Unfortunately the lowest rating I can give is one star. The people there have absolutely no idea what they are doing. A pair of Ray Bans I bought was told could not be adjusted. That’s just Bull. I went to LensCrafters and had adjusted. The other pair of glasses I bought, Seraphin, which was a $ 900 frame, needs to be adjusted and tightened weekly. I was told that is normal. Again total Bull. I’ve been wearing glasses for 50 years. I have a pretty darn good idea how a frame should fit and hold up. These people are clueless and overpriced junk. LensCrafters and Sears Optical are great and will go back to them. Don’t waste your time or money at My Eye Dr.

This My Eye Doctor does not write contact prescriptions according to Maryland Law. In Maryland, a contact prescription is good for TWO years. This My Eye Doctor will only write the prescription for one year and will attempt to get you to get a new office visit if you are not aware.

Great and fast service! Atmosphere very inviting, selection of designer glasses very impressive. I took a prescription from another doctors office to have it filled. This was my first experience getting glasses, Jessica the young lady I worked with was knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. She helped me find glasses that fit my style and personality. I purchased two pair of designer glasses and couldn’t be more happy. I have already recommended this location to my boyfriend, and several girlfriends. Experience was 5 stars!!! I plan to return to this location for future needs.

Great and fast service, long hours for late afternoon appointments and Doctor is very kind and helpful. They had a great promotion when I went in for the first time. I got discounts on a new pair of glasses, year-​long supply of contacts, and chance to pick up a sunglasses. They ask you to follow up before picking up your contacts order. I enjoyed their swift and hospitable service. I would recommend to friends needing this kind of eye doctor and service.

Excellent customer service! I woke up last Saturday morning with what I thought was the start of an eye infection, and was also due for my yearly appointment, but also had a busy day ahead. Called at 10 AM to see their availability and they got me in quickly for a 10:30 AM appointment, and despite me being slightly late– they were welcoming and understanding of my delayed arrival. The doctor saw me promptly, and was able to clarify I did not have an infection, but a swollen gland and gave me the remedy to heal. She also completed my yearly review in a quick and timely manner. After seeing the doctor, the salesman who helped me was very kind, quick and helpful. I was extremely surprised at the excellent deal I got on my years worth of contacts! The lowest price I’ve ever paid! The salesman explained that My Eye Doctor matches the lowest available online cost of contacts. So that was truly a wonderful surprise! On top of all that, I got a free pair of sunglasses for getting a years worth of contacts! (Not a well known brand to me, but pilloried and cute so a nice bonus!)

I was visiting my parents in Annapolis and, of course, didn’t bring an extra set of lenses in the inevitable event of contact-​mishap.
I called My Eye Dr. and spoke to Kim. She was friendly and super helpful; offering, after I suggested payment, to provide me with a set of lenses for free.
Awesome service. I’ll be recommending this place and perhaps going back (if I have another crisis around the holiday season)!

What a great experience! Patty was fantastic with my 10yo son who was distraught to hear he needed glasses. He left smiling:) His glasses look great and were ready on only a few days.

My eye insurance is so subpar, that I cringe when it’s time to get my eyes examined. To avoid frustration, I normally end up getting my eyes checked by whichever optometrist is offering the best Groupon around the time that I am due for my annual exam.
Never again!
I seriously owe my vision to Dr. Shields. I have been wearing glasses since I was three years old, and getting my eyes examined every year. Never has an optometrist even hinted to me that I might be in danger of losing my sight. At Dr. Shield’s strong recommendation, I visited a glaucoma specialist who did confirm Dr. Shield’s feeling that I have glaucoma in my left eye (and have had it for quite some time).
I’m done with Groupon eye exams. Thank you, Dr. Shields and the wonderful staff of the MyEyeDr in Annapolis.

So I’ve been wearing glasses on and off for 13 years and. *cough* … haven’t had an eye exam or eyeglass change in about 3 years. I’d just been putting off the routine eye exam for way too long, so when a living social coupon came out (55.00 for, get this, an eye exam AND 225.00 store credit for a complete pair of glasses)… I figured this was the time to do it.
I really wasn’t expecting it to go so well. I figured I’d just read a bunch of letters, get a new prescription, and walk out with a plainish pair of glasses. That would have been just fine with me.
But my experience went very, unexpectedly well from start to finish. The staff was just so attentive. The facility was very stylish. The eye exam involved not only that standard test where you read a bunch of letters, but also included other tests that really made it a comprehensive eye exam (I remember a colorblindness test, a 3-​d test, peripheral vision test, some test where they puff some air into your eye, a test where they dilate your eyes — so don’t forget your sunglasses)… Dr. Shields was very professional as well as informative, really explaining things that none of my other optometrists have bothered to tell me before. For example, he showed me one of the pictures of my eyes blown up on his computer screen and tried to explain what everything was and how it all worked. No one’s ever done that before. I also have dry eyes, and didn’t know that by refraining from using eyedrops (natural tears), I could be damaging my eyes. Or, it’s okay to not wear my glasses all the time, when all I need them for is distance. Just basic stuff my optometrists were supposed to tell me before.
Patty, the optician that day, was very helpful as well. It turns out that the living social coupon grants 225.00 to a *complete* pair for glasses, so that means frames PLUS lenses. So that’s a little tricky — just because a pair of glasses is listed as being, say, 224.00, that only tells you the cost of the frames. The 225.00 store credit applies to the lenses and frames combined, so you’d still have to worry about the hidden cost of the lenses. Nevertheless, Patty showed me the glasses where my LivingSocial coupon would cover the entire cost of the frames *and* lenses so I wouldn’t have to pay anything, and she helped me find a pair that looked decent on me.
However, she *also* showed me a pair that were so definitely my style even though buying them would mean going well over the 255.00 store credit. I bought them anyway, partially because the glasses were so right for me, partially because of the living social deal, and largely because I got such great service that day, that I just felt bad ripping them off by having only paid the price of the coupon! (Though I will definitely be coming back in the future, even if I’m coupon-​free.)

I LOVE MyEyeDr. Although they do not accept my insurance, I still go there because of Patti. She is the best!
The doctors are super friendly and take the time to do the best job possible for you.
Today I walked in to get my glasses adjusted and ended up picking out a new pair of frames that had just come in from France.
The best selection of frames, the best doctors and the best customer care.
I will never go anywhere else!
