I don’t know how fair it is to review them right now because they’re pretty jacked up. One time I was there, there was no wall separating the two businesses(it looks like whoever owns the pizza joint also owns the Lighthouse) and everything kind of crashed into each other. Went in there a second time and they’d put up the wall, but it was unfinished and the whole place had a divey look to it. Since atmosphere is key to getting at least one star, they’re just gonna have to eat it for now. The service is unfriendly, but not jerky. Just cold, indifferent, or giving zero effs. Maybe I’d be like that too if I was always working at a construction site. As far as the food goes, it’s okay. According to their website(??) they have daily specials. I’m writing this on a Wednesday and today’s spec is «a HOT/COLD Ham and Swiss on White with Honey Mustard and side of french fries and choice of a fountain drink!» Dig that exclamation point! Mad excitement for a ham and cheese sandwich — on white bread, no less. I’ve never tried the pizza but I’ve eaten The Hangover a few times. That’s 3 Eggs, Bacon, Ham, AND Sausage, American Cheese on 8″ Sub Roll for $ 5.95. I’m kind of cheap, so I think this should go for $ 5 flat. And it’s not as substantial as it sounds, which backs up my point. Parking’s pretty easy because nobody hangs out in this plaza unless they work there. I’m not a Lighthouse hater, but this is as borderline A-OK as it gets.

This place is actually pretty good. The food was above average and the service was spectacular. Not only is it fairly priced, but you also get a decent amount of food too! I drove past this place for years without even realizing it even exists. The only compliant that I have is location. For being such a great restaurant, it’s a shame that it isn’t in a better location. It would probably be a bit more lively elsewhere! I’ll be sure to stop by whenever I’m on this side of town.

Just moved to Apex and found this small Pizza place in a strip mall. I was really surprised by the pizza! It was really good and overall not that expensive. My husband ordered a sub and it was awesome! They use only Boar’s Head deli meats which being from NY is a must for us. Great place to go! Nice people running the place!

We rarely get food to-go, but this place is tastey and super convenient! Tried the pizza a couple months ago, and just had the hot subs. Very pleased. Fast and friendly, this is becoming our busy workday go-to when cooking isn’t an option.

Lighthouse is a very unassuming place, however, the owners are extremely warm and so far it’s the best deli sandwich I’ve found in Apex. I had a Pastrami and swiss on Rye with sauerkraut and Thousand Island Dressing(Rachel) and it immediately took me back to Manhattan. They use Boars Head meat exclusively and the quality shows. 4 stars.

Proprietors were extremely welcoming. Was empty when we got here(noon Saturday) so we enjoyed the focus of their attention. Other eaters arrived while we waited, so it wasn’t just us during our visit. Service was very courteous after they took a couple minutes longer than our young kids would have preferred. The food was outstanding. Boar’s Head is worth the extra dollar per sandwich.

Is this the Lighthouse or Paradise Pizza? When I walked up, I thought it was two different restaurants(two signs, two doors). I had the chance to eat breakfast and lunch at the Lighthouse. No other customers were there when I walked in for breakfast(~ 8:00AM). Breakfast Highlights — Small selection of breakfast sandwiches — Got the New Yorker(pretzel dough bun, egg, cheese and your choice of meat) — The New Yorker is very large and tasty(hum, that alone just sounds wrong) — Coffee is meh and sitting on one of those coffee burners like a convenient store — Overall, I was happy with the breakfast. Sandwiches are cooked to order. Lunch Highlights — I got a slice of the Paradise Pizza(veggie) — Pizza is served by the slice. Like a mall food court, you pick and they reheat — Pizza was just okay. Nothing special. — Place has sandwiches and other items as well. I was lazy and just got a slice. — They also make cannolis which are damn good. I don’t know if I showed up on a down day but I was surprised there were not more people here. Perhaps being in this small strip mall is just a bad location. if you are in the neighborhood then I would recommend.

Ordered a Italian sub, which tasted pretty good. Nothing over the top. The service was quick and responsive. Nothing bad to say, except that the credit card machine was down that particular day. Nothing really extravagant to state also. Overall, a good lunch spot for a quick bite to eat.

Great, fresh salads with good portions. The pizza is tasty and the staff are very sweet. A great place to stop for lunch! The food is freshly prepared but doesn’t take too long, so I’m always in and out(with plenty of time to enjoy my food) during my lunch hour. Their cookies are fantastic, make sure you leave room! If you’re not sure what you want or want to make up your own sandwich or meal combo, just ask! They’re more than willing to accomodate. The Lighthouse Sandwich is a favorite! It’s great for kids too — if pizza isn’t a kid fav, they have great chicken fingers. I’ve been there more times than I can count and I’ve never been disappointed. You can also call your order in for pick up at the counter or at their drive through window!

I discovered this place by mistake. I’m originally from NYC and just happened to be in town. I must say their pizza reminded me of New York style pizza BUT with fresher ingredients. Definitely going to go back if I’m back in town!

Breakfast is a hit. 1st time? Try the New Yorker. Lunch specials unique to each day of the week. Trying to keep it simple? They have that boar’s head on rye. Mac salad or chips for sides. Become a regular, get lots of smiles from the family that owns and runs the place. Oh, and they have TV and beers there too. Cheers!

I’ve eaten here twice, both times at lunch. They have quite the deli menu(exclusive Boars Head), look to have yummy breakfast choices, and also have specials each day. My first lunch was one of the specials(chicken and sausage gumbo) with a ½ sandwich. Both were delicious and they came to check on my satisfaction. Today, I had the chili and while it wasn’t spicy enough for my buds, it was still very good(lots of meat and beans and thick). The food, price and location will make Lighthouse a regular stop.

This place started out as a Coffee Café, the a Deli,(Tommy’s), Now it is called Lighthouse. Tommy’s had a good menu and the food was good. But alas Tommy’s is no more«Another one bites the dust«But out of the ashes rises up yet another Deli. On Ten Ten road just off 1 next to Kangroo Gas Station.
