This pediatrician is quite old. I must say that they all move really slow. My daughters appointment was at 8:45 and they didn’t call her name until 10:30 I was pretty pissed off I believe she should’ve been seen the time that she was scheduled to be seen. Finally she got checked up and he does all the basics and it took ten mins. Like really? We sat there for almost 2 hrs to get check for 10mins? Ridiculous. The ladies at the front desk are rude and sassy. Overall I did not appreciate their service, I’m sure I’ll find a better pediatrician and better service else where.

He is a terrible dr. I took my son there one morning because he was really sick and only a month old and Dr Mahdavi tells me he’s fine. Later that day I ended up taking him to the ER because he was so sick the ER pediatrician tells me my son has RSV but thankfully didn’t need to be hospitalized. On top of that Dr Mahdavi put my son on medicine for thrush and told me to give it to him 6 times a day for SIXTYDAYS, YESSIXTYDAYS. The Pediatrician at the hospital told me that is absolutely ridiculous and that he should only be taking it 4 times a day for TENDAYS. That’s a huge difference! After blood test, and a chest X-ray we were able to go home from the hospital. I have found a new Pediatrician that is waaaay better then Mahdavi THANKGOD! Keep your children clear away from him!!!

I love dr. Madhavi!!! He is the best and has been the dr for every baby in my family from my mom to my kids, that’s three generations! The kids love him and the staff is great!

This was a very bad experience. I was recommended to Dr. Mahdavi by an aquaintance after going into labor a little earlier than expected. His bedside manner is good, always good with the baby. I ended up switching pediatricians b/c of a difference in opinion over giving her rice cereal of all things. Anyhow, what followed next has been the nightmare of my life. I started receiving bills for all sorts of odd things that my daughter never had: jaundice, dermititis, acute frontal sinisitus– i would’ve never noticed except for that my ‘well baby’ visits were 100% covered and these all had co-pays. I contacted the billing office who told me i’d have to contact the dr. office about changing any billing codes. I contacted the dr. office, the receptionist took a msg for the office mngr… who never called me back. The next month I recieved another bill and repeated the whole process again… and again… and again. My daughter is now 15 months and I am recieving ‘final notices’ from the billing office. I called the receptionist and told her if I didn’t hear back from the office mananger by the next day, I was coming down there and that I wanted a copy of my daughters charts. When I got there the next day(b/c of course no one called me back) the office mngr told me she would get to my problem within the next few days that she had ‘a few other things to do 1st’. Then she told me to not ever ‘threaten’ her employees again. I was shocked and asked her WHAT she was talking about?! She said that ‘in the medical world saying your coming into the lobby is considered a threat’. She was very condescending and rude and I really don’t think she heard a WORD i was saying about my billing issue. Imagine my surprise after I got the copies of my daughters chart to see that they had her middle name COMPLETELY wrong– ‘Noël’ instead of ‘Mia’ and her b-day wrong too! This has got to be the most incompetent staff in the world and i’m probably going to collections for the bill. The most frustrating thing is– its all one big circle! The medical billing office says ‘we’re sorry we can’t change the billing codes, call the dr. office’ The receptionist says ‘all i can do is pass along your messages’ and the office manager says ‘I haven’t gotten any msgs, and it’s not our fault if the medical billing office isnt doing their jobs’. I’m looking into filing a report for insurance fraud against this office, I’ve already made a formal complaint to Sutter. Also, they tell you to bring your kid in every 2 weeks for like MONTHS and you think its just standard if you’ve never had a baby before– its NOT covered under your well baby coverage(which is why I imagine they just start making diagnoses up) and you’ll have to pay. My advice is: check the AAP well baby check schedule ahead of time and know what will be covered– and DONOT go to this practice!!(unless you like being charged for things you weren’t seen for and then treated like a crazy person for trying to get it corrected)
