Jon’s Lawns of Annapolis

I have been using the services provided by Jon since August 2015. After looking for lawn services through Google and making several phone calls to inquire about services/​pricing, I finally got in touch with Jon from Jon’s Lawns of Annapolis. He was quick to respond to my request and visited my home to give me a solid price for the bi-​weekly lawn services.
When I first moved to my new home, the lawn was dried up and full of weeds. Jon recommended a course of action to bring my lawn back to life and within a month, you could see the difference. Since then, we have had a schedule in place to ensure that my lawn is looking its best year round. He also provides other services such as leaf removal, re-​mulching and has even offered to assist in cleaning out my gutters.
My favorite thing about this business, is that Jon is always available for questions. I can call him and he will answer at any point, and I can email him and expect a response that day. He also is one of the people who cuts the grass, so he’s on site every time. Other lawn companies have owners that are behind the desk all day, but not Jon.
Overall, I have been very happy with his services and I highly recommend him and his team to treat and service your yard!

I noticed the bad review here and was surprised. She sounded like someone who couldn’t be pleased and I wanted to share my experience.
I’ve had Jon working on my landscaping for just over a year now. When he started I had a horrible weed in my lawn which was overtaking the grass. The lawn just wasn’t growing in nicely as I’d liked. I tried to manage it as best as I could for about a year and then realized I was in over my head.
I prices out 4 different providers of service. Jon wasn’t the cheapest, but he was close. But I liked the fact that he wasn’t associated with a chain lawn service and didn’t have a set treatment schedule.
He looked at my lawn, identified the weeds, took a soil sample and got back to me with his recommendation for treatment. He was more than willing to explain everything to me and let me know what was needed and what was suggested and was clear in his pricing.
Long story short, my lawn is weed free and looking great. My neighbors even commented on it.
I don’t have Jon mow my lawn, so I can’t comment to that.
I’ve had Jon do some weeding and planting around my house and he has done a wonderful job. I even had him move a bush from where he originally planted it and he did it without complaint and no additional charge.
I even noticed that on occasion while he’s treating my lawn, he cuts an edge in for me without me asking or him asking for payment.
I also like the fact I can pay Jon online without per bills or checks. I can just send the money via email. I love that feature.
Jon is reasonably priced, very accommodating, personable and provides great service.
If you’re getting quotes for lawn service, at least give Jon a chance to come out and talk to you. It is well worth the 20 min visit.

Jon did a terrible job trimming the hedges. I sent him pictures to show just how incredibly uneven and his reply was I waited too long to call him, which was merely based on the two options he provided. If he could not do the job correctly he should have never accepted the $ 150 he charges. He did not make any attempt to correct the problem. He ignored my requests to at least fix the very bad job of trimming the hedges, large dips into the top of the hedges, hacked flowering bushes and left the trimming on top of the bushes. I would not recommend his services.
I should be the one to bring legal action against Jon as he Did Not perform the service for which he was paid. I gave him every opportunity to do so. He refused. He was paid inspire is the job be did as the photographs will show you. There were issues from day one. I’d suggest finding a provided that is interested in fixing the problems rather that taking advantage of his customer.
