I have visited 2 times for massage. The first time, Michelle did a fabulous job. So I decided to try again. Unfortunately I got a different therapist, but what made it bad was that she was sick. She coughed throughout the massage and I began getting worried that I would get sick. I could not relax and I came home and immediately took a shower and began drinking orange juice. I spoke with the manager who said they don’t allow therapists to work on patients when they are sick, and this therapist just has allergies. Well, since allergies frequently turn into head or chest colds and congestion, what the manager said is rubbish and regardless, if a therapist is coughing throughout then I think a better policy is to give the customer the option to reschedule or change therapists. Anyway, there are too many other options for massage in this area to come back to this place.

Thank you for your response. If this happens to someone else, you may want to offer a little compensation. For instance, I work full time, and took the day OFF, and used gas to drive from Raleigh and back. Perhaps a nice jar of face crème or something akin to that would have been considerate.

TSI provides beyond exceptional services and customer service. Very welcoming environment with an extensive product line and knowledgable staff. I’d specifically like to thank Courtlyn for her upbeat and welcoming attitude she displays every time I come to TSI, and Monica for a superb facial accompanied by a friendly demeanor. Facials are customized for your skin type, and are a very reasonable price. I frequent this location monthly, and plan to be returning again soon because of the wonderful experiences I continue to have when visiting. Thanks again!

TSI is an amazing medical spa. They are more than a ‘spa’. They offer sound clinical advice to their patients. Yes, I love the cosmeceuticals aspect of TSI. But Jennie helps patients turn their skin problems around. She is also an artist with her work with cosmeceuticals. She takes her work and her patients seriously and to heart. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Jennie and taking her advice.

You can call your patients combative and abusive or anything you may choose– you lose a patient after 14 months, it’s your loss. Skin Institute is not the only place, with good insurance one can go anywhere they want and I have found the right place and the right service and attitude.

I cannot say enough good things about this spa. I have had numerous things done over the past couple years, and whoever said they were not up front about charges etc. Get a life! They run great specials. The girls that work there are knowledgeable, nice, and really care about the way you look. They have shown me things they could improve upon and then when I looked, they were right. Never pushy. They really try to educate you as to why you should do one thing vs. the other. Not necessarily more expensive either! They have told me when I don’t need something done, and I totally trust them! I recommend them to everyone I know! Most people don’t even know«I’ve had something done». They say, what do you need done? It’s my secret. You have to give them a try. You will not forget it!

I’ve been to the skin institute for a massage and laser hair removal and each visit the staff is professional and friendly. Appointments always run on time and it’s great that they have Saturday Appointments!

My first visit today was for Botox. The front office staff was very friendly and helpful. Waseem administered the Botox, and I found him to be highly competent, professional, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back!

I love that they treat teachers at the end of the school year. I’m one of those people who otherwise would never be able to afford one. My budget is all practicality, not luxury, so the massage I received was especially appreciated and great, to boot.

I bought a $ 59 deal for 30 minute massage and 60 minute facial(groupon/living social deal purchased after phone conversation with business). Went in on July 18 and it was a mixed bag with GREATMASSAGE and HORRIBLEFACIAL(I wish I bought a 60 or 90 min massage instead). The massage with Michelle(sp?) was one of the BESTMASSAGES I’ve had in a long time. That’s where the good part ended. When my 60 minute facial started, I was praying for those 60 minutes to get over. Why? — The person giving a facial seemed very inexperienced — She did not cover 100% of my face — she dabbed stuff on half my face and left the other half untreated(probably because she was wearing plastic gloves throughout the service and never switched on the light) — She never switched on the light or examined MYSKINBEFORE or during the facial!!! I’ve never had an esthetician not examine my skin before each service — She kept trying to sell more service for future while the current one was almost horrible experience(I get facials on monthyl basis, so it is not that I don’t know what the usual facial should be). The service was SOBAD that I cannot even call it a FACIAL. I felt no change in my skin at all. Bought because my usual facial place costs more than twice for same service. I guess, I got what I paid for!

VERY easy to make an appointment here, and the staff is always helpful on the phone if you have to reschedule. Pricing is very upfront and one of the more reasonable med spas. Their email specials are great, makes it totally worth going to TSI. No gimmicks. I’ve gone for two laser hair treatments and one dysport(like Botox). I’ve had great results from both. I was impressed with their lasers, much better results than I’ve had with other places. This place is great, I don’t go to any other med spa now… totally hooked!

I had been contemplating Restylane for under eye bags for a few months… swore I would never do this cosmetic stuff and I would age gracefully! Well 50 is too young to look 65… so I broke down. John did the injections and he did a wonderful job. Hardly any bruising, small amt of swelling and very little pain — not near as intimidating as I would have expected. It made a big improvement and took 15 mins… my only regret — actually needed 1.5 cc and not 1.0 for both eyes… so I may be getting a touch up. My eyes are not perfect but it did help the darkness(transparent skin) and certainly helped the bags somewhat. I can wear my contacts again — I don’t need my glasses to hide them. I will be doing it again and try and budget for this every 9 months or so… Good experience.

I have visited the skin institute for two massages now and am very happy with the results. After a brief consultation on the first visit, Gwen performed a physical therapy massage on my problem areas. On one occasion my appointment had to be canceled last minute due to an emergency in the therapists family. They offered me a free facial to make up for my loss, and I gladly accepted! If you are having muscle problems I definitely recommend a massage from TSI as they file with your insurance and you only pay the copay!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The appointments are very prompt and they have weekend appointments which is an added bonus. I have had very positive results with the treatments and before rushing me to fill prescriptions they always offer samples to try which saves me money in the end.

I was refused an appointment at the Skin Institute in Apex this afternoon because I did not want to sign the Physician-Patient Arbitration Agreement which states in the first paragraph that I am giving up my constitutional right to have a dispute decided in a court of law before a jury. I was told that on the form under Article 5 states I can revoke this agreement by providing written notice within 30 days so I signed the form and also handed them a written statement saying I would like to revoke the agreement and at that point they asked me to leave and refused to see me as a patient. I am a nurse by profession and understand wanting to reduce medical malpractice lawsuits but asking a patient to give up their constitutional rights in order to be seen has crossed the line and I think it is time for someone to shine a light on this kind of behavior.

I’ve been going to TSI for the last few months now, and I’ve really experienced some positive results with the acne treatment that I’ve been receiving. The staff is super friendly and professional, and the products that they sell have really worked wonders for my face :) The only downside to TSI is that when you are trying to checkout, it never seems to go seamlessly because they are usually dealing with other people who are trying to check out at the same time and/or trying to check other people in. I think it would help if they had more than one person who was able to check people out(right now, they only have one person to check you out). It would create less confusion/congestion at the front desk area if they had an entirely separate area for checkouts(just a suggestion).
