Stumbled upon this place accidentally, and it was the best unexpected find! We shared the tomato eggs Benedict and BLTA – spectacular. Loved that everything is locally-sourced and the friendly staff. This place is definitely on par with big city restaurants, and I’ve already tried to replicate their dishes now that I’m back home, but no luck. So I’ll be back for more next time I’m in the area. Sap does not disappoint!

Oh my goodness! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in town! Service is always impeccable. Food is locally sourced and deliciously prepared. Each visit is wonderful. They welcome you like family. It can get a bit loud sometimes but if you go during the«down time» it is absolutely perfect!

Visiting Appleton for work and wanted to try a local place. I am traveling by myself and don’t really like to eat alone so I was really happy that this place was so comfortable. I went around 2:30 in the afternoon but the place was almost packed. I sat at the really cool bar. Food was fantastic. Bar stool was super comfy. Coffee was amazing. I had my meal, read my book and chilled for a while. I will be stopping there in the morning, rather than Starbucks.

initially had plans to go somewhere else, but the crap weather wednesday morning led me here cause it is super close to my hotel. NOT. MAD. ABOUTIT. been here three times now and it’s been spot on every time. locally sourced food makes all the difference. especially in the egg department. and they squeeze ALL their own juice. soooo good. day 1– app special: brussel sprouts, bacon, pecans, dried cranberries, balsamic glaze. had them throw 2 basted eggs on top. amazing! day 2– lemon ricotta pancakes. ok, if you’ve never been to hell’s kitchen in minneapolis than these are fine. nothing to complain about. if you have been, well, then you know. day 3– corned beef hash. most of the time when places get a lil fancy with their CBH it just doesn’t work out. i would absolutely order this again. day 4– i f#@ked up and tried somewhere else. stupid me. day 5– going tomorrow for the chorizo benny. excited about it. will update.

This place is great. We come to Appleton for work sporadically, and every time we land we make a beeline to SAP for breakfast. This place is not just good for a small town — if they had one here in(larger southern city with a multitude of high quality breakfast/brunch options) I’d go every day. I’ve never had a bad item. At first I was into their variety of creative benedicts, but recently I’ve been going with the SAP cakes — perfect pancakes with local real maple syrup — along with a couple perfectly cooked over-medium eggs and a chicken apple sausage patty. And don’t forget to try a caramel latte — among the best I’ve had. Friendly staff, great open, upscale but comfy space. Always looking forward to the next visit!

Great food, no doubt! Grilled salmon and grass fed burger were really beautifully done. If you do not mind waiting 30 min although you were on the call list in approximately 85db noise you might actually enjoy it. The overall experience was ok but pricey!

Went to SAP two days in a row it was so good! Nice gem that’s a bit out of place in boring ‘olé Appleton, but in a good way. Would go back if ever in Appleton again.

I’ve never had a bad dining experience at S.A.P. A second location by the same owners of Carmella’s(a few storefronts next door), this brunch, lunch and dinner spot does not disappoint. Be prepared to wait, whether you come on a weekday, or especially on a weekend. You can make reservations, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get seated at that time. If waiting is not your cup of tea, find another place to eat. That being said, the food is worth the wait! S.A.P. features a coffee bar and bakery section where you can pass your wait with some caffeine. The dining area is decorated in a very contemporary fashion. The menu offerings include a variety of brunch staples such as eggs benedict and french toast, as well as sandwiches, salads and a variety of bakery. Be sure to listen for the specials as they are usually something scrumptious that isn’t on the menu! Last time I visited S.A.P. I enjoyed a special feature of a smoked salmon eggs benedict that was to die for.

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, in a little strip mall, but like it’s neighbor Carmella’s, there is something really special inside! Our server was excellent, from our server Elizabeth, and the manager checked in on us which I always appreciate! The soda is served from glass bottles, or there is a great wine list and brunch drink list! Elizabeth also recommended the fresh apple juice! Did I mention the Collectivo coffee? YUM! You walk in with a beautiful bakery display, YUM! We could not resist some dessert to go-almond cake with chocolate buttercream, I haven’t even tried it yet but it sounds amazing! For lunch we got the SAP burger and spinach salad, both were amazing! The burger was cooked perfectly, with a fantastic brioche bun! The onion rings were great too! The spinach salad was yummy, I’d recommend getting grilled chicken with it! I cannot wait to visit again for a brunch food and drinks!!! It was busy even at 2PM on a saturday, so keep in mind it’s a busy, popular place! :)

I wish we had a place like this in Santa Clarita. Its sad that we don’t. I happened upon SAP when I went to Penzey’s next door. My wife was at the Packer’s game(Bucket list) and I decided to do some shopping. I sat at the counter and had an amazing black bean burger. It was huge, and it came with fries, onion rings, coleslaw and a pickle. The bun was so soft and fresh too. I added a slice of cheese too. I could not believe that humongous platter of food was only 12.00. I went to the«bakery» and got a couple treats to go. Lemon cardamom cookies, browned butter pecan short bread and apple handpies. All very fresh and delicious. The cookies were 1.00 each. I wanted to try the macaroons, but they were sold out(Boo). If I’m in Appleton again(which I’m sure I will be because the Packers lost and my wife informed me she’ll need to go to another game). Im coming here!

