AMAZING coffee. Im not much of a coffee drinker, often its too bitter for my taste, but this coffee is absolutely unbelievable. Smooth flavor, no bitterness, and lovely taste. The service is always great. They roast all their own beans to perfection right in the store. I would highly recommend coming here if youre in the area. It is well worth the visit!

Best coffee in the Santa Cruz area. Their baked goods are also excellent. The outdoor patio is a gorgeous place to spend a morning or afternoon too. I wind up here several times a week at least.

Delicious coffee! And a very lovely local hangout. Though I wish the seating area were a tiny bit more comfy.

Acai bowl is excellent, as long as they have all the fruit they typically throw in there — Strawberries, blueberries and blackberries — it’s rare but sometimes they don’t have all the fruit. I always add honey and then enjoy that savory flavor :)

Not a coffee drinker… but they do have very good gelato here. Not sure who makes it for them, but it is always very good. Ordering is a bit odd… and God help you if the coffee side of the business is busy. If they are… light something on fire near the ice cream station any hopefully someone will come over. Nice portions, fair prices, good gelato. The end.

I stopped here for a quick breakfast nosh before work and was hoping they had green iced tea, my new beverage of choice. I lucked out! They had several iced tea options and I decided to get the green jasmine iced tea. For breakfast, I chose a carrot muffin that must have come straight out of the oven because it was still warm! I’m not in Aptos often, but when I come back to the area, I am going to make a special visit to Pacific Coffee to try a latte and another delectable dessert!

I can honestly say this is the best latte I’ve ever had. Their coffee is certainly their strength as you’d expect. Bagels are mediocre. Oatmeal is good. But the coffee is to die for. Amazing. Fair warning: I am not a sugar lover. Sweet teeth be warned this is not your coffee place.

They served the WORST blended mocha and white vanilla blended mocha! Flavor was horrible, it was like drinking water, there was nothing blended frappé about it! Such a disappointment! We got a cinnamon roll type of muffin and a raspberry bar… both were gross! The place itself is very nice and clean, so my review is just on beverages and pastries. Wont be going back…

Good coffee at fair prices. Had a iced coffe and it was nice and strong. They have outdoor seating. Also have organic ice-cream, idk if that makes it taste any better. They have several mocha style drinks with various chock are concoctions. Parking here can be a pain though.

The people who work here are super nice, especially the lady who helps me pick out my beans. I just wish they were open a little later and had more convenient bike parking. Being Aptos, I’m probably the only person who cares about this. The cappuccinos are really frothy if you like that. The coffee selection for drip is variable and diverse and very good. Outdoor and indoor seating is nice and usually available. There are usually only a few all-day computer campers like myself. It’s definitely cleaner than the Ugly Mug.

Great coffee and wonderful friendly people! We were a little lost being from out of town and the barista gave us a map and plotted out where we needed to go, while also making me a delicious espresso drink! I had the café Borgia

The Café Ibara is a must have, they use this Mexican Ibara Chocolate that’s perfection and if you were to compare this drink to a mocha, it’d be an insult to the Ibara. It’s a nice place to start your day with pastries and real food, a very local Aptos vibe so you can really relax and take it all in. I’d describe the decorum as fountain drink meets rustic charm…

I often order organic, bird friendly coffee in push pots for large groups and the coffee gets HUGE compliments. I have experienced only the most professional service every time. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for the highest quality organic, bird friendly coffee for their groups.

After our stay at New Brighton State Beach, we wanted a short coffee break before our drive back to San Francisco. Pacific Coffee Roasting Company & Café is a nice and unassuming café. They have a wall of coffee beans, and a coffee roaster sitting in the café, with some(probably decorative) burlap coffee bean sacks along the window. Other than that it looks like a standard strip mall coffee shop. There were a few other customers at 8:00am, and not a long wait for our coffee drinks. I had a cappuccino, which was good. Next time, I’d probably try their other fun drinks, like the vanilla latte. We also had a muffin, which was fresh from the oven, but pretty standard and a bit oily.

This place was ok, I guess. It was my first visit here. My gripes about the place are: 1. that it is loud. If you need to do any studying or concentrating this is not the place to go. 2. Customer service needs a little work. The barista was not rude or anything like that. The employee just seemed like they didn’t enjoy their job. They did the bare minimum, no smile, minimal conversation. It would have been nice to know that the internet was working sporadically, after all that was my main purpose of going there. And the barista saw my computer when I placed it on the counter to order. They knew that the internet was not working properly at the time, because people kept asking about it & they said they already called the repair man. 3. My beverage was OK. Nothing fantastic or exciting. I can go anywhere for the same or better. Will I go back? More than likely not.

I come here about twice a week to work. The bagels are great, the lattes are delicious, the desserts are good, etc. I appreciate that the menu is simple enough while still providing a nice selection. The vibe is a little more chill than other places I go to — no loud music, nice lighting, round café tables. I love the outdoor seating area! However, this is the second establishment i’ve been at in the Santa Cruz area where i’ve seen a non-service dog brought into the shop by a customer, a staff person pets the dog and then they handle food. This is totally unacceptable. Please: wash your hands, with soap and water, thoroughly, in case some of are not interested in being exposed to feces or slobber.

I was open minded in coming to this place, and I wasn’t so disappointed; they gave me the wrong muffin, but the café mocha was great Other than that they also had great customer service.
