We ordered the crab cake sandwich combo and Maryland crab vegetable soup from the counter. We were not expecting the best crab cakes in Maryland, but we were really disappointed. The crab cakes were small and appeared to be made with claw meat and a lot of filler. There were pieces of shell in the crab cakes and the soup. The soup was really simple and appeared to be made with frozen vegetables. To add insult to injury, the fries were soft and soggy. I hate to flame a business because I know there are a lot of hard working individuals doing their best, but …

It’s ok. We stopped in for a quick lunch consisting of the fish and chips platter. For about $ 10 we got two fish fillets and a whopping great serving of fries. Both fries and fish were decent but unimpressive. The fish was cooked well enough but fell apart every time we tried to get a forkful, and the fries were way too salty(and too many of them just too soggy). Considering the line was really long, they did a pretty good job with keeping up with the pace of the customers.

I’m new to Maryland and really don’t know anything about crabs or crab cakes. I’ve had a lot of different locals tell me that one place has the best crab cake and when I try them, they taste all the same to me. That being said, I really enjoyed my crab cake sandwich at Yellowtail. As someone else mentioned, the sandwich was not overpacked with breadcrumbs or extra items to plump it up. I really enjoyed the flavor and thought it was the perfect portion size. The combo of the sandwich, fries(big basket), and soda was $ 12. Not a bad price for a quick and easy dinner downtown. I would definitely return in the future!

To be completely honest, I only had the pizza here on my visit. It was really good! I can’t wait to stop back to try the crab soup and other seafood dishes. For now, they get a four for their pizza lol

Only ordered the crab cake sandwich, which had good flavor and didn’t use too much breadcrumbs to try and make it appear larger than it really was. The crab cake itself is about a half cup of crab meat. The sandwich is $ 8.49 but I was surprised to see surcharges for the lettuce($ 0.23) and tomato($ 0.47)! The tartar and cocktail sauce were complimentary though.

GREAT crab cake sandwich for only $ 5.99. Maybe not the biggest and maybe not all lump backfin but great value. Excellent service and best waterfront view in Annapolis! Love what they have done with the new Market House! Yellowfin is awesome! Definitely will be back.
