Wow! My fiancé and I went to Liljenquist & Beckstead to pick out our wedding bands a couple of month ago. We were met with a big smile by Sara and Robert who listened to what we were looking for and were able to tell us all about the difference between each ring we tried on. I wanted a wedding band that was exactly like the band on my engagement ring, however, they did not have anything close enough. When Sara realized this, she immediately offered to contact the designer of my ring and have him custom make one for me! Then when my fiancé liked components of two different rings, they offered to have his custom made as well! A few short weeks later, Sara let us know our rings were ready to be picked up. We met Robert in the store and he showed us our gorgeous rings and made sure they were exactly right. The staff at Liljenquist and Beckstead were unbelievably attentive and made us feel like we were rock stars. Thank you again to Sara and Robert for making our wedding day all the more special!

Oh where to start… I’ve tried to be patient… On December 4, 2014 I brought my husband’s antique Rolex in to be fixed. I was in the mall with my nephews doing their Christmas shopping. I will admit I wasn’t dressed to the nines. All I got in terms of «service» was Kerry’s very snobbish treatment. Even the paperwork for the repair reveals her distaste for the transaction. The watch is described as «Rolex?» Very scratched not original. Declared value: none with instructions to replace battery and seal. There is no battery in it. It is a wind up. Its from the early 1950’s… If it wasn’t scratched up a bit I’d be shocked. Well that was more than 2 months ago. When I call to inquire about when it will be done I get told it isn’t a priority and I’ll get a call when it is done. I’ve been given 5 different prices for the repair ranging from $ 400 to over $ 6000. The parts have been«ordered», «found used», «unavailable», and«in process of being made». All of this shocks me to death. I bought my Rolex there in 2003. Then, I was treated with respect and kindness. They have lost me as a customer. Which is too bad for them as I also have an omega and another Rolex that need work. If I could even get my husband’s watch back now they wouldn’t get this transaction either. In closing… Be ware. Dress to impress the snobs and buy big else you will be treated like a homeless bum at the mall entrance.

For years, my husband has had his eye on Breitling watches, but he could never decide on the perfect style — until he entered Liljenquist & Beckstead. As soon as we entered the store, we were greeted by the most professional and friendly sales team. They greeted us with smiles and they made us feel completely comfortable, even though we clearly didn’t know much about watches! When my husband explained that he was interested in a Breitling, they were happy to point him in the direction of watches within his preferred price range. They asked pointed questions as to the particular color(s) of watch faces that he liked, what size he was interested in, and what types of straps he liked. Once they understood my husband’s idea of the«ideal watch,» they immediately recommended three Breitlings. They also brought out several Omegas to make sure that he was completely set on a Breitling. The staff explained the features of each watch and provided more detail on the complicated workings of the watches in perfect layman terms! Having information on an expanded range of options made my husband even more confident that he was making an informed decision. Once my husband chose his watch, they were happy to explain care instructions and the warranty, and answered any other questions that he had. Before he paid, they cleaned the watch and made sure that my husband was satisfied with the fit. Thank you, L&B, for a fantastic watch-buying experience. We will surely continue to use you for all of our jewelery ventures!

My first Rolex was a 2008 Submariner that I had purchased from Lee Michaels in San Antonio, Texas while on active duty in the United States Army after having completed my undergraduate degree. Regretfully, I traded it as a down payment towards the purchase of a 2009 Harley-Davidson. My next Rolex was a 2010GMT Master which I still have. I love high end watches, vehicles, and motorcycles obviously. In addition to being 100% total and permanent medical retired Senior Army Non-Commissioned Officer who served 20 years, 9 months, 6 days on active duty I worked hard to obtain advanced degrees, certifications, and licensure in preparation for the next chapter in my family’s life after over 20 years of faithful service to God and Country. As such I know work as a civilian government civil servant. In addition I am working towards completing my PhD in Management whereby by the grace of God, tremendous opportunity I make a very comfortable income. I go to work in business suits made by Brooks Brothers and other well known designer’s and business casual. While God, County, and family are first and foremost to me I came from humble beginnings working hard to get to where I am today and am still striving for top. But, I have an will never forget where I come from or the fact that we should never judge a person by their outward appearance. I am a large menacing figure former Army Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Senior Enlisted Advisor to a Colonel. Many folks asume I am some criminal who just got out of prison with my tattoos, beard, bald head were they also plate glass me in being quite opposite of who and what I am oftentimes. So when I went to another Rolex dealer the salesman basically gave me a Rolex catalog and ignored me! So, as my family and I had visited Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers a few times met with very friendly and professional employees I elected to purchase a new Rolex from them. However, as I entered the store on this occasion I was ignored by everyone with the exception of a new 20 year old salesman named Jeffery Rogers. This young man loved watches and new what he was talking about. He was quite courteous and did not hesitate to answer my questions and show me the watches I was interested in. So I purchased a new Submariner with date whereby Jeffery was so new he had to be shown how to close the sale. It was clear that the remainder of the stores employee’s were disappointed that they did not get the sale. What they did not realize was on top of everything I new that they were supposed to have the in store jeweler go over the watch, remove the protective tape, size the watch to the customer and clean it. I don’t fault Jeffery but when fine watches are presented most of us are used to the salesman wearing white gloves showing one watch at a time. I paid for my new Rolex and an older gentleman who appeared to be one of the salesman set the date and time. I was quite disappointed as had asked them to remove the protective tape. On top of this they basically gapped the $ 9,063.00 fine timepiece obtained the box, filled out the owner’s card and handed it to me if I had just purchased a candy bar from a convince store. I am even more disappointed that when attempting to engage the other salesman in small talk conversation that they ignored me wearing their emotions on their sleeve in almost a stomping off temper tantrum sort of manner upset that they did not get the sale and Jeffery did. I am a collector if fine timepieces in that on top of my new Submariner, GMT Master Rolex’s I own the James Bond version of the Omega, Breitling Avenger, and a Zenith which is worth over six figures by itself. I do plan on purchasing other timepieces in the future while after this experience would be hesitant to do so from Liljenquist & Beckstead again. Lee Michaels in San Antonio have always treated me with great respect always offering to clean my watch and other jewelry. They even clean my wife and children’s jewelry never showing anything but the utmost professionalism unlike Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers where I was seriously taken a back by the lack of professionalism where I left feeling like I just left a car dealership that floods it’s floors with salesman willing to kill each other just to get the next sale. I certainly hope that any future interactions with Liljenquist & Beckstead Jewelers are not like what I experienced at the time I purchased my new Rolex Submariner with date from them.

The treatment I got at this Jeweler was second to none… I called and talked to Kerry and told her which Rolex I was looking for she told me she had one left and would put it in the safe for me and have it ready for the next day. When I arrived true to her word she had it ready with my name on it. She explained all the great features and I couldn’t wait to take it home. I brought two of my watches with to have sized. The gentleman came out from the back sized them and put a new battery in one of them all at no charge… I couldn’t have asked for better treatment… I am a customer for life and will buy all my watches and jewelry from them.
