This being the only greasy spoon diner in town, I was excited about it. My first time here I ordered the Spanish omelette. It was bland, and had no salsa(which is the first time I’ve ever seen a place serve a Spanish omelette and not have salsa) the hash browns were greasy and mushy. I wasn’t a fan. My next time I ordered biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs and hash browns. The gravy was way too salty, the eggs were over cooked and dry and the hash browns were mush again. I think I’ll hang up my spurs when it comes to this little place.

came in after sunday meeting for a nosh and proper introductions. the décor is basic, casual, and serviceable: tables for four throughout and booths along the wall. knicks and knacks here and there, the whole place looks oddly like rural america, go figure. a waitress told us to go ahead and seat our selves and she’d be right over with menus and to get out drinks: coffee black, sweet tea, Dr P, and waters. freshers were timely. after a little mulling I chose the brunch burger with rings: topped with bacon, egg, red onions, pickle slabs, maters, and lettuces accompanied by rings. too stinking big for my mouth so I had to take it apart and re-stack the fixin’s. forgot to ask for the egg up but aside from the too-sweet sauce it was a good sammich. the young lady ordered the mushroom swiss burger which managed to get to the table with seasoned fries but without the customary lettuces, tomatoes and stuff! this oversight was promptly corrected and then the sammich got et with delicate resolve. her folks enjoyed CFS which looked pretty tasty and we heard no complaints from that side of the table.
