We visited twelve days before Christmas and they were almost completely out of fraser fir trees. They had maybe ten left(all 4 feet or shorter). Almost all trees they had were discounted because they were Charlie Brown trees. Extremely disappointed.

Fantastic trees. I bought a 6 ½ foot Frasier tree. They had a bunch to choose from. All the precut are displayed standing in water. The had a few varieties fir, spruce & more. All the freshest I think I’ve ever felt. Come. Buy a tree. And a bag of mini donuts.

Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm has been my go to spot for Christmas trees the past 3 years, and they have never disappointed! It’s a small family run operation over by Jordan Lake(you probably guessed that) in Apex, NC that offers both choose and cut trees as well as pre-cut trees. I originally came out here because I grew up cutting down my own trees with my family, and thus this farm naturally appealed to me. However, as much as I love nearly all things North Carolina, I’ve learned that the native Christmas tree species are indeed one of very few exceptions to this rule(another one being muscadine wine). The cut your own varieties offered here are Eastern Red Cedar, Virginia Pines, and Leyland Cypress. Obviously there is nothing innately wrong with these trees, they just aren’t the types that I grew up with and thus do not bring the Christmas spirit home for me. Luckily, they offer a phenomenal variety of fresh cut Fraser Firs and those are the bad boys that get me reminiscing and humming Wham’s timeless hit«Last Christmas». Seriously, these trees are high quality, beautiful, and reasonably priced at $ 49 for a 6.5 ft tree. Once you pick your tree(whether self cut or pre-cut), you just let one of the friendly workers know and they throw the tree on the back of a tractor bed and get it all netted up for you. Once you’re finished paying, you simply pull your car around and they load it up for you!(either in your trunk or on top of your car… whichever works best for you and your tree) They basically take care of everything for you. In addition to trees, Jordan Lake Christmas Tree Farm offers up fresh wreaths of different varieties and sizes, crafty ornaments, and other Christmas decorations. Plus they serve up some coffee and hot chocolate for your enjoyment. So if you need a tree this season, head on out here! Did I mention they offer discounts to returning customers? Just remember it’s cash or check only!