O was not expecting much since it is in a strip mall, but what an awesome surprise! I had the Chorizo Benedict. It was outstanding. The rest of my party had a Reuben and pancakes. The Reuben was excellent. The panckaes and sausage were light and fluffy and very good, as well. We can’t wait to go back. I’d highly recommend it if you are in the area.

Wow! If you are looking for something different and unique definitely try this place. Reasonably priced too. We had the grilled cheese and a burger. The flavors were awesome. We took dessert to go because we were full. But I have a feeling it won’t disappoint either.

Cool concept. Kind of a bakery, diner, bistro combo. Excellent good quality and service. Very nice atmosphere too. Directions are a bit off. Brings you to Atlanta Bread and DSW… Go side entrance next to DSW, turn right and then right at Chili’s and Verizon. It’s in the same strip mall.

This place is super amazing. While a group[ of us stayed in Appleton, we needed a place to grab some breakfast before we headed to Lambeau. Myself and another member of my group ordered bloody mary’s and the chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles are to die for. So good. The Bloody Mary was very good too. Get the the local syrup that they offer for an extra dollar. Service was super friendly, even with us wearing out of state football jersey’s in the middle of Packer Nation. I’d like to add that everyone in the restaurant was very friendly too. I was very pleased with finding this place. One thing to keep in mind on Sundays make sure you give yourself some time. There was about a 45 minute wait to get in, but it is so wirth it.

Excellent breakfast! Went on a Sunday morning and the wait was very long. Had grassfed steak and eggs. Very high quality ingredients, but the steak was a little over cooked. Girlfriend got the bagel, parfait, and grapefruit. They were all delicious. Will gladly try again!

I have lived in this area for three years now and this is THE first local breakfast establishment to knock my socks off! The ingredients are locally sourced with their origins printed on the menu and our meals were fresh and unique! I went with the braised short rib Benedict and a lemon ricotta pancake, my husband had the corned beef hash. Both of our entrees came with SAP salad and SAP potatoes. The vinaigrette? dressing on the spring greens of the salad was amazing. Normally I do not like spring greens because they are so bitter, but the dressing balanced out the greens and I was a better woman because of it. My Short Ribs Benedict was delicious. The flavor balance was out of sight and I had to make it a point to pace myself while eating it. I wanted to ENJOY this meal. The lemon ricotta panacke was alright, the lemon crème sauce was great, but the actual pancake was a bit dry. I gave the mimosa a try, but word of advice is that the champagne should be a bit sweeter. I made the pucker face every sip I took. To top it off, we stopped at the dessert counter on the way out and I picked up the Key Lime Tart. Yeahhhhh I have been desperate to return to SAP and buy a dozen more.

This is the best breakfast restaurant in Appleton. It is really something you would expect to find in a large city. The cooking is excellent and the selections are unique. The huevos rancheros are good as is the eggs benedict. They have several types of eggs benedict. I’ve had the fried green tomatoes benedict and the chorizo benedict, I enjoyed both. They also have specials everyday. On Sundays they have a half chicken and waffles special which is awesome. They also have a little bakery area and a café at the front of the restarant. The cold press coffee is my drink of choice and I prefer it to what I get at Starbucks, good stuff. Finally, the service is excellent. The staff is well trained and knowledgable. The food is delivered within 5 to 10 minutes even when the place is packed.

Just when you’ve given up on ever finding a decent restaurant in Northern Wisconsin, you find this gem. SAP has outstanding brunch, baked goods, and dinner options too. We had brunch. Salmon and bagel for $ 10? Yes, I think I will! Outstanding and fresh. My husband had chicken and waffles. Also very good. He loved that it was a huge boneless piece with both white and dark meat. Super crispy and seasoned perfectly. I also had Bruleed Grapefruit with fresh berries — it was fresh and tasty. Fresh squeezed apple, orange, and tomato juices. Fantastic. This place has counter service, table service, and outdoor seating. Service here is friendly and laid back. Our server wore the requisite SAP T-shirt uniform with a rocking set of pearls. I don’t know why, but that’s just the definition of cool. The setting here works for families, couples, and even a single diner. Not too loud. I find myself in this area once a year. Looking forward to coming back next year. SAP is a guaranteed good bet in Appleton.

Hello, amazing breakfast! I can see why SAP is always packed. They tend to overestimate their wait times(a quote of 30 minutes will likely yield a 10 – 15 minute wait), but better that than the opposite. Just be prepared to wait a little — it is worth it! They have what seems like a ton of people working there, but they’re all dashing around actually doing stuff, and service has been excellent, both at a table and at the bar. And the food — oh my god, the food. So far I’ve had the Saturday morning special scramble, which was actually NOT dried out(a nice change from pretty much every restaurant), and the classic eggs Benedict. WOW. Perfectly poached eggs, crispy English muffin, shaved ham, and a fabulous hollandaise. Their potatoes are delicious, and honestly, they don’t even need the(perfectly decent) salad on the side. The coffee is also excellent, and they serve cream in those cute little metal pitchers, which they keep chilled in the fridge. And as others have mentioned, the inside of the restaurant does not remotely feel like you’re in a strip mall. I can’t wait for warmer weather and the patio to open! This is definitely the best breakfast place by a mile that I’ve tried in Wisconsin, and probably the only joint in Appleton I’d voluntarily drive to from Oshkosh. YUM!
