Ron may have over two decades of experience, however that does not mean anything if the job is not done to the Customer’s satisfaction. I recently had a project where the employees of «Above the Rest Floors» did not tell me the cork flooring I was having installed would not be able to be flush mounted to the staircase. So instead of telling me this and having me choose another material to create a floor with, they waited until the end of the job and then sprung this surprise on me. They tried to get me to use aluminum finishing products. As if I live in a trailer home? You’ve got to be kidding me. The work order even stated I wanted an oak stair-nose and I was told from the very beginning of the job«there would be no trip hazards» once the job was completed. The previous owner of this home liked cheap materials. I’m improving this home and to be told«just install aluminum since that’s what you have at this time» is unacceptable. Who owns this home anyway? In summary they misrepresented their work and didn’t follow my(the Customer who holds the checkbook) desired outcome and vision. Not organized. Too many people working the same job and very little cross communication between them. Most of my critiques and requests were met with lip service and, in the end, hostility. I could have installed these floors instead of paying these«professionals» to waste my time and money. This morning I fired them and will seek a company which actually takes ownership and pride in their work. «Above the Rest Floors» should be ashamed. Note: I dealt with the St Paul/Roseville location at Fairview Avenue. I assume the Anoka and Saint Paul locations are owned by the same person.
