M Pamela Lauser Attorney at Law

I find Pamela Lauser to be competent, of a sound and body attorney, most importantly accountable.
I am going through a nasty divorce. Ex wife wants money she isn’t entitled too, Pam understands the language of our prenup.
I have a friend of mine that is going through alimony/​child support issues, and Pamela was brutally honest and upfront with my friend to keep the attorney she has to represent her. I asked her to go in and get a consultation from Pamela, and Pamela had already done her diligence to look in to my friends case, asked about parentage, etc.
Its not all about the money with Pamela.
When you are in the court room both parties will win some, and lose some, when it comes to divorce. Life is a gamble, I expect that. I don’t expect Pamela to win, everything for me, but I expect her to represent me well and to take accountability, and that’s exactly what she does.

AVOID THIS ATTORNEY!
In January 2015, myself & 3 previous clients were requested to present & testify to a local official committee investigating Ms. Lauser’s unethical business practices. They were also investigating her unethical & unprofessional behavior with clients including lying, poor business decisions as well as blatantly disregarding CA State Bar Association Rules.
This hearing was the first time in 8 years that this official committee was asked to come together to meet with previous clients of a local attorney to determine whether or not to suspend the attorney from the referral program. Based upon the testimony of the four of us & the additional investigation conducted by the official committee, they have suspended Ms. Lauser from this local referral service for the period of one year.
I have also filed a complaint with the CA State Bar Association for unethical business practices & misuse of client retainer funds which could cause her membership to practice law in the state of CA to be in jeopardy.
Ms. Lauser has this talk with all new clients that goes something like this, «If I represent you & I EVER catch you lying to me, I will fire you as a client immediately. I am a Christian & I am insured by Christ Mutual… «Just plain hypocritical.
A couple days after a court date, Ms. Lauser told me that she had previously given my ex-​husband her home number. She then told me that he had phoned her at home over the weekend to speak with her about me. At that point in our divorce, things between my ex & I were much more amicable, so I was able to ask him if he had her phone number & if he had called her over ‘said’ weekend. He said DEFINITELY NOT! He was also represented by counsel and that would be inappropriate. Not long afterward, I had him on speakerphone in her office & asked him the same question, he obviously answered with just what he had told me previously. Ms. Lauser had indeed been caught in her LIE!
Ms. Lauser didn’t have any time tracking software or paperwork in use to track the specific time she spent on ANY of her cases. Clients would call to make an appointment & be told they needed to add money to their retainers. She would just spout out an amount & expect the client to pay or be fired /​unrepresented.
I also found out that all retainers received from clients were SUPPOSED to be deposited into a type of Escrow account called an IOLTA account. This is required by the CA State Bar Association as they draw the interest from the IOLTA accounts that the attorney maintains in order to run and support the CA State Bar Association. This is also something that I know firsthand that Ms. Lauser DID NOT DO. From what I have been told from other attorney’s, this is the number one NO-​NO to do as a practicing attorney.
At one point in October 2014, Ms. Lauser was screaming & yelling at her receptionist in the hallway. She was telling her that she was a stupid fu*king loser, a useless employee. She threatened her with her job several times. For at least 15 minutes, I listened to Ms. Lauser call this lady, who is also her client, every unkind word you can imagine, every string of curse words you don’t want to hear come out of anyone’s mouth, much less an attorney who spouts that she is a good Christian woman.
Shortly thereafter, I confronted Ms. Lauser about her behavior & the hostile words she had directed toward her employee by showing her a basic print out from the EEOC website. Afterwhich she screamed at me, «Are you threatening me? Are you fu*king threatening me?» She continued screaming obscenities at me including, «This is my f*cking Law Firm, my f*cking Law Firm! If you don’t like it, you can just get the f*ck out! A matter of fact, why don’t you just get out, you are fired!»
After consulting with another attorney, I learned something unfortunate. A company/​firm with less than 5 employees are not held to the same sexual, verbal harassment or hostile workplace laws in which a company with 5+ employees are held.
Ms. Lauser’s offices were always a disaster. Client files spread all over her desk & office, all over the reception desk, scattered around the copier, stacked in piles in the back room. Client files mixed with other client files. NO CLIENT CONFIDENTIALITY. When I received my files from her, other clients files were intermingled with those I received.
Many times I would hear her tell people that she hadn’t ever received an email, fax or mailed correspondence which was most times a lie. When people would request to come to the office to pick up their case files, she would again LIE and tell them that their files were out being collated. That was also a LIE, there wasn’t a collating service in place at all!
As a friend pointed out to me, Ms. Lauser is prone to retribution & spiteful behavior. I agree with my friend. Ms. Lauser’s behavior & actions are definitely not becoming of an attorney much less a person claiming to be a faithful Christian.

After much frustration in family courts we were lucky enough to find Pam Lauser. We were going through a very difficult scenario and Pam hung in there much longer than any other attorney would have as the courts kept giving random excuses for extensions. I have referred both a good friend and my cousin to Pam afterwards and they were both very happy with the service and results she provided. Pam is a very smart attorney and can see through all the baloney that happens in family court.
