Even though Yechon is my preference, this place definitely gives it a run for the money. As with Yechon, it is also open 24⁄7. The food is cooked right at the table, as with Il Mee. The place is a bit smokey as a result. The TVs are set on Korean channels to enhance the Korean experience, and the waitresses are probably more bonafide Korean if that’s what you’re looking for.

I really enjoy this place, only thing worry about is waiting long time every time. They issue Groupon ticket sometimes for better price.

As a Korean-American with extensive native cuisine experience around the States, I’m just not sold by the hype of Honey Pig. I have been here only a handful of times, but I think they charge more than necessary and the service is subpar and an outlier of Korean hospitality. Since groupons are always available, I guess it was my mistake in paying full price, but I couldn’t believe it when the very rude server told me that I would have to pay for a second round of lettuce [for wraps]…seriously? I have never heard of any Korean restaurant charge extra for rice, much less lettuce. Non-Koreans, you are being played by the ridiculous price games of Honey Pig. The only redeeming quality is the quality of their meat is strong — especially the [marinated] pork belly. I have only Kogiya to compare with in the area for KBBQ, and since that is AYCE, the quality is incomparable to a non-ACYE place. If you have any other KBBQ recs, please let me know!

Really cheap prices for kalbi and samgyupsal, so there’s that. I like the atmosphere as well; it’s fun and loud. Not going to recommend the mandoo however. Just wasn’t my type of dish. It’s mainly filled with clear glass noodles. The pancake was pretty good. Service was excellent.

Always a hit or miss with Annandale’s honey pig. Sadly, I’ve always had more bad serving experiences than good ones every time I’ve gone the past few years. Service can just be bad sometimes. Hopefully this is something that get better as time goes by. The meats are pretty decent, however they’re pretty pricy(I’m pretty sure it has gotten more expensive). Sides are great. It’s great that it’s a late night option. It’s one of those places I’ll stop in once in a while just because it is such a NOVA staple.

Honey pig used to be my favorite place because of their foods. I hang out with my friends twice per month. Never have any complain. But suddenly they charge basket of lettuce for $ 2 dollar. which is ridiculous i dont know how people can eat $ 90 worth of lunch only 1 basket of lettuce. Beyond my imagination

Great late night place to grab a bite with friends. This place is open 24⁄7 and has delicious food. I usually come here to get Bulgolgi, Spice Chicken or Spicy Pork Belly. I don’t know what they put in their«spicy sauce» but I love dipping my meat in it.(Honeypig trumps Kogiya simply because of this sauce.) Typical complimentary Korean side dishes and surprisingly the service here is pretty great. Unexpected of a Kbbq place.

if you’re craving late night korean bbq, this place will meet your needs any time of the day. it’s such a fun environment! it’s very casual inside and reminds me of pocha in nyc. it’s such a nice view seeing all of the meat on the grill and all of the little silver banchan tins covering the table. plus, the name is so cute! i wish one would come to philly, it would do so well!

Pretty good spot for Korean bbq. I quite liked that potato salad side dish. Got the spicy pork belly and beef and octupus, a little too spicy but is definitely delicious. Be prepared to have your clothes reeking though! Service is super fast and they refill on sides immediately upon request.

Food: Although Honey Pig is priced on the higher side, at least the meat does not exactly disappoint. You get less than what you expect in terms of servings but the quality is still fairly good. So if you’re willing to put out the money for pretty decent Korean BBQ, then you would like Honey Pig. Probably would choose another Korean BBQ place because of this though. Service: Nothing spectacular to mention which is typical. They took our orders and flipped around our meat. Okay. Interior: I can see how Honey Pig would get crowded quick considering it’s not the largest venue out there for the plethora of Korean BBQ lovers. If you come during a weekday for lunch it does not seem to be crowded. The place is nothing fancy by any means. Super casual. As any Korean BBQ place it’s good for groups.

This place has a party atmosphere all the time. There are about 20 tvs set up to a sound system playing Korean Pop music throughout the restaurant. The food here is solid as is the beer. I usually get the beef brisket. The only thing that is lacking is the sides that come with the meat. Compared to other establishments, such as Yechon, they are seriously lacking in this department. However, the sweat/salty sauce(sorry I don’t know the proper name) is phenomenal. I recommend this place for any first time Korean BBQ-ers. Only serious draw back is the wait. There is usually a wait in the evenings and on the weekends the wait in the evening can be especially rough. If you are looking for a quick experience I would suggest going in the early afternoon.

Although a staple to the Virginia Korean neighborhood of Annandale, I’ve been here twice(considering it’s drive from DC… but worth it!) and both times have been fabulous. Korean BBQ is one of those things you just crave and Honey Pig will definitely satisfy you. I like the vibe of the place. a bit dark a bit chill and modern looking all along with some K-Pop blasting in the background. You def need your whole party there before getting seated but once you have a table… service starts very quickly like a whirlwind so props to the staff there for being quite efficient. We got the usual as far as dumplings, bulgogi, short ribs, kalbi beef… got it cooked on our little cooker thing on the table and bam you got some korean food. Wash it down with a Hiite beer and boom… done. Good times.

