I had a tomato basil soup, and it was amazing. It was super cute place with reasonable prices. They were so nice. Great place!

Loved this place. Very unique and cozy. Perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast with dear friends. The cinnamon rolls are amazing, big enough to share with the table.

This has got to be one of the dirtiest places I have ever eaten in. The food was so-so. The prices were so-so. If your idea of a good time is to browse a bunch of junk hanging off the walls and ceilings while waiting for or while eating your food, then this is the place for you. I live here and I am NOTGOINGBACK. Check out the pictures and you have a good idea of the kind of place you’ll be eating in.

Breakfast was hearty. Ordering took a long time, lots of tourists; planets style service. Omelet was huge, French toast was sweet. Coffee was fresh. Atmosphere was eclectic for sure

Great, mellow spot that’s been here a long time. It was the local grocery store until the ’60’s. The cinnamon bun is Huge, but so-so. The omelettes are packed with extras and come with both potatoes and a bagel — no need for a pastry. There is enough foot traffic to keep the coffee options fresh. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere is charming. Come, relax and enjoy.

OK, let me be up front. We did not eat here. We just checked it out because my aunt told us we should. Ginny & Jane is a combo of restaurant, bakery and gift shop. It is unique, it is totally interesting, I can see how it would be confusing to people and newcomers. I was confused. But that said, it is absolutely worth the stop. We saw a line of people waiting to pick up food, and we saw some of the plate-size cinnamon buns go by. They looked good. The gift shop portion of the store is somewhat overwhelming but really fun to look around. You should give yourself some time. This is one of those places where there are goods tucked in every nook and cranny and everywhere you look. The more time you spend, the more cool stuff you find. And hello, they sell mermaid cards. Nuff said.

I had such a great experience last time I was here, I decided to go back again, yesterday. I am thrilled I did! Once again I love this place Since I had breakfast last time, I tried lunch. I had their chicken club sandwich. Yummy.!! It was really really good. It came with a lot of french fries, that were done just the way I like, hot and crispy(but not over cooked) The cup of slaw was very good too, not to sweat or to vinaigery. I was once again so impressed by the staff as each one was very friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. I found that the store area had a lot of new things to browse through. Even in the late afternoon, this place has quite a few people either eating, or shopping. I recommend this neat, fun and super yummy place to everyone. It’s now my place to go when I’m on Anna Maria

What a fun place! Went in for a late lunch and was worried we wouldn’t be able to tear ourselves away in time for sunset on the beach! So many unique and fun items to browse in the store while waiting for one of the best burgers I’ve had in quite some time! I also appreciated the lack of salt on the generous helping of non-greasy fries that came with the burger; I like being able to control the amount of salt, so I was quite happy! A variety of different size and shaped tables wind throughout the store/restaurant; you can sit wherever you like and enjoy the eclectic store inventory while enjoying your meal. There are also a half dozen small tables outside, should you wish to enjoy the sun and people passing by on Gulf Dr. The staff was very friendly, the food prices quite reasonable. Didn’t have time to price very much of the merchandise, but I’ll be back and update my review!

I love how they repurposed an old supermarket and turned it into a shop and café! I think they did a fine job of it, even if it’s just not my style. Their location was so convenient to our vacation house that we could walk down in literally 2 minutes, but they also had ample parking. When you walk in, it is a little confusing as to where you go to order. The signage could be better. I asked the clerk, though, and she directed us to the back/left(the front door is at an angle). Once back there, it was again a little confusing. The flow of the work station made me cringe a little(or a lot). I basically grilled the poor guy running the register about where everything was and how it worked. You ordered near the right of the counter, but you picked up water and orange juice to the right of it. Then to the left, you picked up coffee drinks. Further left, you picked up your food. Even further left was the coffee accouterments. Somewhere in there was silverware. To the far right was condiments and where you brought your dishes. The whole thing was bananas! The food itself was just ok. Nothing to write home about. Their baked goods were ridiculously huge. I mean, seriously. We didn’t get any, though, so I can’t tell you how good they were. I had the bagel and lox, which had a perfectly ripe tomato on it. Massive points for awesome ripe red tomatoes! The rest of the bagel was just eh. The bagel was probably a Lender’s bagel and was barely toasted. My counterpart’s sausage was frozen sausage from a box reheated, like cheap cafeteria sausage. But he liked the potatoes and eggs. And the kidlet had a giant pancake that he demolished. He doesn’t care either way, but the maple syrup is not real, which bums me out. We had a latte and a cappuccino, both of which were good AKA not the best ever, but wayyyy better than your average cup of cheap coffee. They had Splenda on their coffee bar, too, which is totally awesome. In summation, just ok. Convenient and a solid breakfast, but it won’t knock your socks off. Having a Type A person come organize your food counter would not be misplaced.

We stopped by here on our way from Sand Key/Clearwater area enroute to Sarasota. The island itself is quiescent quiet peaceful beach town… at least on a mid Friday afternoon. Looking for a light snack towards the end of the island, this fit the bill. Parked across the street and walked in to admire all of the knick knacks and stuff galore. Plenty to keep yourself busy while you wait for your meal. Staff were very friendly, calling everyone luv, honey, funny but welcoming. Very accommodating about special requests. We enjoyed a spinach salad, Cesar salad, smoothie. Portions were fine for a light lunch. Rumor is that it gets quite busy here during peak times — so plan ahead!

I was a bit thrown off when I first stepped in looking for breakfast. Ginny’s is actually a shop with a café in the back. Find your way back there and step up to the counter. I immediately noticed the HUGE homemade pastries. WOW. Too intimidated by their size, I just ordered a sausage egg cheese sandwich on bagel, which comes with hash browns. Sandwich was good, and with the hashbrowns, it definitely fills you up. My friend and I shared the«Last Mango in Paris» smoothie because it’s a pretty big size.(Seeing a trend here? BIG portions!) It sounded so delicious, but honestly, all I tasted was the OJ.

The cinnamon roll here is crazy good. I split one with my wife and it was perfect. We got it to go and ate it out front at one of the tables they have set up so it was nice to watch the cars /golf carts go by and get a sugar high at the same time. The rest of the breakfast menu looked delicious too but the place was full and the wait for cooked food was an hour so remember to get here early. Lots of groups /families sitting at tables waiting for food. Fun store attached full of some neat items so you can browse while you wait. PS — it said on a sign that they serve mimosas all day. Score!

Been here a couple times on our honeymoon now. Had French toast the first time, was really good and was very unique. The fresh toast was in s thick cube and had some kind of cream on the inside, delicious. I got their Bango smoothie, very fruity and also delicious. Their iced coffees are also good and have a wide array of favors. The place itself is very all over the place with decorations, but that’s just their thing. The other half of the café us their shop with tons of nic-nacs and do-dads. You’ll definitely find something there you’ll wanna take home. Staff is really friendly, you never see a sour face. Highly recommend coming by once if you’re in the area for breakfast.

I think it’s the perfect place to stop by with your newspaper or with your friends. You sit in the middle of a fun store. I had a delicious mango and banana smoothie. My sister loved her freshly baked blueberry muffin.

Seriously loved this place. Very eccentric! The whole joint is loaded with different chochskis and art from local artists you can buy! Our food took forever to come out but I didn’t even notice because I was looking at all the cool things. I had the lox and bagel and it was so delicious. Real Nova Lox, so fresh and delicious. Freshly brewed coffee. Will for sure be coming back
