Jenny cut my hair. She did an excellent job. I have thin and fine hair so am a challenge to any hairdresser. Also loved the atmosphere in the salon. Both Jenny and Joey are very personable. Reasonably priced too. Highly recommend

I had to have my ramyeon and kimbap fix (which was also excellent) nearby and happen to stumble upon J & J Salon next to Tous les Jours and had a wonderful first class experience experience. I wanted to have a two block haircut but have to wait two months to get one but otherwise she did a wonderful job getting my K style hair cut. She was an expert with the scissors and included the works. J & J stands for Jenny and Joey, a husband and wife team that opened their hair salon in the heart of Annandale. They do a great job with Asian hair and for a guy like me that is used to getting a short high fade wanted something different. Really enjoyed the J & J touch as well as the service! They have gained a new client. Thank you for doing a wonderful job and understanding my hair.

Jenny is very kind and considerate. Not only she did what I had in mind but came up even better than I expected. Even took my daughters and my husband.

This is a great haircut place! The owners are super nice and they even wash your hair for you. It takes a little longer than I am used to, but it is so worth it. Jenny cut my hair and she was so detailed in making sure its all good and also cut my hair to match the trending hairstyles since I have no idea of trends these days. She did such a good job I gave her a tip. I do live in Centreville, but I would not mind driving the distance here to get my hair cut here. The only one down side, if I had to pick one, it would be parking. But the parking situation isn’t a concern for me though.

Jenny has been cutting my hair now for 6 years running (she previously worked at another place in Annandale before opening this spot). I pretty much just trust her to take good care of me, and she has seen me through a few different style changes, all of which were fun. Prices are very reasonable as well.

I highly recommend JJ salon and barber! This is a fairly new salon owned by a couple, Jenny and Joey! First, the salon has a warm, inviting atmosphere and Jenny and Joey are extremely friendly. Jenny is a phenomenal stylist and she is attentive and listens to what you want and is extremely detailed! She gave me a beautiful trim while keeping the length since I prefer to keep my hair long. I appreciate that she actually listens and caters to what you want instead of doing it her way (like some stylists I have encountered in the past.). She is also great with color! I got my roots touched up after my haircut and the result was great!
Joey, her husband, is a barber and he was cutting hair for a male client at the time I was there and the male client left the salon extremely pleased! (So if you are a guy looking for a haircut, you know where to go!)

Finding this place was my birthday present. Above all, they are professional. They changed my terrible hair to nice and cool hair. I should have taken my before/​after pictures, if so, you must be surprised. Furthermore, the staffs are very friendly. Service was great, they provided nice tea as well. I was also surprised by that they keep their shop very clean. I highly recommend this place. Certainly I will be back.

Jenny has been my hair stylist for many years and I was so thrilled when she finally opened her own salon. I’m pretty picky with my hair, but I always leave satisfied with my cuts. I would highly recommend her!

JJ stands for Jenny & Joey, a Korean couple who run the place. They were literally the only ones there and greeted my girlfriend and I warmly. Jenny cut my hair with precision and a smile. Joey was good with striking up conversations. I always feel awkward during haircuts so I appreciated that. He even offered my girlfriend green tea while she waited!
The haircut: I’ll be honest, it was a good cut but I know another place that has perfected the particular hairstyle that I like. I just wanted to try out a different place. On the bright side, JJ’s is way cheaper than the place I go to!
Overall, nice haircuts for a good price and some of the nicest people I’ve met at a salon in Annandale.

My whole family and I love this cozy place. My hair stylist Jenny is a wonderful lady I have ever met. She is really nice and will listen to what you are asking for. We are always satisfied with her service and strongly recommend Jenny at JJ salon & barber.

Jenny is an amazing stylist. She takes great care while working and the results are precise and flattering. I have gone to salons that charge far more and have walked away disappointed many times, but that has never been the case with Jenny. She is consistent every single time. The salon itself is well done. It does seem small when viewed from the outside but that is very deceptive. It is much larger and as you can see from the photos, it is warm and inviting just like the couple who own it.

I came here during my family’s Thanksgiving trip to DC. I decided to dye my hair and get my haircut, and Jenny did a great job! I never knew how therapeutic it felt to dye my hair professionally until I did it here. She also did a great job on my haircut, because it was exactly the length that I wanted. Most of the people I see on the daily basis complimented me on my haircut and my hair color. It feels great to have short hair again after not cutting it for nearly 3 months!

Love this place! Jenny and Joey are such wonderful people. Despite looking small from the outside, the inside is quite spacious and the atmosphere is comfy and warm. Was offered hot tea by Joey whilst waiting for Jenny and I believe they offer instant coffee as well, which I found to be a kind touch :) I got my hair colored by Jenny and she did an amazing job. She also gave me a trim and curled it all fancy schmancy to top it all off. She is very meticulous in her cutting and styling and as a first time customer who never deviates from her go-​to hair stylist, I found myself easily trusting her. Not only is she a great stylist, but a generous and sweet woman. I would totally recommend checking this place out! Great service and great quality.
