Rite Aid

This is a huge Rite Aid in the Eastport shopping center. It is located in the center of the strip near the traffic light.
I go here often for general toiletries; toothpaste, shaving stuff, mints, etc… Their frequent shopper program allows discounts similar to Giant Food sales.
The store is nearly a mini-​grocery store. It is (unfortunately) the only place the people who live on Presidents Street can shop for food. Since most of them rely on public transportation, walking three blocks to Rite Aid is one of their only options for general groceries. They have frozen foods, drinks, cleaning supplies — basically everything except a butcher and a flower shop!
I have not filled any prescriptions here but I do get some over the counter items from the pharmacy. They are friendly and I have never had a wait. I don’t know how they stay in business. :)
The lines can be long checking out… and it’s not from lack of cash registers or help. There is usually only one person working the registers while the others are out restocking shelfs or something. They are usually quick to help when there is a line but I’ve waited a while.
I want to give it 3.5 stars, but they deserve more than a «3» so I gave them a 4.

Convenient and perfectly situated for people living in Eastport. Our options for groceries and such are pretty limited so this place is really a god send. It’s always well stocked and the staff is typically pretty friendly. I’d say I go there at least twice a week.
