We were on the road and spent the night in Antlers, OK. It was dinner time when we checked into the hotel and I asked the clerk if there was a good place for dinner. He said they had a Subway nearby. We stopped at another location and asked the same question. They said there was a Mexican restaurant in town but they didn’t eat there. I got onto Unilocal and found there was a Burger Barn and a BBQ place. We opted for BBQ. The food was pretty good. Not the best BBQ that I have eaten but filling. When you are in Antlers you don’t have much choice so give this one a try. The décor in the restaurant is a hunting motif with lots of stuffed trophies which doesn’t appeal to me but some may like eating while a mountain lion perches on a beam. All in all I think we had a pretty good meal here. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent.

We were just passing through on our way to Tulsa. So we stopped for a quick nite before getting back on the road. The meat to bun ratio on their brisket sandwich was a little low on the meat side. Good flavor but nothing to write home about. I had«beef stew» which was really beef and vegetable soup but was delicious accompanied by a huge wedge of homemade cornbread. Not a bad place to stop. Service was quick and our server checked on us multiple times.

The most food we’ve ever gotten for 10 bucks — and excellent too! Beans were tasteless, but maybe that’s how they do it in Oklahoma. The next time we come through, I’m getting the smoked chicken with spicy curly fries. Great home town feel and the parking lot was full at 1:00 in the afternoon. Loved it!

My husband and I both ordered the brisket sandwich and it was wonderful. It was not shredded but sliced. It was very tender with two choices of sauce on the table. We each had a bag of chips– Ruffles. I ordered the coleslaw and it tasted great, however the portion was very small. It was not worth $ 1.99. The desert menu looked great, but too full to try. Cute décor and I would go back.

Nice ambiance, but food was a little slow coming out of the kitchen and they ran out of smoked chicken by 5:30pm when we ordered… the food they did serve(hot/mild sausages, brisket, cole slaw and fried okra) was good not great. I’ll give it 3 out 5 Paper Plates.

I haven’t been here in a while but had a family dinner with about 10 in attendance. Our food arrive promptly, temperature was perfect and orders were all accurate. I had one of their burgers and it was really tasty. Cooked perfectly. They were short handed but you wouldn’t know it. The waitress’s took care of each other’s table if needed. It was a pleasant experience and I’ll be going back more often.

Food was average and the service was terrible! Our waitress seemed to be new and she was nice, but the other waitress was just flat out rude! I had to get up and ask for a refill on my coffee and she acted like I was bothering her. Also, when I went to pay for my check she was rude again!

The food was pretty good. No complaints about it but the service was like something I’ve never experience before. I asked a few questions concerning menu items and was basically told I don’t know. Are the ribs tender, I don’t know. Are the beans baked or pinto, basically baked. What’s the difference on the«beef» and«brisket,» a lot of people ask that, it’s hard to explain. Again, the food was pretty good. U should go if ur hungry and in the area. Ribs fell off the bone, brisket was very tender, coleslaw was excellent. However, still not sure what«beef» is on their menu.

You will not find a lot of dining places in Antlers and this one may be a pleasant surprise for you. While it is advertised as a Bar B Q place, the four of us had fried catfish which was good and it came with a lot of timings. Cold slaw, baked beans, fried okra, potato salad. It was lunch time and the parking lot was full and the restaurant seating likewise. Prices are very reasonable and the food and service was very good.
