The owner of this shop is a real jerk. I tried to order a pair of replacement eyes for my sister’s nutcracker which would cost $ 3. John wanted to charge me $ 14 for shipping! When I discussed it with him he was firm in his insanity. He said that if I needed some cream for a recipe I would drive to get it and pay whatever price it cost including the cost of gas, etc. because I needed it. He suggested I buy something else from the thousands of items in their inventory to make the shipping cost worthwhile. Is this guy out of his mind??? This is an old nutcracker — probably worth about $ 10. Stay far away from this place. John Ranes is a sleazy businessman.

I ordered a replacement part for a Steinbach nutcracker. It is not easy to find individual parts, but John Ranes found the part I needed. It took him some time to get it ordered and shipped from Germany, he managed to do it and now our nutcracker is restored — thanks John!
