Tanners Paradise

I really didnt want to write a review and figured Id just be out a couple hundred dollars until I met a friend at the gym last night and was listening to her tell me how she just got off the phone disputing a charge and when I asked with who, she said Tanners paradise in brentwood because after numerous calls not one person felt the need to call her back respectfully after almost three months!
Funny story about that is I have been having the same problem and finally too decided to dispute the charges on my account today also. The spray tans are aweful and very fair — not to mention twice they sent me into a room that was poorly cleaned in a regular bed… I could literally see a girls butt checks on the bed the last time I went!!! SO GROSS. The girls claim that the deep spray gets you very dark, but in reality it sure does not. I too called many times asking to cancel my membership and not one person returned my calls either! very disappointed in the management there and their services!

I haven’t tanned in 25 years. My son is getting married in Hawaii and I am so white I was afraid I would burn if I took advantage if the beach prior to the wedding. I went to both locations of tanners paradise. I had the same experience with all the staff being helpful. They explained everything and let me smell the tanning lotion before I purchased. The facility is very clean. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them yo anyone.

Manager needs to stress the severe importance cleaning the beds. Been going here for 5 years during fall winter. It came up before; however; today I came home an hour later to shower and have a rash/​raised small blisters in the mid section if my back. I remember yesterday in the bed the glass felt slippery, my lotion is not like this!
Manager needs to get stronger cleaning supplies for the importance of not spreading
Germs AND OTHER STUFF! I hope this rash on my back goes away. Wednesday is my Birthday!!! GEEZ what a present! The girls are sweet and visit each other during their work hours. But they need to understand how important it is to sanitize. From now on… I’ll be bringing my own disinfectant wipes. Yes, a patch if raised blisters and no not burnt.

I signed up for a one year membership, and all was well in the beginning. Yes there were a few issues that I could look past, like the girls in the summer time walk around with their butts hanging out of their shorts and very minimal customer service.
But the more I came there and asked questions about products or services, the more issues I had. I got different responses everytime I asked a question.
Earlier this year, I inquired about canceling my membership due to health reasons, and was told that I had to complete a form to cancel the plan, but they didn’t have any forms there that day. So, I came back a week later, and was told that I could not cancel my plan until the last month and couldn’t even sign the form until the last month.
So March being my last month, I went in yesterday to cancel my plan, and was told that I STILL couldn’t cancel my plan. When I pushed more to cancel my plan, the girl then appologized for the confusion and said I could cancel my plan and that there would be no more payments taken from my account. THEN after I leave, she calls me and appologized AGAIN for the confusion and said that I actually had come in too late in the month to make it my last month, and would still be in contract until APRIL.
These girls need to get their facts straight or need to be re-​trained!!! It is ridiculous how I can go in multiple times and get different responses for the same question EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!
So disappointed and I feel let down by this location…

Compared to other places it’s cheap, but their staff sucks. So rude. It’s like this location only hires young girls that have awful customer service, with lots of attitude. I haven’t went in there and had one good experience with the staff. They always look pissed, annoyed and only smile when their friends are there to talk to them, and I have to wait till they are done with their conversation about boys or school, only then I get acknowledged. I also never get greeted when I walk in. Must be in their policy or something. Thank god for their prices.

Quick and easy. Products are pricey, I usually buy the packets (usually $ 10+) single use (but I use them twice).

In terms of beds this place has a decent selection and a low wait time. However their policies are bull. I called 3 months ago asking to put my account on hold and the lady told me that that was fine. Fast forward 3 months I get a bill from a creditor for the last 3 months payment. I call and the girl on the other end says she is sorry the girl misinformed me but that I would have had to come in to put my account on hold and now there is nothing they can do. Now I have a negative mark on my credit and owe 3 months of a tanning membership I didn’t even use. When I asked to speak to a manager she told me the only person I could speak with was the creditor. I asked her if there was something wrong with my account and if it wasn’t really on hold, why hadn’t someone contacted me prior to sending it to a creditor, and she said «Its not our responsibility to track clients» Thanks. Worst customer service ever.

i go to Tanners Paradise after work, for a Formostar Infrared Body Wrap. My experience was pretty solid for the first 2 months. Girls were very friendly. But during my third month things seemed to decline. There was one lady there who does not know how to do the Formostar. I have to tell her how to do it. The rooms were OK. They have a little TV and DVD player so you can watch your favorite shows during your treatment.
Things gets worse when one day, i noticed that my wrap was not heating up. I’ve been there for 30mins and nothing is happening. I tried to call the front desk several time but no answer. I banged the door, screamed but still no response. I have to call the other branch to tell them my problem. But still no one came to check on me. Imagine being wrapped in a 100 degree temp. i would’ve burned in there.
I was so irritated that i decided to get up and leave, Only to find out that the lady was at the front desk. I asked her why she never answered the phone call and why she has not checked up on me. The only response that i got was «I was busy».
I cancelled my membership that same hour. Spoke to the manager. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

i would give 0 stars if i could. WORST SPRAY TAN EXPERIENCE of my entire life, and i have had countless spray tans from a lot of different tanning salons.
currently uploading photos of blackish brown streaks running down my still-​white legs. i don’t know if this place seeks out the world’s cheapest spray tan solution or if there’s something wrong with their sprayers, but i have never seen anything like this before.
first the girl at the front desk tried to sell me a lotion to «prevent streaking», which i found puzzling since i’ve never been offered such a product in any of my prior spray tan experiences. when i showed her the horrifying black spider shapes running down my legs afterwards, her response was that i could rub it off in the shower, and next time i should try going to their antioch location because it has more sprayers.
as you can imagine, i’m not exactly up for giving this establishment another whirl in a different city. this was particularly special because i was testing this place out on a visit from LA, hoping to find somewhere to get a spray tan when i return for my wedding day in a month.
thank god this was my trial run, otherwise i’d have diseased-​looking skin for my wedding day & honeymoon. still searching for a place to get a nice, black drip-​free glow for my wedding if anyone can recommend.

I have been tanning here about a month. The beds are always super clean, and the staff are waaaaayyyy more professional and friendlier than other tanning companies in the area. The spray tan, called ‘Magic Tan’ is the same as a ‘Mystic Tan’, but less sticky and less stinky. My only complaint is that they do not have the same beds at the same locations. I lied… one more con would be that they aren’t open late on the weekends :(

I have never tanned before and I went into Tanners Paradise looking to see what everything was all about.
I cannot remember the girls name that worked there but she was so paitient with me letting me know what everything was and she was very honest, she even showed me around the place so i can see the different beds. The whole place look spotless, they even put signs on the bed letting you know that it has been sanitized.
I wish i could remember the girls name, but because of her when I do really decide to start tanning i will be going to Tanners Paradise.

I will admit I am a tanning rookie so I have no other salons to compare this place to, however I am fairly happy with the level of service and cleanliness that this tanning salon has to offer.
I would rate cleanliness at a 5 Star, however the service gets a 2.5 Star:
I only started waxing because my beach Peurto Rico vacation was fast approaching and my legs were ghastly/​ghostly — and I’m Filipino! Weird I know. I tan very easy so I figure I would go about 4 times at the maxx just to help accelerate the real tan when I am in PR.
I specifically told the girl that this was my friend time on numerous occaissions. She explained to me what I needed to do, what kind of lotion to buy, etc. However in her explanations is was as if she forgot that I was a newbie. She barely explained anything at all! Luckily I did research on my own and was able to fend for my own and figure it out, but I was no very comfortable with this.
