My family and I have travelled throughout a fair portion of Peru: Lima, Iquitos(in the jungle), and up in the Andes mountains and have grown to love Peruvian food. We’ve been here several times and have always been very happy with the food. Lomito saltado, pollo saltado(not on the menu, but they make it), anticucho, and anything else we’ve tried has been excellent. We’ve gone there(or taken out) with friends from Peru at least three times and they have ALWAYS loved the food. You’ve never had better rice in the States, the golden potatoes are amazing, and the desserts are great. I wish they carried diet Inca Kola, and the service is a bit slow. Not a great deal of ambiance here, but the food makes up for it. If they were to move to a better location(horrid location here with difficult parking), that would be great. We’ll keep coming back.

I’m a Peruvian and we love Peruvian food. This place is close to our home so we thought to give it a try. Ordered a ceviche and a lomo Saltado to go. This is what it the lomo Saltado looked like. It was really greasy for a lomo Saltado. The meat was very Fatty(grisly). I’ve been to many other Peruvian restaurants but sadly this was a disappointment. We paid $ 26 dollars for these 2 entrees but we ended up dumping 75% of it. We recommend going somewhere else to get your Peruvian fix.

After searching for a local place(94509) to eat some papusas, I Googled and found this restaurant. First things first I was confused to see the two very different cuisines in the same building(El Salvador & Peru) however, I found out why after speaking to the owner who is from Peru and his wife from El Salvador. This then brought me to the question of the name that was also confusing(The Dolphins — translated) and found that it is the owners last name … Food — I order two Cheese Papusas and two Mixed(revueltas). The cheese papusas were filled with plenty of cheese but BLAND from my experience it seemed to be missing an ingredient. The two mixed flavored papusas were«ok» too much bean to meat ration. Cheese Papusa Letter Grade = D Mixed(revuelta) Papusa Letter Grade = C However, I have learned from experience that a Papusa is hard to master and be consistent — so, I will give them another try in the near future. I’m just glad there is a place to quench a Papusa craving in Antioch’s 94509.

Never had peruvian but i tried the goat. Excellent flavor and very little gaminess. Came with white rice that reminded me of thai style sticky rice. The beans were light colored and delicious. Tried a salvodorian papusa which was great(beans and cheese). Only drawback was no fountain drinks. I will make a weekly trip from now on to try other dishes. I am a fan

disappointed with my arroz con pollo, the pupusa’s were ok. I would give it an E for effort. I will give this place another chance just because they are my people trying to make it. Hopefully the next time will be better, what can u expect for being in Antioch!

Don’t let the size of the restaurant fool you, the food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. The location is tucked on the back of a small mini– mall but once you find it, you won’t forget the location again

Just went there today to try the pupusas. It’s a small restaurant. The pupusas are inexpensive. $ 2 each compared to other bay area locations. We tried the bean and cheese, pork bean and cheese, and the plain cheese. They were all delicious. A little sloppily made but the taste was great. They also have Peruvian food like lomo saltado which I want to try at a later date. I’ll update the review then. They have a lot of desserts and the owners seem great. Ill visit again soon. Check out their Facebook page for updates and pictures.
