They finally closed. I was told two more weeks but they have locked the doors. It sucks because places like McDonald’s and Burger King still exist which serve terrible products.

Pleasantly surprised. Staff was excellent and courteous. Overall, it’s like a Subway, but with pita instead of subs. We had a BLT and one with Black Forest ham. The meat portions were generous and they were both tasty. Note that it does get a little busy at lunchtime.

Super service! The girl behind the counter was very helpful, quick, suggestive, and considerate. She checked with my sister about her vegetarianism before handling her food. VERYGOOD!

Slooooow. Even with 4 people on the crew they move at about ¼ of the speed I have seen at other Pita Pit locations with fewer crew members. Plan on waiting about 10 – 15 minutes for your order.

Pita Pit is a chain with many locations around central Florida and throughout the US. The food is good, sometimes really good if you get someone behind the counter who gives a damn about what they are doing. Chances are slim, however. :) It’s a good concept and you pretty much get what you pay for. They have ample veggies to choose from and a nice variety of sauces. You can make it as healthy or unhealthy as you want, really. They have vegetarian options as well as plenty of meat options and though I haven’t tried it, I know they serve breakfast as well.

I really like to go here for lunch during my work day. The food is always fresh and yummy and the staff super friendly and awesome. While it is all healthy and fresh it can still be about 400 – 800 calories so just choose wisely lol. I tend to go for the Chicken Slovakia with sauteed onions and mushrooms with tomato, sprouts jalapenos and tzatziki sauce. But all I have tried there has been tasty!

Pita Pit finally came to a town near me ! Usually they only tend to be near colleges, but then that theory got blown away when I heard Lake Mary got one ! Super Stoked you put one in the Hunt Club area… right down the street from the Salon I work at ! Always Good Service, and even better food ! Chicken Ceasar Bacon and Hummus, it gets no better.

Pita Pit is a great addition to the Apopka area. The set up reminds me of a Quizno’s, except instead of bread they use pitas. There is a basic menu and a toppings bar. They grill the meats on the grill while you wait then put together your pita with the toppings of your choice. The man working behind the counter was helpful in explaining the menu, since I was a first timer. I opted for the Hawaiian pita which came with ham, chicken, pineapple and teriyaki sauce. After adding my toppings of yellow peppers, red onions and lettuce I had a hefty, filling, but low-carb lunch. I wish they had other side options besides chips for their meals. I’m looking forward to trying other pitas! Ps– for dessert walk next door to B Cupcakes– you won’t be sorry!

Finally a little closer to home. It’s good to see Pita Pit stretching out a little bit. I’ve always loved the UCF, Winter Park, and Downtown locations but this is a great opportunity to get away from the crowds. The location is excellent being right on 436 on the East side of Apopka. It offers a good amount of seating and room to move around. Oh, and the food is exactly what to expect, meaty and delicious. I highly recommend the Buffalo Chicken. I will say my first visit was a little below Pita Pit standards, however I’m sure the staff was new and still getting their feet wet, so I’m not going to be too critical… yet. Overall Pita Pit is a welcome addition to Apopka and will be seeing a lot more of me.

Pretty darn good! I remember Pita Pit from my UCF days. I was very excited when I saw they were opening a location down the street from my home. Now I can have pita pit-goodness any day of the week! I would recommend not getting the whole wheat pita however, it crumbles easily. It is hard to keep your pita goodness together when the pita itself is falling apart. I did not have that problem with the white pita. The ingredients are fresh and delish. I got the buffalo chicken pita. it is so so good. The location is clean and while some of the kids working there may be bored out of their minds(the register girl) the other kids were nice and very helpful. If you get a chance you should give this place a try.
