Varsity Ann Arbor

I admit my experience with the management was tainted as they require personnel with «special training» to let me move in after hours: All I did was sign a piece of paper in the office & the keys were handed to me. It was extremely annoying that despite the involvement of the Ann Arbor Housing Dept ot was still not possible to move in after hours. I ended up staying at a hotel until 8am when they start work.
I asked management if the apartment will be cleaned as I read some reviews that it was dirty on move in day. I think they should fire the cleaner. It looked like it’s never been cleaned before. I asked for the equipments from the cleaner — Management said it would not be possible to have the cleaner clean it, not that I have any faith he would do a proper job. I went down three times & eventually they forgot & told me to come back tomorrow as they’ve gone home, despite saying they’re there till 2000.
As the apartment is disgusting, I got on my hands & knees to clean the floor — It’s like the floor of a brothel. I even found pubes on the kitchen floor. See attached pics. The mattress had shoe prints on them. Its like someone stepped on the mattress & skidded across it. Total mankness. I need to bleach myself now. Anyway, hopefully I will eventually get the cleaners tool to clean the apartment again. It was disgusting.
It’s otherwise well equipped with a fridge, microwave, washing machine & dryer, tv (not working but maintanence is busy so hopefully they’ll get it fixed sometime during my stay).
Hopefully the rest of my stay is better because I wanted to move out & I can’t with the contract.
