Went in for the first time this afternoon. What a great staff, very knowledgable and friendly staff. The young salesman knew all the products we were looking at, he had great recommendations and explained everything very well. We went I looking for a new wallboard rope/handle, we ended up purchasing a new wakesurf board along with a rope/handle. The wife of the owner informed us that this awesome salesman had only been with them for 3 months. We definitely recommend stopping in here for all your boating needs. We will be back!

Sporting edge is the place for malibu parts, sales and service. The staff is friendly and honest. The store is full of wakeboards, wakesurfs, shorts, hats, and anything boat related. The only place I would go for malibu parts. Right off the highway and on the way to the delta is the perfect location. Keep up the great work!

These guys are super awesome. They are always on time when they are either repairing or winterizing your boat. The prices are great as well. Paula who is the owner is so helpful with whatever questions you might have. I highly recommend them!

UPDATE — My boat wouldn’t start! It only made clicking sounds and after we charged the battery overnight and it still wouldn’t start, I towed it to the Sporting Edge where they made time to diagnose, then fix my boat which was impressive as they had other boats in the que that day. It turned out to be the cylinoid and they had it up and running in time for our camping trip. They even apologized for charging me the $ 98 it cost to fix and gave me a full breakdown of it. I gladly paid.

2÷27÷2015 Edit« 2÷13÷2015 Edit« I bought a 2006 Sea Ray 240 Sundeck new. Before it left the dealership in Sacramento it had issues with gel coat cracks. I was told that the gel coat was just a little thick and it was just cosmetic. Through out the yrs. it developed more & more cracks and I never really had a NEW boat. I discovered that during manufacturing too much catalyst was used causing the gel coat to age rapidly. I was told the boat should never have been sold in it’s condition by a gel coat/fiberglass expert. I wanted to sell it but couldn’t with all the cracks and other than that it looked brand new, only 81hrs. I wanted Sea Ray to fix it. Yeah right, after 9 yrs. That’s when I met Paula. When I first talked to her she could tell I was upset so she calmed me down & said, «You’ll get more with honey than vinegar» regarding my chastising Sea Ray. «Why don’t you let me handle it» she said. So I did. Without any compensation from Sea Ray, Paula and her knowledgeable staff had Sea Ray come out and get my boat, shipped it to Tennessee headquarters and make me a brand new top deck for my boat. Since the lower hull was perfect and the rest of the boat was like new, with the new deck it was a new boat(almost). They put new graphics on it, brand new berber carpet and some awesome stainless steel badges on the stern. Now I have the boat always should have had, all thanks to Paula. She is a sweetheart and will do anything to make her customers happy. Tamera Lee, head of Sea Ray Customer Service, told me when Paula first talked to her about my boat Paula was actually feeling nauseated after seeing my boat and knowing I was upset about it. The woman really cares. Thanks Paula for my new boat. Mike H. El Dorado Hills

Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly people. I went in there just to ask some questions about boats and they were absolutely amazing. No pushy sales tactics, and still really helpful even though it was obvious I wasn’t browsing to buy. I kind of wish I was buying a boat, just so I could buy it here!

We drove all the way from San Mateo to Antioch for a competent Malibu repair facility and were very pleased with the Sporting Edge team. Our boat was purchased in San Jose from a now bankrupt dealer, and we have been working with an incompetent repair place since then. The team here was open, honest and competitive pricing wise. We plan to drive our boat back there as needed!

If you live in the bay area and are looking for a place to buy a boat this is the place to go. They are the definition of customer service. What a great fun family atmosphere to make a purchase. Although we have owned a boat for many years, Mike took the time to take the boat out on the water and show us all new upgrades and how they worked.

Awesome dealership. Was in the market for a new sanger. After calling a couple other dealers and getting the cold shoulder or short rude answers. Called mike from sporting edge. He was extremely helpful. Talked to me about three times on the phone and answers all questions I had about the boats. Very nice guy. No sales pitch from him at all. Wife and I decided to go down there and take a look at a couple boats. Mike and his wife were awesome people to deal with. They made the buying experience as good as it gets. Mike took us out in the boat after we bought it to show us the ropes. All my future business and reference will got to sporting edge. Wish there were more dealerships like this one. Also Derrick who works there was super informative about everything they have in the shop. He help wife and I pick out wakeboard and surf board. Also gave a couple tips on boat up keep. Thanks Derrick. Thanks sporting edge for the 2012237. Take care

I just purchased my first boat from Sporting Edge and I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the experience. While I was just getting started the staff took the time to explain the strengths and weaknesses of many different manufacturer’s models — including many that they don’t stock. I found their input to be objective and very valuable. They also answered all of my questions about boating, towing, trailering, and maintenance. When I began to look seriously at a specific model, the owner took us on a demo cruise and took the time to really let us get to know the boat. He also gave us lots of useful pointers on driving /trim settings etc. The purchase experience was fast and easy, and the staff also helped us pick life jackets and some other essential accessories. I’m very impressed with the staff, and very happy with the entire experience.

Sporting Edge is not one those places that are full of «Car Salesmen» that don’t treat you right. This place is a family run boat dealership who are all watersport people. Mike and the rest of the team always take the time to B.S. with customers and give that additional bit of information about the sport. They are a dealer for a couple different lines of boats but the value of this place is the people who work there. I bought my boat from them many years ago and still think highly of them. There have been times when I’ve said spend whatever it takes so she, my boat, runs perfectly and they only did maintenance on what was needed. It did run perfectly all season long. Needless to say I trust these guys, to buy a boat or continue to have maintenance on a boat. They have always treated me very well. When I get another boat I’ll first decide on the make and model of the boat and hope they will be a dealer of or have what I want. [Btw, I was just looking up their phone number on Unilocal and was surprised to see that no one had written a review about this place. Do Unilocalers not like to go out and hit the water?]
