I have given this place so many chances and every time, they disappoint. The only reason I go here is because it is close or I am with someone who wants to go here. This is a sorry excuse for Middle Eastern food(speaking of which, Ann Arbor kind of all around sucks for Middle Eastern food which is too bad). So for one, the spinach pies are always cold in the center. They don’t make their spinach pies from scratch. I asked them because I saw them take a pie out and microwave it. They said they buy them from Golden Bakery in Dearborn. I’ve ordered this a couple times and every time it is very cold In the middle. One time it was so cold I had to ask them to reheat it. I’ve also tried their vegetarian combo plate. When I got it, my friend and I literally laughed out loud because it looked nothing like the picture. It was missing one or two grape leaves and the grape leaves I did get were DRIED out and shriveled up! Grape leaves are supposed to be drenched in olive oil and lemon. Maybe this is because they microwaved the crap out of the grape leaves? Who knows? Finally, the fattoush salad(or green goddess salad as they call it) was not very good compared to other fattoush salads I’ve had. Perhaps the dressing was the issue and lacking flavor. They also don’t mix the dressing with the lettuce like most places do. I never really tried any of the meat sandwiches which may be better since they’re probably drenched with garlic sauce which can make anything taste good.

Very very very bad. Got a wrap filled with cold tasteless meat and a few pieces of veggies that were most probably the leftovers from the previous day. This place served me literally the worst food I had in AA. It is cheap, but for the same price you can at eat better in tons of different places.(wrap + fries cost about $ 8) Filling tho, if you can finish it, of course.

Very rude staff, they do not even get off the phone to take an order. They charge about 5 dollars for 3 small pieces of falafel if you order it as a side. The quality of the food is extremely inconsistent, the falafel at times can be very rubbery and stale and the falafel wrap as well as chicken shwarma is extremely mediocre. Although I live a two minute walk away I no longer eat from this establishment due to repeatedly poor service and bad food.

There are few times in your life, where the food you are eating causes your eyes to roll back, as 50 shades of Chicken Shawarma dance through your head. I have no idea who left bad reviews, but it’s safe to say that they must have The Oasis Mediterranean restaurant confused with Oasis the musical group, who no doubt make sub-par shawarma. This place has been around since I was but a wee little girl, I was always thrilled when the summer came, because they would open up the rooftop dining room and it’s just a perfect place for a scenic romantic meal. It’s inexpensive, it’s fast, it’s sinfully delicious(seriously), roasted, juicy white breast meat chicken with no fat, veins, or mealy bits.(I go here all the time) crunchy tart dill pickles, toasted flatbread, and a savory, creamy garlic spread that will leave you licking your fingers. The fries are big enough for 4 women or two college men. Check. This. Place. Out.

I’m really surprised by the low reviews, because this is seriously my favorite restaurant on South U(No T*** being on Forest ;)). Fast, filling, and delicious. Love the location. I have been visiting Oasis for the past two years. The owner and employees are all nice. My go-to is the chicken shawarma wrap, always with tons of hot sauce. I took 1 star off because the beef has always seemed dry to me, so I just stick with the chicken tawook or shawarma. I’ll keep visiting and I love to introduce it to people.

Bad. I got beef shawarma and the pita was burnt, the sauce didn’t taste like anything more that cheap Cesar dressing, the beef had no hint of flavor l, and tasted like $ 2 stir-fry beef you would get at Walmart. What a waste of 6 bucks.

What a disappointment. Ordered the shawarma combo and the chicken was very dry — not the juicy tender chicken breast I am used to getting at better Mediterranean places(for example Park Grill in Grosse Pointe). Probably because it had been sitting on the grill and the cook was too lazy to prepare it fresh. Also had a side of baba ghanouj and it was really salty. Won’t be coming back here.

Service was OK. Food(a chicken entrée and a filet minon kebabs entrée) was cold and tough. «Salad» was a joke. When I told the owner that prior Unilocal reviews were accurate, and that he was STILL serving food that was cold and tough, he smiled and thanked me(???). Bill was $ 32. You can do much better elsewhere. I wish we’d looked at Unilocal first.

Microwaved chewy meat. Hummus was good. Grape leaves were good. But the meat was literally microwaved and tasted cheap and dry. And my dish wasn’t very warm either… wasn’t even microwaved well. Edible, I’ll give it that.

Quick food joint. Decent prices and food isnt bad. Seems fairly clean and plenty of seating. Fries are crisp, and the hummus is good. Business seems a bit slow and I dont really see why. It’s not fancy but I’d come back.
