Linda does amazing nails! She’s so precise and meticulous. She truly cares about the quality of her work and her clients satisfaction. Love going to Linda for my pedicures and manis :) can’t wait to go back!

It is a very comfortable easy-​going salon and the owners are great people. I had uneven experience there with Michael. At first he listened to what I wanted and it took a couple of haircuts to fine-​tune it. His skills, if he will do what you want, are excellent, very professional, and he is a nice person. I planned to become his loyal permanent client for years to come.
Early on I made a small request about the haircut and he said no. (Every outside hairdresser I’ve had always honored this request, so I was quite surprised.) Next time he spontaneously layered the back of my one-​length hair without even asking me! Shortly thereafter he updated my blond highlights with a very ugly non-​matching reddish color when I was assuming the totally obvious, that a stylist would use the same blond color that is already in my hair. (He’d already done it right once before, so it was a rude shock.) I can’t believe any stylist would ever do this. My first impression of his work had been so good, and I had been so happy to find what I thought was an excellent stylist for my particular hair.
I’ve seen Michael do great work on men’s short hair. For the rest, if he wants to do what you request, he can give you a brilliant cut, and probably other good services as well. If you want a surprise makeover of HIS choosing without your asking for it, Michael is the right stylist for you.
Personally, I think a client’s wishes deserve respect, and at least a constructive mutual conversation. One star for bad communication.
Four stars for the salon!

I recently moved to the area and needed to find a stylist who could make the best of my curly hair. Michael of Salon Aptos took me right away. He followed the lines of my cut perfectly. He was also able to find the right color for my eyebrows, which are disappearing as they get whiter. (My former stylist was coloring them light brown, which really wasn’t right as my hair is now mostly silver.) I was very impressed with the great service attitude and I enjoy talking to Michael, who is funny and intelligent. Much better than reading years-​old «People» magazines or «Modern Stylist!»

Pat Garcia is the consummate pro! She takes her time to find out what *I* want. Wonderful!

What a gem of a hair salon! The salon’s stylists are highly professional and have been practicing for years. They’re the uncontested color pros! Their prices are impressively reasonable for their high quality services. The salon is intimate (7 stations) and always clean with good background music. But most of all, it’s the incredibly caring, creative and intelligent stylists that set this salon apart from its sisters. A cut and color is always a money-​well-​spent, rewarding experience.

I absolutely love this salon!
It’s not super fancy, frou-​frou hip. And that’s what makes it great. The stylists are all very experienced, no-​frills folks who give great service every time. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality of service you get, and they’re always playing great music. It also helps that the salon is located in a gorgeous part of Aptos, where you can hike Nisene Marks after an awesome haircut.
I recommend Kathie. I’ve been going to her for just over 20 years and she is one of the best.
