A Better Door gave us the best price!
After the failure of my neighbor’s garage door spring failed, I decided that it would be prudent to replace ours. The range of price estimates was astounding — up to $ 650 (from a company that sends coupons in the mail).
After watching a very good instructional video on spring replacement on youtube, I considered doing the replacement myself.
Fortunately, I talked to Serge from A Better Door when he was installing my neighbor’s spring. He had the necessary springs in stock on his truck and quickly installed dual springs (and made some complementary adjustments) for less than $ 200. A single spring would have been less than $ 150 but after reading a lot on the web, I thought dual springs would be worth it (

A Better Door is BBB Accredited and a licensed contractor (#871 331) for Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices. Serge says he works all throughout the area, including Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Sacramento, Citrus Heights, etc. He does new installations in addition to repairs.
We were very happy with the installation, price, and Serge’s professionalism. My wife was happy that I did not attempt the replacement myself.
