They moved to across the street from hazels. Best pancakes in on this side of the hill! We go once a month for breakfast and you can’t beat their 2 pancakes, bacon or sausage and 2 eggs for 4.95. I can’t speak for lunch or dinner I only go for breakfast.

Super disappointed. Its a hole in the wall place but not in the good way. Had to wait forever for our food and they came and told us sorry for the wait someone turned of the fryer… ummm okay well unfortunately they didnt let it heat up to temperature so everything was oily and undercooked inside. The biscuits and gravy all the biscuits were burned i had to tear them open to eat them. We didnt complain because the wait. Was so long we ate and paid and ran out of that place!

Very disappointed. This is the third time this has happened. I call in to place an order to go and the Hispanic lady answers the phone, tells me to hold, then puts the phone down and never comes back on the line!!! Never again.

This place needs OSHA, smells bad, dirty chairs and tables and bathrooms are nasty, food is not great, got charged $ 13 over my bill owner wouldn’t give my money back, he is very rude, I had to call my bank to get my money back, samoan lady talks too much when you are trying to eat a meal. Prices are too high. Will not be returning back to eat There!

This place needs a visit from OSHA. You walk in and can smell mildew. Tables and chairs are super dirty with feet marks and stuff. It’s just super dirty, staffs are awful and food is of poor quality.

I ordered the Saturday prim rib special and I was so satisfied that I ended up taking 2 bites of each item and paid for my bill. I asked for medium rare and the meat came out so brown and dry it fought as I tried to swallow. The veggies taste like nothing, great for anyone who is offended by flavorful food. I’m beating myself up for not trying the gravy but to be fair I was distracted by the unique flavor of the mashed potato; it had a mild sour flavor that caught me by off guard. What put the cheery on top of the night was the 18,000 second wait for my food to come out.

This is truly one of those old school hole in the wall joints. The décor hasn’t been touched since the 70’s and its located in a little strip mall next to what might just be a junkyard in the more«seedy» part of town. Everything in the place screams«I’m old as hell put me out of my misery» BUT the food was good! That old school diner breakfast that you crave. I actually enjoyed my meal and the service was good too. A little on the pricey side for the atmosphere, $ 50 for breakfast for my family of 4, really 3(my baby shared my plate and my 2 year old ate off kids menu). I won’t be back any time soon, but I’m glad I tried it.

Terrible food, terrible prices, and annoying service. Went her for lunch with a coupon and still spent $ 30 for two people and left unhappy. The main server was good, but an older woman with a smokers voice would not leave us alone to eat and kept talking to us about the most inane and annoying topics. Will never go back and suggest others avoid this hole in the wall…

This place looks like a hole in the wall from the outside and surrounding neighborhood but inside is your typical diner. I can only rate this place off the food we had witch wasn’t bad, my bacon, mushroom, and cheese omelette was pretty good and plenty. My friend had the philly cheese steak with onion rings and it was huge! I don’t see anything wrong with this place I would come back. prices are no different than everywhere else nowadays!!!

Found this place with entertainment coupon. Buy one get one lunch or dinner entrée for up to $ 12.00 off. 50 cent bud light draft beers if you order dinner which is a bonus. Glasses are about 10oz. Pot roast is very good, steamed vegetables are cooked right. Spaghetti and meatballs had lots of meat in the sauce and a couple big meatballs but not enough noodles. Navy bean soup was bland and lukewarm. Pesto linguine didn’t taste like it should. Service is pretty good, drinks refilled and kept checking in. Small down home type place where their food tastes like average home cooking. Breakfast is pretty good and the breakfast special includes 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, pancakes and toast for $ 4.95.

I remember eating here when I was a kid, always had great food. That was 40 years ago Back in those days if you wanted to find any of the local business men or the mayor at breakfast or lunch you looked at the matchmaker, panther drive-in or riverview lodge. old time Antioch still here… in business in the same place for 70 years Décor is a little old and worn but comfortable, nice casual place… clean enough The neighborhood can be a little rough in the evening, I will eat breakfast or lunch here, not dinner, I probably wouldn’t even get out of the car after dark Hadn’t eaten here in years, decided to try their breakfast I had 2 eggs over easy, sausage, hash browns and wheat toast. Huge portions. The eggs were perfectly cooked, not undercooked or half raw, first time in awhile I had eggs in a restaurant that weren’t a little slimy or over cooked The hash browns were perfectly cooked, slightly crispy, non greasy and very tasty… and there was so much of them that they filed the plate. Sausage was great… not the cheap links that you get other places. also there was more than I expected to get Toast, Why can’t restaurant s every get the toast right?, it’s always under toasted and soggy or half burnt… Not here, it was perfect, just the way I make it at home(except when I burn it) The friend I went with had 2 eggs over medium and said it was the first time in years that a restaurant actually cooked them medium, not runny… Service was quick and friendly, nice people here. While we were there I saw the waiter go out of his way 3 times to hold the door open for customers… when is the last time you had that kind of courtesy in what is essentially a neighborhood diner ? We both agreed that this is now our favorite breakfast place, going to have to come back for lunch sometime soon 2 people a full breakfast with coffee $ 21 with tax UPDATE; I have gone back for breakfast twice since posting this review Every time I have been here it has taken less than 10 minutes to get my food. 1, Had the Denver omelet, holy crap! It was Hugh, start with 8 eggs add all the veggies and ham, thing had to be 6″ x 10″ and 2″ thick add in hash browns, and toast you really get enough food for 2 people with coffee and tax it came to $ 12 2, Huevos rancheros It had 4 eggs not the 2 you commonly get at other places; salsa on top was very tasty, mild but spiced just right for us sissies. You get the choice of rice and beans or hash browns, either way you get a mountain of food. Total with coffee and tax $ 10.81 The waitress that was here both times is a ball of energy, constantly moving, refilling coffee, wiping things down, chatting with anybody that will talk to her,

I am impressed with the Matchmaker restaurant. Sure, the location is what will keep a lot of Antioch’s finest away. However, don’t judge a book by its cover. The food is top-knotch — I ordered a steak, baked potato, fresh salad, and soup and was blown away! Budweiser’s are only 50 cents with your entrée. I’ve got very high standards for service — you must be friendly, refill my drinks, and at least pretend to want to be at work, and the wait staff overdoes themselves to perfection. Check your local paper because they often have«Buy One Entrée, Get One Free» coupons, which can save you $ 15 to $ 20(and yes, their dinner prices are a bit on the higher side, considering their location, but the quality of the food justifies the increase in price). FYI: If you’re single, senior citizen, or just don’t want to cook on Thanksgiving, they usually provide a free Thanksgiving dinner… kind of a «locals» secret.
