Chung Xiang Chinese Restaurant

This definitely is the best Chinese in Apopka, hands down. Its a family run restaurant, and they are very nice people. We order by phone and it’s always ready by the time we get there.
These 1 star negative reviews sound made up by people who wanted free meals. I have been eating here for about 7 years, about once a month with my family. None of us have ever gotten sick or found anything weird in our food. We have a member of the family with a severe shellfish allergy and he hasn’t gotten any reactions yet, so they keep their kitchen clean. Try it for yourself.

One of the only Chinese takeout in the area. And it never fails. Very respectable and kind and courteous. And they will make special requests spicy not spicy and also if you have food allergies.

If I could give negative stars I would… I found hair in my food and the lady who runs the front tried to accuse me of putting it in my own food. She didn’t want to give me my money back and demanded I bring the soda back that came with my meal and then tried to say I drank to much so she was keeping a dollar for it. Which was utterly disrespectful and her attitude was so bad I had to make sure I let people know about my experience. God doesn’t like ugliness. Oh and I can’t forget she tried to over charge me for my meal to begin with and since I did go to high school and college I can do math quite well to know when someone is trying to get over on me. I should have run out then.

It’s better than your average Chinese restaurant and I recommended coming here the one near the public in James town is very bland and the lady in the front is ver rude but this one is friendly and I will be absolutely be coming back for the chicken wings with white rice cause I love wings who doesn’t?

After several positive reviews from my neighborhood on «Next Door» app, we decided to give it a try. Never had a good experience at any Chinese restaurant in a Publix strip mall. Chinese food in Florida is seldom close to what I grew up with in NY. I am pleased to say that this is the best take out in the Apopka area in my opinion. They were super friendly and get this… they gave a free quart of their wonton soup for us to try. When was the last you received an amuse from a Chinese restaurant or any restaurant in that price range for that matter. Hunan Chicken was a nice heat level with good amount of meat and the right proportions of veggies. The Szechuan chicken was even better but the Szechuan shrimp only had a few pieces of 30/​35ct shrimp.
we will certainly continue to order from them again.

Gross… all of it. That is how I responded when my husband asked how mine was. I had ordered crab rangon, cashew chicken and an order of general tsao chicken. My husband got beef broc. Egg rolls, and won ton soup. Each and every item smelled either old, rank, peculiar and just plain putrid. Yuck I will probably never eat ANY Chinese food again because of this experience. I waited all night to see if I was going to be sick, but obviously we didn’t eat enough to make this happen. I know of one pretty good Chinese take out in eustis, by the old k~mart! other than that maybe altamonte?

This place used to be good untill we ordered a chicken dish that had metal wire from a scrub brush in it! I called the owner said he would give a free meal next visit I called ahead the little girl who answered told me it would be taken care of when I got the cashier yelled back into the kitchen in whatever language they speak. The cook came to register and told he he would only give 5 $ off. I reminded him of situation he pulled a receipt from a vase full of reciepts on was and told me I waited to long to get free meal. So beware! This is not the only place in the area and I recommend not eating this food! nless you are ready to be shanghaied!!!

This used to be our go to neighborhood fast food Chinese. Not anymore. It is your typical strip mall place, open kitchen with front door propped open. I never felt like I wanted to touch anything, it all looked like it needed a good cleaning but the place is always busy.
For a awhile there were no incidents. Then one time after eating the hubby had an upset stomach but we didn’t think anything about it. The next time we order for the family not only my husband but my Dad and sister didn’t feel well either. I’ve never been affected but I have a stomach of steel.
Since the last too coincidental bubble gut outbreak we decided we will not be going back.
