One thing is true about taking a road trip across the great plains states — you’re going to do plenty of driving, and even in a car that gets good gas mileage, or one of those fancy hybrid models where you get around well in the city, you will need to fill up, because out on the open road, you’ll be tempted to push the pedal down a bit more than elsewhere — there simply isn’t much else to do(except look for those awesome windmill farms). Luckily, they do have gas stations scattered about — the one thing you’ll want to do is make sure you fill up when you have the chance, especially on back roads, since they do not have a gas station at every corner unless you’re in the big city. This one works well enough to get you to the next stop. Just don’t expect much.