Foods great. Atmosphere is okay. TV/music too loud for a good conversation without having to repeat yourself. Bare minimum English-speaking Waitress too lazy to make hot water for me and said it was not available. What place can’t boil water? On top of overall, horrible service. My friends and I typically like to continue chatting afterwards for a bit but was forced to leave after we stopped eating due to the wait. Service: 0⁄5 Food: 5⁄5

I’m a proud carnivore who loves BBQ& Korean food! Maybe this is why I loved Honey Pig! Once you get out of your car you hear loud Korean club music blasting from the restaurant doors. Follow the music and be prepared for meat heaven! Once inside you’ll smell delicious grilled meats and you’ll probably have to wait awhile for a table(this place is popular) especially if you go late at night. You will get a number and they will call you when a table is ready. The friendly host seats you at a table with a large circular grill in the middle. I recommend ordering one meat per person if you’re hungry! The prices are about $ 15-$ 25 per person. The server will bring the raw meat to your grill and they will cook it up right in front of you. With your meat you also get kimchi, spicy pickles, salad, rice, cold potatoes and a few other small sides that go quite well with your delicious meat. I recommend ordering the pagogi(marinated beef) or the spicy pork belly… Both are very flavorful! There is also a sweet dipping sauce on the side for your meat. While dining you get to enjoy Korean music videos while looking at pictures of raw meat on the walls(lol). If you’re a vegetarian please don’t come here!!! But everyone else… Go to honey pig for awesome meat and a fun experience. And bonus… They’re open 24 hours… So you can dine here any time!

What the garbage. Really… Has this location taken after it’s Germantown location??? Cause it’s just as gross. Let me start by saying I’ve always been a fan of honey pig and am a repeated customer of this location and the Ellicott city location. I LOVE the Ellicott city location and I USED like this location until my visit today. Service here has never been an issue to me and the food has always been pretty good. On my visit today I have notice the ridiculous spike in prices and the significant decrease in portions! Huge pet peeve! I come to honey pig for 4 reasons: 1. Thin slice pork belly 2. Brisket 3. LA beef and 4. the steamed egg. The portion of the brisket was so small and felt like plastic. The thin slices pork belly was sooo dry! Why was it so lean?! We skipped the LA beef because of the ridiculous price. And the steamed egg tasted just like black pepper. Wtf I sat through my whole meal frustrated and regretting that I didn’t go to the Ellicott location or an AYCE Korean bbq in our area instead. With out bill today we could’ve went to the AYCE. Such a waste of a drive, waste of money, and waste of a craving. The only reason y I have this review 2 stars was because our servers were attentive and the spicy bbq items(only my bf and friend ate) were supposedly good.

I’m struck in the heart again by overly priced, average Korean food! Why can’t they get it right? Seriously, japchae costs like 4 dollars in Seoul, the biggest city in Korea. So why am I paying like 15 bucks for it in Podunk Annendale? Import costs, shmimport costs. You can’t tell me it costs 4 times the price for some dried noodles here. And then they have the audacity to charge me for a side of white rice, hah. Japchae-bap(glass noodles with rice) is an actual dish in Korea. But if I want a little bit of rice to go with my noodles, I get charged for it lol. This place gets a lot of hype for its name. But I was mortified that people would actually pay so much for the food(don’t even get me started on how grossly overpriced the BBQ is).

I’m updating my review based upon my visit here today. I’ve came with several friends for lunch. There was lack of service, we waited and waited to order a beer… And extra kimchi… And our food! Then, when I went to the restroom area by the kitchen(it used to be their restroom when I was here last time) the server lady said«it’s not there» and of course, I asked her where it was she said«I SAIDITSNOTTHERE» and walked away! I was so infuriated by her action. So rude. I feel like their customer service is just going down the hill by day! Never want to come back here again.

Who loves Honey Pig??? Jessica loves Honey Pig, it’s super duper true! Haha. This place isn’t as traditional as others in the area, but it’s a fun casual type of environment. Another place nearby gives you sides galore to go with your bbq… this place not so much, but the poultry is of awesome quality. If you’re lucky enough your wait won’t be over twenty minutes.

My friend has been raving about this place(and sending me pictures & videos of food) for quite some time now. So, as my last day in the DMV area, I was excited to have dinner here. We came here around 6 pm and there wasn’t much people yet so it was perfect since we didn’t have to wait. FOOD: Jap Chae: Sauteed Korean clear noodles with assorted vegetables. It actually had beef in it so I was extra happy about it. The portion was great — generous amount of noodles, veggies and MmmmMmmeat! My friend and I shared it, but I think I ate most of it since I love Jap Chae more than he did. I even forgot to take a picture of it. LOL. Bulgogi: Thinly sliced beef marinated in their special sauce. Super delicious! Beef Brisket: Thinly sliced Beef Brisket. Pretty darn good too. Oh the kimchi and bean sprouts are included too plus they also cook it. They actually taste great. And, plus some of the side dishes that every Korean place gives are tasty. SERVICE: There wasn’t much people when we came in so our server was pretty attentive to us. Refilled our water, took away plates that we didn’t need to use, gave more side dishes when the plate was empty, didn’t disappear too long while waiting for our meats to cook and asked how everything was. I guess my friend and I were lucky. OVERALL: I’m not a Korean BBQ expert but I really liked this place. Meat quality was decent in my opinion and I’ll be going back here when I visit the DMV area again sometime next year! :D Writing this review makes me want to get Korean BBQ already!

Sober me loves KBBQ. Drunk me LOOOOOVESKBBQ. My tastebuds did a happy dance at 3am when Starr C. told us we were getting some Korean food in Annandale. Thank the lords Honey Pig is opened 24 hours! They have a decent selection of banchan, and everyone got their own salad. Not sure how they dressed the salad, but it was quite healthy tasting!(And much needed since we were eating hella meat.) Two words: Pork. Belly. That’s all you need to know! Nom nom nom. They also play some old school kpop music videos. I can get down with that!
