Have to thank the Unilocal app for finding this gem! I like the concept of this place, you find the number bag of the sand which meat you would like and then use a sharpie to customize it on the bag. Once you’re ready to order, you hand the bag over and they make it! I tried the warm Reuben and it was delicious! We didn’t try a milkshake, but they looked a lot like an old fashioned thick kind. Another plus of visiting here is that you avoid the longer lines because it is off the beaten path of the main downtown AA area.

LOVE. they need more of these in California! As a vegetarian, I always struggle at sandwich shops. There’s usually one or two options, lacking flavor and not very filling. I loved that I got to select my ingredients, and was NOT over charged if I wanted every single veggie or sauce(which I basically did). I had all the veggies(except olive salad), on a wheat bun with hummus and pesto. Delicious! So much flavor in everything. If you’ve never been there, the ordering process is an experience. You fill out and check mark a little baggy with all of your desired toppings/choices. Location is clean and employees are friendly! Highly recommend.

I am a sandwich lover, and I had a WONDERFUL experience here. It’s a new concept for me… you read the menu above your head, then pick a numbered bag that corresponds with your meat choice(ex: #4 is chicken). Then you use a Sharpie to check the boxes for all of the toppings, cheese, type of chicken or whatever meat you want(buffalo, grilled, pesto, etc.). They also offer three sizes– 7 inches is the smallest. A nice employee explained the whole thing to me. I chose the chicken pesto and WOW was it good. My usual complaint about chicken pesto is that restaurants get cheap on the pesto part(like Arbor Brewing’s Chicken Sandwich) but Which Wich added the perfectly generous amount of pesto, and it was just delicious. You can choose to have your sandwich cold or hot(toasted) which I love. I chose a whole bunch of veggie toppings and there were a lot of cheese choices too. I am often underwhelmed by chips choices in sandwich restaurants which is why I was so excited that Which Wich offers their own restaurant-made kettle chips as an option. They also have the standard bags of chips if that floats your boat. The restaurant-made kettle chips were awesome– salty, peppery, and crunchy. YUM! They also give you a HUGE plastic cup if you get a fountain drink, so I will use the cup at home and think of this delicious sandwich experience. This place is by far my favorite sandwich place in town and I have tried MANY of them! Can’t wait to go back!

Quality sandwich place! Definitely a little more expensive than potbellys or subway, but the options are much better. Super fresh sandwiches you can customize any way you’d like. You can order online for pickup(delivery has a minimum price) or order in-store. Super convenient! Had the vegetarian caprese sandwich and loaded it with veggies, it was delicious! If you’re in a hurry and need a new place to try definitely go here.

This place exceeded my expectations! Especially for fast food & sandwiches! Went in as a first time customer & the staff was super friendly & great with my kids, did I mention this is fast food?! They checked on our table about 3x to make sure everyone was fine & ask out the experience & if we were enjoying our selections! The place was very clean, has a baby changing table, & I saw the cashier cleaning the lobby. Quite rare in the fast food industry! If you fill out an online survey, you earn a free cookie on your next trip. I went to the counter & asked if I could«cash in» on the free cookie offer & she graciously obliged since we didn’t live in the area to come back for this deliciously large warm, gooey cookie! Yum! The checkout lady was super great & told us that these are franchise owned & started by a U of M student! Love supporting local! Already planning a visit to the new location in Farmington Hills, which is closer to our home!

While a ton of places like Subway and Quiznos lets you build your own sandwich, Which Wich does it in a completely different style. They add a fun flair by allowing customers to order sandwiches by grabbing bags that correspond to their desired protein option. You can choose your toppings in a stress-free environment by checking them off a list on the bag, eliminating the pressure to pick fast and not slow down the line. Both the meat and topping options here are seemingly limitless, and Which Wich have a much wider variety that other sandwich shops. Service was friendly and prompt, and employees were very willing to answer questions and provide recommendations.

Not sure how this place has been rated so high. Like someone else mentioned, the bread sinks the sandwich. The customize everything concept is cool and the staff is extremely friendly, but after one bite it’s nothing but dryness. Don’t come if you’re in a rush — the customizing takes time and in my sandwich one of the ingredients I marked was overlooked. Two stars for food alone, three after adding in service.

