go. Very friendly and food ordered was delish. Ordered a tuna melt sandwhich, bowl of clam chowder(New England style). The sandwhich had a golden buttery sided. I think it was a sandwhich with three peices of bread and was fully filled with tuna salad. It was a pretty tall sandwhich. We asked for fresh fruit instead of fries. We got a tall coffee cup of fresh cut fruit(melon mix, grapes, pineapples). Clam chowder was delicious, piping hot, creamy and had large clam peices The creamy roux base was thick and had a light smokey flavor. Did not seperate when reheated, so not overly bleeding with butter(which I don’t favor). Came with oyster cracker mini packets, as well. It’s a good stop for dining inside or to go. The state beach is nearby, so grab a sandwhich and enjoy at the nearby state beach down the road :)

This review is strictly for the food quality. The restaurant is inside of Best Western Seacliff, which has a nice patio area. I had my wedding rehearsal dinner here — party of 14. The staff was friendly. I had the new york steak(~$ 33) was not good. I ordered it medium rare — came out overly cooked — chewy. It was topped with some sauce, which it shouldn’t have. Overly priced for bad steak. The clam chowder was pretty decent. Wasn’t great but wasn’t bad. The coconut shrimp was good though. Someone in my party ordered the Fish n’ Chips and she said it was mediocre. I’d come back here to have drinks but not the food.

Wowza! We are both here right now! Their appetizers are incredible, ½ price: Daily M-F 3 – 6 pm Sun and Mon 3 – 9 pm However, our waitress, Skylar, is the best waitress ever: happy, friendly, and ‘always’ smiling. Did I mention the bus boy, Tony, who is exceptional and so on target! If you are in Santa Cruz, ya gotta stop by this place! Anytime you go there, this place has great foods, dinners are great. Out-back of the bar is a beautiful Koi pond, great for atmosphere and pics! We had Carnitas Nachos, incredible AND crispy Severino’s Camari, awesome Jeff, the manager is great! Jeff, «Can you hear me about Skylar! Great lady!» Thanks Bill and Loretta Sylvia Fremont, CA

Located on grounds of the Best Western Seacliff Inn. This restaurant is the place to be for the complimentary buffet breakfast(sans scrambled eggs. hardboiled only) or order from the menu. The bar is the place in the area after hours with decent drink mixing and bar style munchies(small flatbread, potato skins, etc). Good drink and food prices. Watch for your change; my draft something and a strangers glass of Chardonnay cost me a 20-note because I forgot to wait for my change. Damn alcohol. Don’t leave your purse on the bar unattended. I commend the staff for quickly removing my daughters clutch after she wandered off but please turn it in to the front desk promptly. I was surprised how busy this bar was on this Saturday night. About half of the crowd seemed to be locals(not hotel patrons) and the balance were wedding party members of about 3 different wedding groups. Live music on Saturday night. There a small dance floor but plenty of room at tables inside and out on the patio next to the koi pond and bridge. Yes, this is Aptos. Prepare yourself for the local interpretive dancing peeps needing plenty of room for their expressive style groove.

Severinos has been around a long time… it has been consistently good through out the years. One thing that I had never realized until I attended a function there is that they have a great banquet/meeting facility. The food was hot, creative and delicious. Great for business, celebrations and any other occasion. Love it. Jackie Jacobs

My wife and I eat at Severino’s three times a week. The food is consistently good and the service is OUTSTANDING! Seldom do you get to see a group of managers, cooks, servers and bussers help each other out and work as a team to ensure the customers are always satisfied. We are treated like«family» here and really enjoy our lunches and date nights. Kudos to the staff.

We came here after purchasing a Groupon voucher and was quite pleased! This is a hidden gem, a no-fuss local restaurant serving flavourful dishes @ a reasonable price! They even have a koi pond, a nice distraction while waiting for food or a nice short stroll after your meal!

I came here with some friends before seeing a show at Cabrillo College and I was not disappointed! I got two smaller plate/appetizers and they were very satisfying. I got the tomato basil flat bread and the mac and cheese. They are very well sized and great amount for dinner. We sat out on the patio by the coy pond and it was beautiful outside and our waitress was great. I also enjoyed two drinks from the bar and they were very tasty and had a good punch if you know what I mean. I will be recommending this business to people looking to eat in the area and I will be back to try other items on the menu as well.

A restaurant and a bar located inside Best Western in Soquel. I never would have guessed but the prices were all very reasonable. There is a nice outdoor patio area but even w/the heat lamps, I still would not have opted to be seated outside. Their clam chowder had more roux than anything. It was tasty and thick but thick because they did not add enough cream to thin out the roux. Their complimentary bread wasn’t served warmed and it seems as though each table has a basket w/the bread inside which means it’s not as fresh as it could possibly be. My open-face NY strip steak sandwich was dry. I had to ask for A1 Sauce. It was difficult to enjoy this entrée because the steak needs to be sliced prior to serving, I believe. My steak was not rare. How I wish restaurants know how to perfect a rare piece of steak. The onion rings were fried perfectly. The fries were subpar. My kid’s chicken tenders meal is good. Craig surely enjoyed his full rack of ribs. More like 3.5 but generously rounding up.

I’m really disappointed in this place. I expect it to be great, but it’s just not good. Kind of a bummer because it’s so close to our house, but it really needs to improve.

Ate here 3 times while staying at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised and ate there rather than go other places because it was good. Harder to get service outside, but just let them know you are there and they will take care of you. We had a variety of items and also are poolside. Everyone raved and was happy with the choices. Definitely would return

My boyfriend and I came here for restaurant week. We ordered the caprese, rack of lamb, and the crème brûlée for 25 dollars and sliders off the menu. The caprese was small it came with two tomatoes, mozzarella and two pieces of bread with balsamic vinegar and basil. Although the portions were small it tasted very good. The rack of lamb was perfect. The sear was good and gave a nice crust. The temperature and seasoning was on point and the sauce was delicious. The sliders came with fries and they were pretty good. The dessert was a dark chocolate crème brûlée. It tasted very rich and would be good for someone who doesn’t like sweets. Aside from the food the scenery outside is gorgeous. There is a cute little koi pond outside with a bridge. The experience at this restaurant was very good. The service was good and the food was great. If its not cold outside I would recommend eating outside.

Came here for Santa Cruz restaurant week!(For those who don’t know what that is, google it! it’s a week in Santa Cruz where selected restaurants offer a 3-course meal for only $ 25) This place is located at the Seaclift Inn, just walk into the lobby and walk straight into the restaurant. Inside the restaurant you have the view of their beautiful garden(?) With a koi pond, bridge and even some outdoor seating. For my meal, I got their«award winning» Boston clam chowder, the pasta bisteca and finally the Godiva chocolate crème brûlée. The clam chowder was amazingly good. It’s much better than those New England clam chowder you got elsewhere. It was chunky and filled with potatoes and clams. Delicious. Their pasta bisteca was also good, but it was just alfredo pasta with skirt steaks grilled on top. Very simple. My boyfriend got the cioppino, which was basically just bunch of seafood. Reminded me of a fancy Boiling Crab, cause they give you a bib to wear. Lastly, the crème brûlée wasn’t bad. My only complaint was that I don’t think they torched the sugar ontop. You can still see the sugar grains. Maybe they forgot, not sure. However, I believe that some of these meals are not on their regular menu. What I really liked about this place is their customer service. It was one of the best service I gotten in a long time. I do recommend this place and would probably go here a lot more often if it just a little closer to me.
