Nice pier to fish. If you come in the early mornings you can see otters or even sea lions. This is good for veteran and beginner anglers alike. Striped bass is mostly caught here but on occasions, black bass, flounder, mudsuckers and pike were caught. Fresh baits such as anchovies, sardines, shrimp and worms are the best. The downside is that most fish here are small. In 3 yrs I’ve fished, I’ve only caught 2 stripers bigger than 19 inches here. Come fish during incoming or outgoing tides.

This place is great for a short walk or a a calming view of the water. There is tons of mosquitoes so be prepared. Every once in awhile I also see a raccoon so be aware of your surroundings. This place isn’t the most beautiful but there isn’t many place like this in Oakley.

The reviews really hyped this place up. I brought my boyfriend and my pup thinking we could have a little family day and hang out on the shore. Nope. It’s pretty much only good for fishermen. Complete with giant wash table covered in fish guts. The«shoreline» was minimal.

Came here on one of the less foggy days this week, and I’m happy that it exists. I don’t fish, but I am an admirer of good views. I’ve been searching for a place to see the Antioch bridge up close, and thanks to Unilocal I’ve found it! The dock extends with plenty of seating areas. All but one bathroom was locked during this visit(that’s ok.) Plenty of parking, and there are a few picnic tables in the area if you’d like to have a nice picnic.

I’m so happy to have found this place through Unilocal. Thanks a bunch Unilocalers! I came here with my 3 year old and 6 year and we were so happy to have caught 4 fish(all of them had to be returned back to see because they were too small). My overall goal was to get my kids into fishing and I was very happy that they were able to experience catching a fish like I did when I was little. One word of caution to other parents, it can get very windy so bring jackets for the kids and sun block. Restroom was conveniently located so that helped alot.

This is a favorite local fishing pier and day picnic use area. Plenty of picnic tables in shaded areas for that weekend family BBQ. Let the kids and the guys head out to fish on the pier and leave us ladies to hold the fort at the picnic site and cut up that juicy watermelon or get that grill going and prepare the food. There is a ton of open grassy space for that game of flag football or a frivolous game of tag with the kiddos! Even perfect for a great game of frisbee. I did not see a horse shoe-pit. Public restrooms and also an area for cleaning your catch of the day. I believe I saw 2 water fountains and both had a pet fountain. Plenty of garbage cans throughout. Walkways are paved with a gravel path along outer area of park. Park curfew is 10pm to 5am. There is a sign at the foot of the pier that states that the fishing pier is open 24hrs and you need a fishing license from age 16 and up at all times. No camping No alcohol Free parking Free awesome delta views! You can see all the boats, jet skiers stroll under the Antioch Bridge. Lots of local birds to see. We saw a few big brown pelicans which was cool!
