I felt like just another text book patient at U of M Ob/​Gyn. I really disliked having several residents come in and out of the room and ask the same questions. I understand it’s a teaching hospital but I felt like I could have googled my condition and got more information. Oh yeah that’s right they didn’t find my life threatening condition in their office. I was actually diagnosed at Hurley Medical Center in Flint a week later. A whole week I thought everything was off but I was told not to worry about it. The doctor who came in after the residents was nice but told me they had about 19 residents on staff and all/​any would be my care provider. I just couldn’t think of having to explain my extensive medical history to all 19 whenever a new one would enter the room. I think they should collaborate with each other instead of making the patient have to go through 30 minutes of wasted time at every appointment. I decided to transfer to Hurley and have been pleased ever since.