Went to Which Wich while I was in Ann Arbor today, ITWASGREAT. I got the Wicked which was 5 meats then I was able to choose 3 cheeses. The coolest thing was being able to add banana peppers, green peppers, olives, tomato, lettuce, spinach, cucumbers, and a few other veggies. I am very happy with my choice. I ended up going back up and getting an Oreo shake to go. Friendly staff, they were all happy to be there which made is a great experience. I’ll be back.

This place is like Subway 2.0 The sandwich has the feel of of Subway foot long, but they use better and more unique ingredients. However, that is the extent of this review being a positive one. I came in when the store was empty and left 25 minutes later with a soggy sandwich. I guess they messed up the dudes order in front of me, which screwed up their system. However, it shouldn’t matter because I counted 6 people being the counter making sandwiches! How many undergrads does it take to make a sandwich, damn. I asked for mustard and light mayo on my which, but it came out swimming in condiments. Like each bite tasted like a mayo/mustard meat smoothie. Didn’t give me alot of meat on my turkey Reuben. Meh. There are better sandwiches in AA.

Their bread sucks. I came in with high expectations. I want to love how easy it is to highly customizable sandwiches to your order. I thought the first time I perhaps made a bad sandwich, my bad for not putting any dressing on it. So I stopped a second time and got an Italian(Salami, Pepperoni, Capicola), with oil. But it was ruined, once you know how bad the bread is you can always taste it, even with all that oily goodness. Stop if you like, it really is decent, cool concept. But they really need to fix that bread.

Upon coming back to Ann Arbor, I noticed a new restaurant on Liberty St., and decided to try it. At Which Wich, a variety of bags corresponding to various meats and other menu items are available, and you customize your selection by checking different options on the bag. Although the variety was a little overwhelming at first, I settled on a medium size pesto chicken sandwich with assorted vegetables for ~$ 8. Although the wait wasn’t unbearable, it was slightly longer than I’d expect given an empty restaurant. Upon getting my sandwich I was quite impressed with the size. As for the taste, it’s definitely one of the better sandwiches in Ann Arbor. There was plenty of each ingredient, and the pesto added a unique flavor to the fresh tasting chicken. All things considered there may be better deals for $ 8 around Ann Arbor, but I didn’t come away disappointed by any means.

Pissed is the only word I have in my limited vocabulary to express the astoundingly abysmal service received here today. Pissed. Today was the second of the last of visits I will make to this location. The only reason is the combative service received on both occasions. The first visit was last week and after almost 15 minutes waiting for a shake, the Ultimate Sourdough BLT was cold. It was good, but cold. No apologies for the long wait. Today however, after waiting in line for almost five minutes to place my order, I then waited 25 minutes for the sandwich to finally be completed. In all, it took half an hour from order to completion. For the downtown office crowd these waits simply cannot continue for this place to survive. But here is the outrageous part… At 20 minutes post order I started to notice people that ordered after me getting their food. At 22 minutes post order I asked the larger of the females wrapping sandwiches how much longer would I wait. She looked at the order rack and said«its coming». at 25 minutes post order, and my lunch mate having received his food, three more people got their food. Incensed and running out of time for my lunch hour, I asked again. She then snapped and began to argue with me about the wait. Her best line: «did you not see how many of these things I had to make». Yeah, so my lunch wait is now subject to how fast three end of line employees work load, but that I should just be ok with my lunch hour being drained waiting for a simple sandwich. Which by the way, is all this place makes: sandwiches. I can’t go back. I simply will not spend my lunch hour waiting for the food. To date I have yet to ever wait nearly 30 minutes for food in downtown Ann Arbor during lunch. I have shared my story with everyone in the office letting them know to choose somewhere else to eat in under an hour.

Excellent sandwiches. They have almost too many topping options, with very good quality ingredients. My only suggestion for first timers, don’t go to crazy with the amount of toppings. You want the flavors to taste good together. I’m a big eater and the 10′ left me very full.

In love with Which wich and their order system. Simply pick out the corresponding bag, check off what you want, and hand it to the cashier. Better tasting and more customizable than Jimmy Johns and less infuriating lines of indecisive people. All for a reasonable price! Definite must lunch spot downtown.

So excited this opened up in Ann Arbor! There are so many different options to choose from, there’s always something new to try. The shakes are soo delicious it’s really hard to stay away from them. The service was excellent, I was instantly greeted by an employee who did a wonderful job explaining the ordering process as it is a little different than most places. Great location, great service and food. I will absolutely be back!
